Chapter 640: Water-Fire Swordsman
Her Intimacy Level was already at 96, yet she was still this shy? She had even resisted her master’s command. Marcus found it downright infuriating.
Then, however, his thoughts drifted to the Wyvern Saint Knight, Lyanna, that valiant, heroic beauty who looked every bit like a goddess of war and carried herself with even more pride than Camillo. His curiosity immediately got the better of him. He really wanted to know what would happen if he summoned Lyanna right now, in his current state.
"Heh..."
The pervert’s lips curled into a sly grin, and he was just about to act. Still completely naked, he quickly attempted to summon his pet, the Wyvern Saint Knight Lyanna, only for the system’s warning to ring out immediately.
Ding!
[Stonehaven, you are currently improperly dressed. If you continue summoning your pet, Wyvern Saint Knight Lyanna, there is a high chance of triggering a harassment penalty. Do you wish to continue?]
’Of course not.’
His Intimacy Level with Lyanna was nowhere near high enough to take that kind of risk, and the system’s restrictions on harassment were as rigid as ever. With no other choice, Marcus reluctantly abandoned the idea.
Besides, his beautiful Alana was still here. He couldn’t exactly be that unfaithful, could he? Stroking her smooth, tender skin and breathing in her faint, elegant fragrance, reminiscent of a hundred flowers in bloom, he pulled her a little closer instead.
Unfortunately, his earlier intimacy with the Vixen Queen, Camillo, had left Alana feeling somewhat sour. She couldn’t help murmuring softly, "Such a flirt, Master..."
Even so, the obedient beauty merely nestled closer against him. Her warmth and alluring presence made his heart beat faster, and Marcus found himself completely captivated by her.
They remained wrapped in that gentle intimacy until it was almost time for his girls to finish their classes and return home. Only then did Marcus reluctantly part from Alana.
After dinner, everyone gathered at his residence in Dragon’s Roar Town. Marcus finished showing off the spoils he had obtained from the Golden Rabbit King, with the highlight naturally being the Super Divine Beast, the Yin-Yang Giant Panda. It had already claimed the number-one position on the Pet Leaderboard and was rapidly approaching the Holy Beast tier.
"Stone, cheers!"
"Bro, this kitty is amazing!"
His bros and girls were all delighted, cheering over the haul and admiring the rare rewards.
Of course, the moment they heard that Marcus would eventually be able to class-change into a Shadow Dragon Assassin, Drunkard immediately began wailing.
"Stone! Your poor little brother wanted to become the number-one assassin in the US Region! And now? Now he’ll never have a chance! Quick, somebody call the undertaker!"
Marcus gave him a look.
This guy wanted to be the number-one assassin? He had only completed his Level 50 trial yesterday and had just reached Level 50. He hadn’t even broken into the world’s top thousand yet. At this rate, becoming the number-one assassin was still a long way off.
Thunder, on the other hand, remained quiet on the surface, though Marcus knew there was plenty of pride hidden beneath that calm exterior. He had once been Marcus’s strongest rival and was once regarded as the most powerful mage in the previous game. His strength was already beginning to show. His level had caught up with the others, and he had now entered the US Region Level Leaderboard at eighth place.
Marcus glanced over the US Region Level Leaderboard again. It hadn’t undergone the earth-shattering changes he had expected after the Level 50 trials, but there were still several new faces among the top ranks.

—
Drunkard had warned him about the Blaze Fire Guild, a dark horse that had suddenly risen to become the tenth-ranked guild in the US Region. Sure enough, they were already showing their ambition, with two of their members appearing on the leaderboard.
Latecomers were rising rapidly through the ranks.
Their strength was clearly not something to be taken lightly. Their deep resources were one thing, but resources alone could not explain how quickly they had climbed. Anyone who could rise this far, this fast, had to possess considerable individual strength as well.
It seemed Old Vine’s earlier warning had been right on the mark. Marcus would have to keep a close eye on them. These ambitious people were clearly not content with merely making the rankings. Their eyes were almost certainly fixed on first place.
Yet the person who caught Marcus’s attention most, and the one who left him thinking the longest, was the player in ninth place: CryptoWarlord.
Marcus couldn’t help remembering the refined young man with the perpetual smile whom he had encountered at the Old Vine Auction House.
He had never seen CryptoWarlord on the leaderboard before. But considering the man’s wealth, his connections, and the fact that he possessed the hidden class Water-Fire Swordsman, how could someone like him possibly have remained outside the rankings?
Something about CryptoWarlord told Marcus that the man was far from simple. He absolutely could not afford to underestimate him, especially when Old Vine had spoken of CryptoWarlord with such genuine admiration and praise.
There was another thing Marcus hadn’t expected. The US Region’s number-one guild, the Black Dragon Guild, had not placed a single member on the leaderboard.
They were probably having a miserable time right now.
As for Marcus’s own bros, their progress was equally impressive. Aside from Boss Blaze and Path to Heaven, everyone else had already passed the Level 50 trial and reached Level 50. Taken together, their overall strength had risen considerably.
Their efforts, combined with the assistance of Marcus’s girls, had also pushed the renovation of Dragon’s Roar Town toward completion. After more than ten days of work, everything was nearly ready, and the town was expected to open to the public in another five or six days.
When it came to the renovations, Marcus had initially expected them to consume an astronomical amount of gold coins. Instead, Path to Heaven had come up with a much more profitable approach. He had hired models and constructed various promotional scenes across Twin Wing Island, including a styled beach surrounded by sunshine, waves, and coral reefs, creating something that looked almost like a paradise resort straight out of Hawaii.
Once word got out through the Nightmare Auction House’s screening process, the companies looking to advertise in the game came knocking one after another.
Drunkard and Invincible Strong represented the owner of Dragon’s Roar Town in the negotiations. After a series of agreements were reached, the advertising revenue alone from the first five months was enough to cover the town’s renovation and maintenance expenses, bringing in more than 5 billion gold coins.
The 10 billion gold coins Marcus had originally transferred to Lily for the renovation had also been converted and deposited into his Titanium Card, becoming a very real 1 billion dollars.
The first 900 million, the previous 1.3 billion, and now this additional 1 billion brought the total balance on Marcus’s Titanium Card to 3.2 billion dollars.
And that was only the beginning. The Nightmare Auction House was still generating a steady stream of income, while Dragon’s Roar Town was on the verge of opening its doors to the public.
Marcus had officially become a billionaire many times over, and with his wealth continuing to grow at an astonishing pace, it would not be long before he entered the ranks of the hundred-billion-dollar elite.
