Chapter 977 - 963: Instigation
Asking about the matters of the Vine Clan, also wanting to know how they were exiled to the Taixu Secret Realm.
It seems that Lotus Vine Li Xuan City doesn’t know its own origins and history.
Teng Lixuan said that his clan leader told him he came with the Holy Tree to the Taixu Secret Realm of the Vine Clan.
He doesn’t know his origins or his history.
However, Teng Lixuan said many things at the time.
He said that among plant-type Beastmen, females treat male Beastmen, especially their own Beast Husband, although not as heartless as animal-type Beastmen, they’re not much better.
He said that it shouldn’t have been like this before.
He said something must have happened causing females to be so heartless towards male Beastmen, not to the point of being excessive.
But he doesn’t know what happened in the past, although he has some inherited memories, he has no memories about the past of the Vine Clan.
He speculates that perhaps male Beastmen harmed their own wife in the past, hence the world rules changed, leaning towards protecting females.
He also said he learned from the Holy Tree that she is the hope to change everything.
So he thinks of becoming her Beast Husband.
He speculates that perhaps there was some Beastman behind causing him and the Holy Tree to fall into the Taixu Secret Realm, to protect her.
At that time, she found those words to be nonsense, not believing him at all.
But after understanding some things related to plant-type Beastmen, she felt that it might not be nonsense.
Among plant-type Beastmen, some want to kill her while others try their best to protect her.
The Vine Clan Holy Tree and Teng Lixuan are willing to protect her.
She wants to know who exactly wants to protect her.
Speaking of the Vine Clan, the High Priest shook his head and said, "Regarding the Vine Clan, we have never had contact. They are a hidden clan and seldom interact with us."
"But it’s said that they used to have a good relationship with the Phoenix Tree Clan, but later, for some unknown reason, the relationship broke."
"We only know this much, the rest is unclear."
"Hidden clans are also among the top tribes among our plant-type Beastmen. Our Mo Rong Clan is just a branch, without the main clan’s orders, we cannot probe for information rashly, nor can we randomly offend people from other clans, to avoid causing trouble to our clan."
"If so, the main clan won’t be able to protect us."
Su Muyao frowned, it seems unclear about the Vine Clan’s matters for now.
She remembered something, she continued to ask, "Do you know about the Creation Green Lotus and the Destructive Black Lotus?"
The High Priest trembled with fright, waved his hand and said, "Holy Female, this... this is not something we can discuss."
At the mention of this, the High Priest’s face lost its color, clearly scared.
Su Muyao saw this expression, her own expression turned wary for a moment, then she pondered and said, "Don’t be afraid, I’m just asking."
"You can speak freely, we won’t harm you."
"Moreover, to leave here and return to your Ancient Wilderness Continent, some things have to be cleared up."
The High Priest wiped his forehead sweat with his hand, hesitated for a moment, and then cautiously said, "There are rumors that the Lotus Clan in the place of eternity possesses these two divine spiritual objects, but these are just rumored to exist, no one has truly seen them."
"Perhaps the Lotus Clan has some records."
The High Priest’s hand continued to tremble, he certainly didn’t dare to speak recklessly about things related to Heavenly Dao Power.
Su Muyao looked at the High Priest’s appearance, knowing that as Mo Rong Clan Beastmen, a branch of the Rong Clan, they might not be able to understand much.
Those core messages, confidential information, are beyond their reach.
Su Muyao no longer pursued the topic, instead thinking about the matters of the Demon Beast.
Thinking about that Youluo Tree Beastman.
The Youluo Tree Beastman initially wanted to harm Jin Lianrong, just to obtain her purification power.
Because purification power is extremely important to these plant-type Beastmen, it can purify the entire Ancient Wilderness Continent.
But even though he wanted the purification power so badly, he shouldn’t have taken such a risk.
While confessing, the Youluo Tree Beastman also said that at the time, his family arranged his betrothal with Jin Lianrong just to gain protection from the Golden Lotus Clan.
Although the Youluo Tree Beastman spoke with truths and falsehoods, Shen Ci’an used the Soul Searching Technique to search the soul of the Youluo Tree Beastman and learned some information.
That is, indeed, the Youluo Tree Beastman was confused by Thorn Flower Clan’s Ci Xiang using an illusion technique, fell for Ci Xiang wholeheartedly thinking of calling off the engagement, but after learning Jin Lianrong awakened purification power, he regretted it.
Then he used Thorn Flower Clan’s Ci Xiang to control Jin Lianrong.
However, while controlling halfway, Jin Lianrong’s powerful force suppressed it, so Youluo Fragrance could only perform halfway.
Jin Lianrong indeed awakened purification power.
Could have saved the world, but was destroyed by the Youluo Tree Beastman and Thorn Flower Clan’s Ci Xiang.
Speaking of such a coincidence, she truly didn’t believe it.
Thinking of this, Su Muyao coldly asked, "High Priest, why did the Youluo Tree Beastman dare to harm Golden Lotus Female? Isn’t it said that females are precious?"
The High Priest was also puzzled, "We found it strange too. Youluo Tree Clan couldn’t compare in status to the Golden Lotus Clan. Although the Golden Lotus Clan hadn’t yet awakened the most important purification power, they still belonged to the top-tier clans of the Lotus Clan. When they married, the Youluo Tree Clan went for it to gain the Golden Lotus Clan’s protection."
"Moreover, before the previous Great Fate Master of the Flower Clan passed away, he made a prophecy saying the Golden Lotus Clan would awaken purification power. Once awakened, the Youluo Tree Clan that married the Golden Lotus Clan would benefit first."
"We also don’t understand why they would act out."
"And Thorn Flower Clan too, even though Ci Xiang is beautiful, the superpower is quite useless, just able to perform illusion techniques, but with weak attack, Golden Lotus Beastmen are different, even without awakened purification power, their combat strength is strong."
"But I heard, Thorn Flower Clan were ostracized in the Flower Clan, people didn’t like the Thorn Flower Beastmen whose bodies are covered with thorns, so Thorn Flower Clan held little status there."
"Even so, Thorn Flower Clan should have curried favor with Golden Lotus Beastmen, not harmed them."
"Our plant-type Beastmen, most probably aren’t so affectionate."
Su Muyao’s eyes narrowed dangerously, "What if someone stirred this from behind?"
"Or someone backing them up?"
A clan of worrying status, how could they dare to take such risks.
Unless there’s something to gain.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t dare to risk their entire clan.
Upon hearing this, the High Priest widened his eyes in surprise, opened his mouth, and after coming back from the shock said, "There really might be."
"Otherwise, no one would do something so foolish."
Back then, the scandal involving Young Master Youluo Tree, Jin Lianrong, and Ci Xiang was rampant, mainly because the matter involved Jin Lianrong.
"If there’s a power backing it up, then they might risk everything for a good future for the clan."
"Although our Ancient Wilderness Continent is vast, the pollution is severe, and food resources are dwindling."
In fact, he also wanted the clan to store more food, to expand their territory.
Falling into this place, indeed without pollution, with good spiritual energy, but with great threats from giant beasts.
Besides, people always long for their homeland.
No matter how good the outside world is, they want to return to where they’ve lived since childhood.
