Chapter 184 (2): Better than Divine Blood

Filomina tucked her long silver hair behind her ear. Only then did she realize why Mona had stopped moving. Three barriers stood in their way, each corresponding to the faith magic of Nature, Sun, and Moonlight. The layers of checkpoints required the three faiths for entrance.

Filomina had learned Life Magic, so she was certain that she could easily pass the obstacle. She glanced at Mona and said sarcastically, “This isn’t where you should be. Return to your church and sing in the choir. Remember to dress more properly, or you may be a bad influence on the boys.”

“What do you know?” A vein popped out on Mona’s forehead. Heretics always saw them through a biased perspective. The uniform she wore came from the Papal State. Even angels approved of the design. How was it improper?

Ignoring her, Filomina opened the way with her sword, eyes glinting with silver light. She first unlocked the seal of Moonlight. The key matched. She could enter.

Wayne had returned the Single-edged Sword of Waning Moon to Filomina to show that his love for her was greater than her love for him. For that, he would give her everything without reservation.

After the first seal came another two that wouldn’t open. Although Filomina had studied Life Magic, Nature and Sun only played a supporting role in her magic, and she wasn’t knowledgeable enough in them. Her key was too small for the keyhole, so to speak, and twisting it proved fruitless.

Mona followed right after her. When she saw Filomina stumped, she covered her mouth and chuckled coquettishly, her fake laughter grating on Filomina.

“Seals set up by a legendary mage...”

Filomina stood unmoving with a dark look on her face. The two seals required too much faith in Nature and Sun for her to bypass. Even if Mona infuriated her so much that she became a legendary mage right then and there, she still wouldn’t be able to enter.

Conversely, no faithful legendary mage would be able to set up the triple seals. Whoever did it had to be a free mage with no loyalty.

Filomina sheathed her sword. Silver light bloomed in her eyes, and a black crack opened up behind her, reaching a hundred meters into the sky before slowly opening sideways like the dramatic opening of a play.

After what happened at the Capital Hotel, she had applied for a great amount of resources from the Church of Moonlight, including four treasures that the church had passed down through generations.
