She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Chapter 375 - 374: Victims Behind the Holographic Reality Show, Part 27

"Is it okay now?" asked Xie Fuguang.

He was somewhat uncomfortable being stared at, but looking elsewhere didn’t seem right either, so he could only bear her gaze.

"Do you have a girlfriend?"

Xie Fuguang was taken aback, unsure why she asked this, but instinctively replied, "No."

He certainly knew what a girlfriend was, but he never had such thoughts.

"What do you think of me?" Ah Chen asked with a smile. Without waiting for his response, she continued, "It seems I’ve fallen for you at first sight. What should I do?"

Xie Fuguang nearly turned off the monitor. What was she doing?

In his current state, he didn’t look like a normal human, yet she said she had fallen for him at first sight. Sometimes he really suspected she had some conspiracy, but obviously not.

Apart from the data and the concocted medicine, he had nothing that anyone would covet.

"Now that you’ve seen it, will you agree to my request?"

He considered what she just said as a joke.

"You don’t find me attractive?" Ah Chen asked.

Xie Fuguang spoke awkwardly, "No, you’re great." As he said this, he felt a sudden pang of regret, as if they had met too late. "We won’t have an outcome. You’ve seen what I look like, right? I’ll soon become a monster, a terrifying monster, not the usual kind of zombie."

Inside him, there was a complex power raging. Now it was being suppressed by sheer willpower. Once he lost his human consciousness, he’d have only the instinct to destroy. To prevent himself from becoming too powerful and causing dreadful consequences for the world, he’d have to self-destruct.

Just then, a figure appeared on the screen beside him. He only glanced quickly, but it left him stunned.

What?

He hurriedly looked at Ah Chen in the room and then at the screen. They looked exactly the same! Even their expressions were very similar; it appeared they were the same person.

But the content on this screen was a live broadcast, which meant they couldn’t be the same person.

"Xie Fuguang, what are you looking at?"

Ah Chen actually had some guess; it should be that he saw her avatar in the Virtual World.

"Do you have a sister?" Xie Fuguang asked as he moved, and Ah Chen immediately saw her avatar busy outside.

She said, "No."

"Do you not know each other?" Xie Fuguang was a bit shocked. Could there really be two people who looked so alike? Standing in front of him, without looking at their pupils, it would be hard to tell them apart.

The only difference with the one on the screen was the pupils.

Ah Chen smiled, "We know each other but we are not sisters. Do you want to know what’s going on? Either come out to meet me, or let me in, and I’ll tell you personally."

Xie Fuguang clearly didn’t want to agree; his situation was somewhat dangerous now.

It wasn’t particularly important, something he could not know, even though he was very curious.

He was unwilling, and Ah Chen didn’t mean to force him.

"Don’t turn off the monitor, just let me watch. If you won’t agree, at least let me watch, okay?"

Xie Fuguang really wanted to turn it off immediately, but for some reason, he didn’t.

Ah Chen sat on the sofa, fiddling with her phone, but kept some of her attention on Xie Fuguang. Watching him busily in the laboratory, the camera filming him seemed to be hovering and followed wherever he went.

If there were no apocalypse in his world, the technology should be more advanced than in her current world.

However, the two worlds were gradually merging and would become one world in the future.

According to the Commissioner’s memory, her world would still take the lead. Now there was preparation, and her avatar would definitely be helping this world. Because this world had more people, abundant resources, and a complete order, it would definitely lead.

The world that merged over, the apocalypse might have been ongoing for some years, and the order was essentially broken.

It would be challenging to sort it out, but it had to be experienced.

It would end, and it would get better.

Talking about Yun Rou in the dormitory, she had initially planned to discuss some things at night, such as the scene of Bei Chen getting into Wen Chulin’s car, which she intended to subtly share with the live stream audience.

Didn’t Bei Chen dislike Wen Chulin? Many people thought Wen Chulin was quite creepy.

Yet she got into Wen Chulin’s car. She didn’t know what Bei Chen was thinking, but the audience would be interested. Sharing it would definitely boost the live stream’s popularity.

She wasn’t spreading rumors, just sharing what she saw.

Today being Saturday, she had stayed up late last night, so Yun Rou felt a bit tired, bought some food, and returned to the dorm to catch up on sleep. As for her two good friends who were fellow dorm mates, they were locals and went home.

There weren’t as many people on campus as usual, but still quite a few, as many out-of-town students couldn’t go home for the weekend, though many had gone out to have fun, not staying at school.

Letting her mind drift, she fell asleep. She was so tired that she slept deeply.

It was the screams and chaos outside that awakened her. She opened her eyes, turned on her phone, realizing it was already afternoon. She had slept for quite a while.

Thinking there was nothing to do, she ordered takeout and then planned to livestream. She couldn’t wait until the evening and wanted to immediately share what she saw about Bei Chen getting into Wen Chulin’s car with the audience.

What’s going on?

After starting the stream, she watched the viewership count and noticed that it didn’t surge as it usually did right upon starting.

There were viewers, but only a few, which made her feel uneasy.

After all, she had gained quite a few followers. It shouldn’t be just this few viewers.

Was she dreaming?

She pinched herself, and it was quite painful.

She asked, "What’s going on today, why is no one around?"

Her audience, initially thinking there was something happening, couldn’t resist commenting when they heard her question.

["Host, don’t you know what’s happening outside?"]

["Aren’t you good with Bei Chen? You’re not with Bei Chen?"]

["So is Bei Chen a human now or a zombie?"]

["Seems like the host doesn’t know either."]

["Wasn’t she Bei Chen’s former assistant? How would she know, they’re not related in reality anymore."]

["But she said she’s still dorm mates and classmates with Bei Chen, should know something about it, right?"]

["Thought you’d be brave enough to show us what’s happening outside."]

They said this naturally because there were currently some fearless streamers who indeed risked their lives to stream outdoors, letting those who dared not leave home see what was going on outside from the safety of their homes.

Yun Rou was completely stunned, what outside situation? What did they mean by whether Bei Chen was human or zombie now, she couldn’t understand it.

"What happened outside? I was catching up on sleep before, slept for five hours, and still don’t know the situation." Yun Rou said with a bit of a laugh, though she felt uneasy at heart.

Bang—

Just then, the dorm window was smashed, drawing her attention, and she quickly looked over, seeing a large head squeezing in through the window.

"Ah—" Yun Rou screamed in fear. What was that thing?
