"Maybe you’re just not cut out for studying, born dull," Qiann Yan concluded. "Whether you study or not is your business. I have to study, graduate from college, and get a job assignment. Every month you get a salary. But staying in the village means farming for life. What’s the future in that? If you won’t think for yourself, at least think for me, for Mom and Dad, and for An’an. You might want to spend your life here, but I don’t. I want to make something of myself, to change my fate."
Pei QianLann panicked a bit, knowing how unyielding Pei Qianyan was about studying.
