My Misfortune Crushed Instances

Chapter 381: Stepping Stones for the King

The target for fishing in the Western Kingdom has to be at least high-risk level Extraordinary.

If only some ordinary people came or the Demon Race that only existed in the Secret Realm battlefield, they wouldn’t easily send out experts to show up.

But now, there is a target on the battlefield that Ulysses is quite interested in.

"Cheng, she is an excellent support. I wish for her to disappear here, which would cause significant damage to the Dragon Country." The tone of this commander-in-chief was very calm.

"I’ll go."

Roger Simon is not a lazy guy. He is naturally combative, but when at home, he finds ordinary security matters uninteresting because the opponents are too weak.

On the contrary, the Secret Realm battlefield is a good place with many worthwhile targets to engage.

He licked his lips, reminiscent of his great battle with Guan Gui at the upper reaches of Grain Water, heard that Cheng Mingyue is not much inferior to that person, and so he would surely bring plenty of pleasure.

However, Ulysses poured a bucket of cold water on him: "You can’t go."

Simon frowned: "Why?"

"There’s a problem. Behind Cheng are people from the Huo family of Dragon Country, Huo Huang Zun, I know him. And there are people defending from the other two directions, but they haven’t moved yet."

Ulysses’ eyes were fixed on the map, "I feel something’s wrong, this Cheng also looks like bait, just larger bait, you must stay here as the final wild card."

Simon spread his hands, feeling this was overly cautious, but said nothing.

If it were someone else, they definitely wouldn’t hold him back, but Ulysses made the decision, and he did not object.

Thus, in the deliberation of the Western Kingdom’s command layer, several high-risk targets were selected, including Hopkins.

"Remember, your target is Cheng Mingyue of the Dragon Country, lurking in the Demon Race army, find the opportunity, kill quickly, and then retreat."

Ulysses personally nagged tirelessly; he must be more meticulous, because the Western Kingdom suffered more than expected losses after the last great battle, needing to recover through strategy this round.

They clearly have seen the situation, combined with the King of Suiye’s foolish move to deploy the army, which coincidentally can be exploited, thus wanting these Demons to serve as consumables to maximize their interests.

Of course, this is less efficient than having the Royal Court Demons collaborate cooperatively on command, but there’s no choice, because the Demons coming down from the highlands are filled with wildfires of desire, they can’t wait any longer.

A group started secretly traversing through the arrays gathered by the Demon Race, any of them alone would be enough to hold their own in the real world, but now assembled together, they only seek to fulfill the request and resolve the woman blocking the Royal Court army in the shortest time.

Though their strength is formidable, no one could possibly detect their approach, as nearby, it’s entirely Demon arrays, making their figures appear insignificant.

Hopkins once again led the team, this time he became much more cautious than before, the figure that gave him several days of nightmares still occasionally would appear in his mind.

According to the Prophet’s calculations, that person went toward Nuanyang State a few days ago, causing concern at the command center of the Western Kingdom, fearing he would make off with Nuanyang State’s final victory ahead of them.

But truthfully, Hopkins secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Although theoretically, the people he brought this time are sufficient to handle any target in the Secret Realm battlefield, for some reason, he just doesn’t want to face that Foggy Evil Ghost leading a group of Undead to break through.

The team arrived under the royal flag, he personally met the King of Suiye of the Wind Slave Royal Court.

"Oh, have you finally figured it out?"

This king of the highlands was bare-chested, displaying a body covered with sparse light-colored fur, on the massive head hanging around his neck, two blood-red eyes gleamed fiercely, and two tusks jutted from his mouth making him look like a humanoid beast.

He sat on a chariot under the canopy, with his body cushioned by green velvet, and looked down on the visitors from above.

Hopkins smiled amiably: "We are impressed by the heroic spirit of your army."

The King of Suiye laughed heartily: "Alright, I suppose you get it now, so, how do you plan to help me?"

The Demon Race might have suffered from unfavorable war conditions on the front line, or even Cheng Mingyue might have blocked the first wave of charge, or even with huge numeric advantages, the Wind Slave Royal Court couldn’t breach the line.

Hopkins said: "Please look at these people behind me, all of them are about as strong as I am, we can..."

The King of Suiye interrupted him with a wave: "Come over here."

He invited Hopkins to climb onto his chariot, making the nearby Demon Personal Guard somewhat uneasy.

"You want to use me."

He leaned close to Hopkins’ ear, two tusks almost brushing his shoulders, "You want me to go to my death, then seize benefits from the opportunity."

His voice was very low, low enough that only he and Hopkins could hear, even the nearby Personal Guards couldn’t hear it.

A twinge of unease rose in Hopkins’ heart; he didn’t fear this Demon King whatsoever, nor even if the entire Royal Court opposed the Western Kingdom would he see any chance of victory for them.

But now they need this group of Demons, and can’t afford internal conflict at this point.

However, before he could explain, the Demon King, whom seemed not so brutish after all, spoke again.

"I can allow your schemes, those worthless ones as much as there are, since they are merely stepping stones for the hegemony. But one point, though they are worthless, they’re still my subordinates."

The King of Suiye tapped his shoulder, appearing to encourage him from the perspective of the Personal Guard beside him, "If they die, then someone else must die with them; you must kill those defending ahead... the Human Race, you must achieve this."

Hopkins finally breathed a sigh of relief, and nodded in agreement, at least their goals were aligned.

Until he jumped off the tall chariot and walked quite a distance away, he realized that he really was bluffed by the Demon King of lesser strength than himself.

He didn’t have time to give it more thought.

"This time we must succeed."

He called out to those going into battle with him, "Our configuration far exceeds the opposite side, surely we can’t fail against a little girl."

"Ha, you don’t need to be so pessimistic, the situation is clear, tell them to start the next wave of the offensive."

Hopkins led his people through the connected camp of the Demon military assembly, to the Demon general responsible for breaking formations.

Upon seeing these formidable foreigners, the other party was thrilled and immediately agreed to organize the next offensive.

As this offensive began, Dragon Country immediately noticed that the approaching forces were not only Demons but included quite formidable human Extraordinaries too, making the atmosphere instantly heavy.

Cheng Mingyue shouted at the front of the formation: "Don’t panic, we can hold."

However, at that time, a figure appeared that made even her eyelid twitch involuntarily.

"Really?"

Shadow Energy was already surging in both of Hopkins’ hands.
