Chapter 406 - 253: What Is the Kizi Church!
At night, the sky was filled with stars.
On the largest island in the Weston Sea Area, Magrela, the docks remained brightly lit, with the boats’ flags faintly visible in the night.
A silhouette pushed open the door and slowly walked into the room.
As soon as he entered, two men fixed their gaze on him, eyes filled with scrutiny and wariness.
"You’re here."
Sharo nodded towards Rogel, then introduced him to the two men beside her.
"This is Grossye, the helper I hired."
"These two are my companions, Webb and Tariq."
Webb was tall and sturdy, nearly two meters, like a tower, with some inexplicable rebellious tattoos showing on his arms beneath his clothes.
Tariq appeared more frail, but his demeanor was much more composed.
Rogel quickly learned each of their strengths.
Sharo and Tariq were both at the Apostle Tier, while Webb was slightly weaker, at the Extraordinary Tier.
Hearing Sharo’s words, Webb crossed his arms and snorted coldly: "You better not be all show and no substance, make sure you’re worth Sharo’s 240 Gold Coins."
Tariq remained silent, scrutinizing Rogel.
Upon hearing this, Rogel glanced at Sharo and said indifferently, "As long as you don’t hold me back."
"What did you say!"
In a sudden rage, Webb stepped forward, attempting to grab him by the collar.
Rogel, expressionless, grabbed his wrist with one hand and pressed down, forcing him to kneel on one knee.
Looking down at them from above, Rogel’s gaze was calm, as if he had no desire to speak.
Webb, devoid of his initial fury, looked at Rogel’s grip on his hand in shock and disbelief.
"Webb! What are you doing?"
Frowning, Sharo shouted and quickly stepped forward to intervene.
Rogel still said nothing, simply retreating his hand, standing calmly in place.
His eyes fell on the guy named Tariq.
It was obvious that Webb’s provocation was under his instruction.
The purpose wasn’t hard to guess – they wanted to test his strength.
But such a clichéd tactic made Rogel feel disdain.
Clearly, Sharo lacked the capability to fully control her small team.
Releasing his grip, Webb returned to his original position, still looking at Rogel, no longer with hatred or anger, but with shock mixed with a hint of awe.
Tariq, on the other hand, silently withdrew his gaze, choosing to retreat in their unspoken eye contact.
"Grossye, sorry..."
"No problem," Rogel, uninterested in their little schemes, said, "Just tell me the plan and the target, I’m busy."
Whatever conflicts existed in their small group were none of his concern; he only needed the Gold Coins.
Listening to Rogel, Sharo nodded, glanced at Tariq, and moved over to the table.
"Grossye, before I discuss the plan, I need to remind you of one thing."
"We are Defiers from Magrela Island, accepting this mission might bring a lot of trouble later."
Sharo’s expression was serious.
"Defiers?"
Rogel was slightly surprised, but maintained a cold expression, only frowning slightly.
"Defiers are those who have turned against the Church, believers who are hunted relentlessly by them."
Seeing his expression, Sharo sighed inwardly: "You can choose to back out now, we..."
"Sharo."
She was interrupted by Tariq, who had been silent: "You’re too weak."
He stared directly at Sharo, eyes filled with dissatisfaction.
But Sharo frowned, showing no sign of backing down: "Grossye needs to know this."
Tap.
Rogel didn’t speak, just lightly tapped the table with his knuckle.
"Plan, mission target."
Rogel provided two words, simultaneously expressing his stance.
Tariq glanced at him and then withdrew his gaze, unknown thoughts lingering in his mind.
Webb, however, couldn’t help but smile: "Grossye, brother, straightforward!"
Hearing Rogel’s words, Sharo couldn’t help but feel touched.
Without further hesitation, she proceeded to the main issue.
"Our target for this operation is a prisoner on the Kizi Church’s prison ship, the Candle, who is also the leader of the Defiers of Magrela... Hovorov."
"The Candle will set sail early tomorrow morning, heavily guarded, and any action at the docks would attract the Kizi Church believers on the island."
"So it’s best to make our move after the Candle sets sail; our reinforcements will arrive at sea, away from the island."
"We need to infiltrate the Candle disguised, then coordinate with reinforcements to take control of the entire ship."
With that, Sharo picked up some clothes and small boxes from behind her and placed them on the table.
"These are Kizi Church believers’ robes and some disguise makeup. We need to disguise ourselves."
Sharo explained.
"Alright."
Rogel nodded, promptly picking up one of the clothes.
But seeing this, Sharo blushed slightly and hastily handed him another piece, swapping out the one in his hand.
"Wear this one."
Sharo’s tone was ordinary, but a hint of red flashed across her face.
"..."
Rogel then noticed it was a Kizi Church female believer’s robe, which obviously had less fabric.
"We don’t have much time, change quickly."
"I’ll lead you onto the ship in a bit."
After the brief interlude, everyone quickly got into action.
Before long, everyone had changed into their disguises.
Rogel looked down at his attire, frowning slightly.
The Kizi Church’s clothes were really outrageous.
