The lower halves of the walls were built from fired bricks or compacted earth.
The upper halves still used straight timber frames filled in neatly.
The roofs were covered with thick pine planks, then layered with moss and clay.
Finally, a covering of dry straw or newly fired tiles was laid over them.
Residential houses were no longer rows of uniform, single-story wooden huts.
Along the planned streets, numerous two- and three-story stone-and-wood buildings began to rise!
Though still simple, the space utilization had greatly improved, allowing far more residents to live comfortably.
The Handicraft Zone was the first to bustle with life.
Inside the blacksmiths’ forges, fires burned day and night, and the tall chimneys constantly spewed thick smoke.
The ringing of hammer on anvil echoed without pause.
Apprentices strained at the bellows, while shirtless master smiths swung their hammers, forging urgently needed tools in short supply.
Nearby, the carpentry workshops were just as busy.
Huge logs were sawed into boards and beams, piling up like mountains.
Craftsmen fashioned doors, windows, furniture, wagon wheels, and the trusses needed for building houses.
The scent of sawdust, mixed with pine resin, filled the air.
Next came the construction of public facilities.
New, deeper wells were dug at the center of the residential area.
Spacious and tall public granaries rose beside the black soil fields their structures stronger, moisture-proof, and rat-resistant.
But what astonished everyone most—was the waterwheel powered by the stream!
The massive wooden wheel turned slowly under the force of the rushing current.
Through a system of gears and linkages, it drove the millstones below, rumbling as they ground wheat grains.
They were even experimenting with using it to power a simple forging hammer!
This greatly improved the efficiency of both grain processing and iron forging!
Finally, the town’s road system had been completely renewed.
The main thoroughfare was widened substantially, then paved with gravel and flat stones dredged from the river.
Though still a bit uneven, it was far better than the muddy dirt roads before.
As for the smaller paths connecting the various functional zones, they were cleared as well.
Across the little stream where Liz had once fought valiantly in blood—two sturdy wooden bridges had been successfully built, making transportation of materials and passage between both banks much easier.
The entire Holy Light Town—was like a vast, vibrant construction site.
Every inch of land was changing.
Every day brought something new.
Hope and determination were written on every face.
Beneath this thriving scene—

He felt the ever-changing progress everywhere, and it moved him greatly~~
In just two or three short months—this place was no longer a desolate wasteland.
Nor did he find himself bored, staring at sunsets in silence anymore.
Now, every day brought new gossip to eavesdrop on, one bit of entertainment after another.
He was utterly delighted~~
More importantly, the thousand new residents offered their heartfelt, devout prayers!
One must know—they were all faithful believers of Lynn!
After arriving at the church proper, they prayed punctually every day without fail,continuously providing him with an endless stream of Holy Radiance!
