Chapter 118: Blood magic
"You have exceeded all of my expectations, blood angel."
In the void of Famine’s place, two couches were made in front of them, with Ray and the devil sitting in front of one another.
Famine had taken the form of Aria from the goddess squad while drinking something that looked like tea while Ray sat there staring into her empty eyes.
The first thing that Ray noticed about his new changes was his looks; half of his hair had turned white, mixing with his usual black hair, giving him a new look that he liked. The other thing was one of his eyes had turned golden, while the other eye kept its ocean blue color.
"Our deal is still on?" Ray asked with a curious tone. Now that he was strong enough, he didn’t need help from another source to help him on earthly matters, but a feeling told him that sooner or later he would face the parasite once more.
"Yes. Kill those three for me and I shall lend you more power." She took a sip of the tea-colored liquor. "The problem is time; right now on earth, after the events of Persis’s revival, two years have passed, and those three are two stages behind from completing their task."
With full confidence Ray said, "They won’t be a problem; the thing is, right now, your powers are useless for me."
The devil giggled; her mimicry had gotten better during the short time that Ray had not met her. "I knew you would say that; that’s why I would like to deepen our bonds, the way you bonded with fear and hunger."
"My bond with it still exists?" He had not sensed its powers inside of him at all with his new body.
"Yes, right now your own powers are greater than the power it gave you; that’s why you can use it in its true form, and my blood will do the same." A drop of purple blood came into being between them. "Take it."
Without hesitation, Ray guided the blood drop into his chest. A new wave of power entered his body, but nothing could hurt him anymore.
"What about bonding in another way?" His eyes observed the curves on her body; she could transform into any woman that she wanted, and her true form was even better.
Famine opened his legs, giving him a little view; with a seductive tone, she said, "I would like that too, but for now your body can’t take it. Reach level 10, and then we can finally do what both of us wish."
He took a deep breath and said with his usual tone, "I would like to return to earth as soon as possible." He paused as he remembered something: "After I’m finished checking my new powers."
"As you wish." The clone of Aria swung his hand, and a dark portal made from his hands opened behind her. "Call me if you need anything." With that, she vanished away, leaving Ray alone in the endless void.
As fast as he could, he went through his system to check his new abilities.

His surprise was visible on his face; he had expected to be stronger, but this was on another dimension compared to his previous powers.
First of all, his previous equipment had turned into his abilities; that meant he could use them anytime he wanted. The lord of inferno let him travel through a vast area, and he could make as much blood in it as he desired, and with a bottle of pain, he could constantly mix the blood he summoned with the blood inside of his body.
The new ability seemed useful too.
The crown of the slayer increased his attack power to the weak points of the enemy.
Those abilities alone could help him fight any general he wanted, but his equipment was even stronger: the blood of hell and heaven turned his body into a half-angel, half-devil for ten minutes; the cooldown was one week, but that was not a problem.
The essence of the world had no shape; its ability could be read for the moment too, so Ray just skipped past it for the moment. The last one fused his body with diamonds, with the same durability and features.
His domain was the same; he had to test it before he found its full strengths and weaknesses.
"My base stats are close to a level 9, and that small portion of pure magic is gonna do wonders for me!" Satisfied with his new powers, he smiled to himself.
As the last thing, he went for the legendary harem.

"What is a lust bonus?" That was the first time he had heard of the term, but an extra ability could even tempt immortals to join his harem. Adding Scarlet and Aria to his harem was going to be way easier than what he anticipated.
His plan at first was to lay low on earth for a while to find Jade and gather information before he revealed his return, but now with such powers he didn’t need any of that.
"Right now on earth, I should be in the top five in terms of strength!" And two from the other four could be persuaded to join his harem.
With a grin, he walked toward the dark portal; his enemies were destined to know true horror.
