Chapter 401: Two Weeks!
In front of a game store, a camera crew gathered around a female reporter, who was tidying up her hair.
"Live in 5..."
The cameraman showed five fingers.
"Four..."
He lowered one.
"Three... two... one..."
And then he pointed towards the female reporter, and she brightly smiled like a sunshine and moved the microphone close to her crimson-red lips.
"Good morning, everyone!
"We are currently in front of one of the thousands of game stores scattered all across the world, where the brand-new Virtual Reality Pod X has been released.
"Black Online Company promised that it is revolutionary—producing a greater refresh rate, improving the sense of realism, and much, much more.
"Our experts are believing that the Virtual Reality Pod X will crush all sale records!"
The game store was packed. Hundreds of excited people were lined up outside. The clerks were so busy that they had to call in extra staff to help manage the crowds.
Some of the customers moved their trucks to the back of the store, where they received their boxed Virtual Reality Pod X, and then they started heading straight home.
However.
Most just paid little extra for the store to bring the Virtual Reality Pod X straight to their address instead.
After all, they all didn’t have trucks to move the large Virtual Reality Pod X around.
...
Black Online Company, the rooftop.
Izan pushed open the doors and walked towards the helicopter, whose rotors were already spinning, with the pilot waiting for him.
Izan was accompanied by several other valuable members of his company, and they had all packed their stuff.
"Let’s go!"
Izan entered the helicopter with them, and then the helicopter took off into the sky, leaving the Black Online Company away.
"This is it, huh?"
One of them said.
They were finally leaving the "mortal" lands behind that they had been living at their entire lives—it was a strange feeling.
"Godhood is awaiting us."
Izan said.
He looked out of the window towards the city and thought that everything was going to change in the following months.
The new age of humans had arrived.
...
The next day.
Fang Village.
Beep... beep... beep...
A truck was slowly backing to the back door of the Fang Family, and Sebastian was waving for the driver to stop.
"Stop, stop!"
The truck came to a stop, and then the driver hopped off and then opened the back of the truck—there were dozens of boxes inside.
"What is this? Who ordered these?"
Sebastian asked with a frown.
Those boxes looked like they could fit Virtual Reality Pods inside, and then, he saw on one of the sides of the boxes that these were indeed the new model.
"The one who purchased these asked me to deliver a message."
The truck driver said, and gave Sebastian a slip of paper, and he quickly opened it and looked at it.
’Tell everyone to start using these Virtual Reality Pods. Even the bodyguards of the mansion and servants. If they don’t reach at least level 3 in Black Online, they are fired.
’I bought these with Fang Family’s funds, so if there is money missing from the bank account, you know why.
’From Fang Raon.’
Sebastian looked at the boxes and frowned, wondering why the new master of their house wanted everyone to play Black Online.
However.
He didn’t want to go against his master’s wishes.
"There are a lot of boxes, so... maybe you can call for some help?"
The truck driver asked with a wry smile.
Sebastian nodded and took out a phone and called for every available hand he could find to carry these things.
...
Megaworld Apartments, 39th Floor, the Apartment.
Sip...
Fang Raon took a sip of the coffee while browsing through the newspaper, and it was all about the Virtual Reality Pod X.
He had been keeping an eye on forums and such, if there was anybody that had reported anything unusual with the machines.
So far, nothing.
’It’ll take a while. It even took Della and Chaewon one month to realize that something was different about them.
’However, if there are disabled people, they should find out pretty damn quickly, but of course, disabled people never use the Virtual Reality Pods in the first place.
’I’ll give it two weeks before the news breaks out worldwide, and after that... I don’t even know what will happen with the world.’
Fang Raon thought.
He finished his coffee, put it in the washing machine, and then headed back to the bedroom and quickly tidied up the bed.
Chaewon had left already—to actually resign from her job.
It was Fang Raon’s wish so that she could spend more time in Black Online, getting stronger—and she could also earn more money via Black Online.
So he thought it was better, even though she liked her job, but she also loved playing Black Online.
Della was already at Black Online, dealing with some guild stuff.
’The notebook...’
Fang Raon took out his notebook from the drawer and opened the third page—where he had scribbled about some stuff.
About Anchor, Forge, and Void!
’I need to learn these. The humans of the ’mortal’ lands don’t know about these three powers, so if I learn them, it will be hugely advantageous.
’The problem is—I don’t know how. There is nobody to teach me these things, so I need to learn them by myself.
’I know how they work, at least.
’Anchor fixes an item in place. Like a boat that is anchored in the harbor. I don’t quite know where to start with that.
’Void just makes things disappear. Even speech. I could even make this notebook disappear with just a word.
’I think Forge is easiest to learn—I think it is the power of imagination—as it can create whatever I want with just my thought.’
Fang Raon thought.
While training these three, he was still planning to reach floor 50 as soon as possible and also take the jump to level 6.
It was about time.
Fang Raon closed the window, looked with a serious gaze forward, and made a vow to himself that he would accomplish his goals no matter the cost.
’Two weeks... I will do this in just two weeks.’
