The champagne glasses clinked as the party was already in full swing, the violin music blaring and laughter filling the room.

In the Great Hall of the Fang Mansion, there were close to a hundred guests, just mingling and talking with each other.

Men were dressed appropriately in nice suits. The women were wearing beautiful dresses and sparkling jewelry. The children wore adorable outfits that matched their parents’ elegance.

"...What a party. Aizen really didn’t hold back this time around."

"...This party invitation came at the very last minute, but I couldn’t possibly refuse Lord Aizen’s invitation."

"...This is a party for one of his sons, right?"

"...Raizen or Raikou?"

"...The third one... I think his name was... Roku... Raku... Something like that."

Guests talked.

In that moment, Aizen entered the hall, and the guests immediately greeted him, and he responded with polite smiles and handshakes.

All the guests were big deals in the business world, each one holding an impressive reputation in their respective industries.

They were family partners with the Fang Family, who hold the control of the Smog Region’s electronic, advertisement, and car technology.

They were the main manufacturers of the hover mobiles. And they also have a hand in phone and computer production.

They’ve been trying to get into the Virtual Reality, as that’s where the real money was at, but it had been a challenging market to break into.

After all, Black Online Company decided who they wanted to work with, and unfortunately, Fang Family wasn’t one of them.

However.

They worked with them in advertising, as the Fang Family owned many of the biggest advertising companies over in the Smog Region.

"..."

Aizen looked around the hall until he found who he was looking for, and with a smile on his face, he approached them.

"Lord Nero and his beautiful family, welcome to my humble abode, and I hope the drinks and food are to your satisfaction."

He said with a smile.

Nero, the blind man, was sitting alongside his family members—close to twenty of them—there were his children, grandchildren, siblings, and cousins.

"It is a really beautiful place."

Nero said.

If anybody else had heard that, they thought it was a joke because Nero was obviously blind, and he couldn’t possibly see the so-called "beautiful place."

But.

Aizen knew that even without his eyes, he was still able to "see," so he took the compliment with a smile on his face.

"This is my son, Ronin. He’ll be leading this family after I kick the bucket."

Nero touched the shoulder of the man sitting next to him—a black-haired man with confident posture and a small beard.

He looked like he knew what he was doing. Very serious demeanor. He was also already 45 years old.

"Pleasure to meet you."

Aizen bowed with one hand to his chest, which was the gesture of the Fang Family, signifying respect.

"Lord Aizen, I’ve heard great things about you."

Ronin said with a very deep voice.

Everyone that was involved even slightly in the business world of the Smog Region would know Fang Aizen.

One of the most influential and powerful figures in the region.

"It’s very flattering, especially coming from someone of your status, Ronin Rain, the greatest movie director of the Rain Region."

Aizen said with a smile.

"Just a small side business. I’ve no interest in continuing it. The Rain family’s business will always be my top priority."

Ronin dismissed the compliment.

Then, Nero looked over at the beautiful woman, who was sitting next to Ronin, who had been keeping her head low.

It looked like she was trying to keep her presence minimal so she wouldn’t be noticed.

She had interesting dark blue hair, and she was wearing the same-colored dress because it fit her like a glove.

Even though she was trying to hide herself, it was impossible to miss a beautiful woman such as herself with her strikingly beautiful features.

"And this one is my granddaughter and Ronin’s daughter, Juniper. She acted for fun in one of Ronin’s movies, and she has already been dubbed as the rising star of the acting world."

Nero said with a chuckle, and he rubbed his wrinkly chin.

"The woman I’ve heard so much about. It is a pleasure."

Aizen grabbed her hand and gave a kiss to the back of it, and Juniper just smiled politely, but it seemed slightly strained.

She did not want to be here.

She knew why she was here, and she did not like it, but she couldn’t go against her family’s wishes.

"Where is the star of the party? Your son, Raon?"

Nero asked curiously.

When Juniper heard the name, she flinched, as he was the person that she was here to meet—forced to meet.

"He’ll be coming here shortly."

Aizen said with a smile.

At that moment, there was some commotion at the entrance of the Great Hall, as Raizen and Raikou entered the party.

They were swarmed with guests, as everyone wanted to talk to them, and they just awkwardly smiled and nodded, trying to make their way through the crowd.

The guests believed that one of them would become the head of the family, so it was better to get in their good graces.

’...Fools.’

Aizen thought with a scoff.

It should be easy to guess why he was making this party into such a big spectacle, and some of the bigger families present in the party had also realized it.

It was obvious that this party was sort of an announcement about who would become the next head of the family.

And since the party’s star was Fang Raon, the answer should be pretty obvious.

And now, Anna also joined the party, wearing a blood-red dress and blood-red lipstick, as if she were drenched in blood.

It was very vibrant, and all eyes were on her as she made her entrance—she looked quite crazy, actually.

And because of her... interesting reputation, nobody dared to approach her and instead avoided her like a plague.

’Can’t she be normal for once?’

Aizen’s eyebrow twitched in anger.

He always had to be ashamed of his children because none of them seemed to be normal, but at least he was now relieved that he had Raon.

He was the most normal child of them all!
