Global Survival: I Have Endless Skeletons

Chapter 535: Power of the Crimson Womb

Far beneath the ancient tower, beneath the crimson blood river and thousands of meters below the surface of the Bleeding Desert.

Deep within the darkness where no ordinary living creature could ever survive, a massive cocoon floated silently within the depths of the world.

Its enormous surface glowing with a strange whitish-silver radiance that blended unnaturally with dark crimson light, creating an otherworldly appearance that was both beautiful and terrifying at the same time.

The cocoon was enormous.

Its exact size could not be determined within the endless darkness, because most of its body disappeared beyond the surrounding underground abyss, while countless ancient patterns slowly crawled across its surface like living veins.

The whitish light surrounding it carried an indescribable purity. Yet beneath that purity was something completely different.

Something evil.

Something ancient.

Something that seemed to have existed before the current world had even taken shape.

The two opposing auras did not repel one another but instead, they had somehow fused together.

Purity and evil.

Creation and destruction.

Life and death.

They existed together within the cocoon as though they had always belonged to the same existence.

Thump.

The cocoon pulsed.

The sound was barely audible, yet the entire underground world trembled in response as if a gigantic heart had suddenly begun beating beneath the earth.

Thump.

Another pulse followed.

This time, the surrounding darkness violently distorted.

Countless cracks appeared across the underground stone formations as the ancient pressure spreading from the cocoon pushed against everything surrounding it.

Then the cocoon pulsed again.

Thump!

A powerful wave of energy erupted from its surface.

Suddenly, countless long tendrils shot outward from the cocoon.

They resembled enormous roots.

Some were pale and almost white, while others were covered in dark crimson patterns that appeared to contain flowing blood.

They twisted through the underground darkness, moving with disturbing intelligence as they spread in every direction, searching for something.

The roots continued extending.

Until they disappeared into the darkness of the underground world. And then the entire Bleeding Desert trembled.

BOOM!

The ground shook violently.

Across the vast desert, sand dunes collapsed beneath their own weight while enormous clouds of crimson sand rose into the sky.

Buildings trembled.

Ancient ruins shook.

The walls of towns cracked.

Even the strongest structures within the scorpion city groaned beneath the sudden pressure.

People rushed outside in confusion.

Humans.

Beastmen.

Every species living within the Bleeding Desert felt it.

"What is happening?!"

"An earthquake?"

"No, this isn’t an earthquake!"

Fear rapidly spread through villages and towns as people stared at the trembling ground with bewildered expressions.

Nobody understood what had happened.

Nobody knew what had awakened.

But everyone could feel the same terrifying presence.

It was ancient.

It was enormous.

And it was spreading.

Even the powerful inhabitants of the world could not remain calm as the entire Bleeding Desert trembled beneath their feet.

Far away, deep within the massive hole behind Scorpion City, the ancient Scorpion suddenly opened her enormous eyes.

Her enormous body remained motionless for several seconds. Then her gaze slowly turned toward the distant direction of the blood river.

For the first time in countless years, a trace of heaviness appeared within her ancient eyes.

"Sigh..."

The ancient Scorpion released a long breath.

"So, they succeeded."

Her voice was low and filled with exhaustion, as though she had been expecting this moment for a very long time while desperately hoping it would never arrive.

She slowly closed her eyes again.

But the heaviness within her expression did not disappear.

Meanwhile, back at the ancient tower, the battlefield had changed completely. The corpses of the Slave Trade Guild members remained scattered across the blood-covered stairs.

Limbs severed.

Bones shattered.

Their blood had soaked the ancient stairs creating a small stream.

Suddenly, strange tendrils suddenly burst from beneath the blood river.

They moved like enormous roots searching for nourishment before rapidly extending toward the dead bodies scattered across the stairs.

One tendril pierced directly into the chest of a fallen Slave Trade Guild member. Another entered the corpse of a member whose head had been separated from his body.

More tendrils followed.

They entered the bodies one after another. And then something impossible happened.

The scattered blood surrounding the corpses suddenly began moving.

The crimson liquid slowly rose from the ground before shooting backward toward the dead bodies, flowing into their wounds as though time itself had begun reversing.

Blood that had splattered across the stone returned to its original owner.

Severed arms moved.

Broken bones twisted back into their original positions.

Fingers that had been crushed reformed.

A severed leg suddenly flew through the air and connected perfectly with the body from which it had been separated.

Crack. Crack. Crack.

The sounds of bones reconnecting echoed throughout the ancient tower.

Muscles regenerated.

Skin spread across exposed flesh.

Organs returned to their original positions.

Even the shattered skulls of those who had been killed by the undead Storm Tyrant slowly reconstructed themselves.

The entire process was unnatural.

It was not healing.

It was something far more terrifying.

It was resurrection.

Thoren stood motionless with his deep blue eyes narrowed as he watched the impossible phenomenon unfolding before him.

One corpse suddenly twitched.

Then another.

Slowly, the fallen Slave Trade Guild members began rising from the ground.

Their bodies were completely restored.

There were no wounds.

No missing limbs.

No broken bones.

Even their clothing had somehow returned to its previous state.

One of the resurrected members slowly lifted his head and opened his eyes. For a moment, his expression was completely empty.

Then a smile appeared.

It was not a normal smile.

It was wide.

Too wide.

His lips stretched unnaturally across his face as he stared directly at Thoren.

"Hahaha..." A strange laugh escaped his throat.

Just then, another resurrected member opened his eyes.

Then another.

Soon, dozens of them were standing across the blood-covered battlefield.

Every single one turned toward Thoren.

Every single one smiled.

And every single pair of eyes contained the same terrifying fanaticism that could make a skin crawl.

At once, the atmosphere became suffocating and heavy

As for Thoren, he remained completely still.

His gaze moved slowly across the resurrected Slave Trade Guild members before finally settling on the black flame burning deep in their eyes.
