Chapter 434 - 340: Arrival at the Immortal Realm, Moon Worship Manor, Black Tiger Hall

It looked like the man had just finished eating some kind of demon beast meat, sitting there with his eyes closed, picking his teeth.

But the next instant, he sensed the transmission channel activating, sparks of array light flickering, and his eyes snapped open.

"Third brother, looks like we got something! Take some men and check out the Guiding Platform. If it’s a man, kill him for me; if it’s a woman, bring her back. Haven’t had any fresh meat in ages—I’ve almost forgotten what the women from the Abandoned Land taste like!"

The burly man laughed heartily at the thought, as though people coming from the Immortal Relic Land were nothing but ants to them, easily crushed at will.

Actually, that’s pretty much how it was.

Most cultivators arriving from the Immortal Relic Land were just at the Late Stage of Nascent Soul, maybe Early Divinity Transformation at best, nowhere near their match. Any men got caught and slaughtered, women were saved for pleasure; when they got bored of them, those women wouldn’t escape death either.

This time was no different in the burly man’s eyes, so he let his third brother handle it.

"Sure thing, big bro! I’ll get it done. But don’t forget to save some for us after you’ve had your fun, alright? The little brothers wanna try some too! Hahaha—"

Down below, a hideous, one-eyed man cackled as he spoke.

"Of course! If big bro gets the meat, you guys have to at least have some soup to drink! Last time that chick was a bit too wild, so I got carried away. This time, I’ll take it easy. Go on, but don’t let those guys from Moon Worship Manor beat us to it!"

The burly man urged him on.

"You got it! I’m heading out now! Sixth brother, you’re coming with!"

The hideous man glanced at a fat man next to him who was still snoring away, and spoke out.

But as he finished, the fat man showed no sign of waking up.

That pissed the ugly guy off; he just kicked him flying straight out.

The fat man snapped awake mid-air, flipping and landing steadily on his feet.

"Who—who tried to ambush the great me?!"

The fat man struck a defensive pose, warily scanning the surroundings.

"It was me, your third brother! All you do is sleep, sleep, sleep. When the hell are you gonna break through to Late Stage Divinity Transformation?"

The ugly man hoisted the giant axe next to him and strode toward the main gate. "Why you standing around? Come out and get to work!"

"Alright, alright—coming!"

Hearing there was work to do, the fat man instantly grinned stupidly.

Going out surely meant there’d be fun.

...

Guiding Platform.

After scanning the area and finding no danger, Lin Chang’sheng and the others prepared to leave.

The commotion here might attract unwanted attention.

The top priority now was to find a sect for the disciples to join; Lin Chang’sheng couldn’t keep dragging them everywhere.

If a fight broke out, Lin Chang’sheng might barely protect himself, forget about the whole group—that would spell disaster for them.

"Someone’s coming?"

They had just walked a short distance when Lin Chang’sheng sensed several powerful auras rushing straight at them.

"Move, quickly!"

Lin Chang’sheng urged the group; not knowing if the newcomers were friend or foe, if hostile, things could get real ugly.

It was survival of the fittest here—being on guard never hurt.

But even as Lin Chang’sheng and company tried to disappear, the other side seemed to be tracking them by scent, relentless in their pursuit.

Within moments, they caught up.

"Greetings! I am Fifth Elder of Moon Worship Manor, here to escort you all to the sect!"

The purple-robed Fifth Elder called out, as if assuming their flight meant they had bad intentions.

As he spoke, the Purple Robe Daoist and four disciples stood not far ahead of Lin Chang’sheng and the group.

Hearing they were being invited to a sect, everyone relaxed a bit.

"Moon Worship Manor?"

Lin Chang’sheng stepped up to face the purple-robed elder.

"That’s right. Each Guiding Platform is watched over by a nearby sect, to welcome talents arriving from the Immortal Realm. If you’re willing, you’re welcome to stay for a bit at Moon Worship Manor. Should you want to join our sect, we’d be honored; if not, we won’t force you!"

The Purple Robe Daoist explained slowly.

His gaze also kept sweeping across the group.

In the past, travelers from the Immortal Realm were mostly Late Stage of Nascent Soul, or at best Early Divinity Transformation.

But this time, things were different!

There was even a Middle Stage Divinity Transformation among them—potential like that could go far someday!

Before arriving at the Immortal Realm, Lin Chang’sheng had deliberately suppressed his realm, keeping his cultivation at Middle Stage Divinity Transformation.

This lulled enemies into lowering their guard so he could deliver a killing blow at a key moment.

"Is that for real?"

Lin Chang’sheng asked Sword Elder for confirmation; he replied that was truly how it was, so Chang’sheng believed it.

Since the other party was being cordial, Lin Chang’sheng saw no reason to refuse. Besides, dragging the group everywhere really wasn’t practical.

If they ran into the Celestial Nether Sword Sect, odds were none of them would make it out alive.

"Then we’ll accept your kind offer. Sorry for the trouble, Elder!"

Lin Chang’sheng replied.

Hearing that, the Purple Robe Daoist was overjoyed.

If Lin Chang’sheng joined the sect, and they invested in him, his future prospects would be limitless.

"Hold up—"

Just as Lin Chang’sheng was about to take everyone to Moon Worship Manor, a furious shout echoed from the distant horizon.

The voices arrived before the figures, proof of high cultivation.

In a mere three breaths, two figures tore through the sky from afar.

And the next second, they landed not far from Lin Chang’sheng and the group.

Of the two, one looked hideous and the other hugely fat.

The ugly one’s face was twisted, with only one eye and a mouthful of nasty yellow teeth potent enough to choke a man.

The fat one stood nearly two meters tall and weighed at least three hundred pounds, like a giant meatball.

"You folks from Moon Worship Manor sure got guts! Snatching people from Black Tiger Hall?"

Wham——

The ugly man tossed his giant axe to the ground, shaking everything with a deafening boom.

The ground split open, a deep pit forming—this axe was ridiculously heavy.

The ugly dude started by throwing down a show of force. Clearly, Black Tiger Hall and Moon Worship Manor had longstanding beef and didn’t show the slightest respect for each other.

After barking out his challenge, the ugly guy started ogling Yu Lingfei, Gao Ziyue, Yan Zhen, and the other women, his gaze leering and vile.

"Zhu Lieshan, don’t go too far! There’s a proper order to things, and they’ve already agreed to join Moon Worship Manor. You’re just cutting in—how do you explain that?"

The Purple Robe Daoist was pissed—people from Black Tiger Hall were shameless.

If the two factions weren’t evenly matched, Moon Worship Manor would never tolerate a scum force like Black Tiger Hall hanging around.

"Enough nonsense! My big brother’s got his eye on these people—I’m taking them. If you don’t like it, how about you ask my Yue Mountain Axe first?"

Zhu Lieshan completely ignored the Purple Robe Daoist.

Both of their cultivations were at Late Stage of Divinity Transformation. Zhu Lieshan wouldn’t lose out in a clash.

Besides, he’d brought sixth brother—the latter was only Middle Stage Divinity Transformation, but that was still plenty to handle the Purple Robe Daoist’s four disciples.

"You guys take them and go—I’ll hold them off!"

Killing intent flashed in the Purple Robe Daoist’s eyes; no way was he handing Lin Chang’sheng and crew over.

He knew exactly what sort of monsters Black Tiger Hall were—handing these people over was certain death.

Anyone who could reach the Immortal Realm was a prodigy from the Immortal Relic Lands—they’d be invaluable if nurtured.

"Think you can stop me? Die!"

Hearing the Daoist’s words, Zhu Lieshan didn’t hesitate—he swung his Yue Mountain Axe straight at Lin Chang’sheng and the Daoist.

As primordial power coursed into the axe, it grew to thirty feet tall, surging downwards with crushing might.

In Zhu Lieshan’s view, as long as the women weren’t harmed, everyone else could die.

So from the start, he went all out—no mercy, no restraint.

Lin Chang’sheng frowned, but didn’t move, wanting to see whether the Purple Robe Daoist would actually stand up to Black Tiger Hall for them.

"Go—now!"

The Daoist shoved Lin Chang’sheng aside, swinging his Floating Dust, unleashing streams of white silk that wrapped around Zhu Lieshan’s descending axe, then swept it aside, sending the giant axe crashing onto the distant ground.

BOOM BOOM—

The giant axe landed, pulverizing stone like slicing tofu, carving out a trench dozens of feet long.

"Everyone—this way, quick!"

The four disciples with the Daoist quickly called Lin Chang’sheng and the group to leave.

Lin Chang’sheng signaled for Yu Lingfei and the others to follow.

But they hadn’t gone far before a massive figure smashed down ahead of them like a boulder, shaking the ground on impact.

"Leaving? Did you get my permission?"

The fat man instantly blocked their path. The four disciples froze, afraid to act rashly.

After all, they only had Nascent Soul cultivation—how could they hope to compete against Divinity Transformation primordial power?
