Abyss Summoner

Chapter 772 - 757: Molten Giant Beast

"Master, are we sure about taking this path?" Xiong Da looked at the deep, narrow path in front of him and couldn’t help swallowing a mouthful of saliva, while Xiong Er nodded in agreement beside him.

The bear goblins were quite lucky; Rose’s wrath targeted only the gray dwarves and gnomes, sparing them from the death curse, allowing them to escape with their lives.

When Chen Feng discovered them again, they were trembling on the ground, still terrified by the intense atmosphere even though they hadn’t witnessed the battle firsthand.

For creatures of the Bronze Tier, surviving with their lives intact was already considered fortunate.

After the Dark Elves took over Dengshi City, Chen Feng left the city, with his next destination being the auction held by Elwin.

However, before that, he needed to pass through a dark, narrow path.

According to the map provided by Elwin, this was the quickest shortcut to the enemy’s camp. The reason the bear goblins hesitated was because the entrance to this path was filled with piles of bones, and these skeletons were incomplete, indicating that something powerful had devoured parts of their bodies post-mortem.

There was no cold aura of death here; instead, the place exuded heat. The closer to this path, the more palpable the warmth.

Chen Feng took a few cautious steps forward and was surprised to find the oxygen level around him decreasing by a fifth.

It was odd.

There seemed to be more than meets the eye within this path, and Chen Feng could be certain that venturing deeper would result in some passive burning.

Possessing the bloodline of the Blazing Demon, Chen Feng wouldn’t be affected, but Xiong Da and Xiong Er, being mere Bronze Tier entities, would face certain death if they ventured deeper.

"This is as far as you go; you can leave now."

"We... can leave?" Upon hearing Chen Feng speak, Xiong Da and Xiong Er exchanged glances, a hint of struggle flashing in their eyes.

Xiong Da was evidently wiser than Xiong Er. It understood that Chen Feng was not a simple figure, even more powerful than the Clan Leader. Given the chance, it was willing to become Chen Feng’s servant, even the humblest slave.

"Master... I... I can lead the way..." Xiong Da spoke cautiously, assuming that it was its previous hesitation that had displeased Chen Feng and thus tried to make amends.

Chen Feng turned to look at Xiong Da, his deep eyes revealing no emotion.

A clever goblin.

Did it even know how to curry favor?

However, such small tricks were quickly seen through by Chen Feng. If Xiong Da were of the Golden Tier, perhaps he might have considered it, but it was merely a Bronze Tier creature. In the face of opportunity, anyone would act like a piranha smelling blood, frantically seeking to claim any spoils.

Yet, in the end, how many can truly seize the opportunity?

The bear goblins were too weak; they had decent minds but were disadvantaged by a lack of strength. Although Chen Feng successfully nurtured an Inferior Demon into a divine scion, it didn’t imply he enjoyed playing such development games.

With a wry smile, Chen Feng spoke, "You may go; I don’t like repeating myself thrice. Leave here with the utmost speed before I decide to kill you."

His cold voice devoid of emotion, Xiong Er stood in stunned disbelief, while fear flashed in Xiong Da’s eyes as they recalled their identities. Lowering its head, it pulled Xiong Er along, speaking humbly, "May the goddess bless you... we will leave now..."

With that, Xiong Da and Xiong Er hurriedly turned and initially fast-walked, eventually breaking into a jog, disappearing from Chen Feng’s sight within less than a minute.

Chen Feng paid no attention to the bear goblins’ departure; sometimes, reality dictated that, even with the vision to spot opportunities, one’s weakness could render it all a mere dream.

A dark, narrow path exuding intense heat.

Chen Feng smiled slightly and stepped inside. The path was like a gorge, with towering boulders lining the sides, and only a narrow passage to walk through.

The surrounding temperature kept rising, yet it hadn’t reached a dangerous level for Chen Feng. Nonetheless, out of caution, the Demon Skin appeared on his body, with its intricate patterns resembling enchanting tattoos.

The strange thing was, there were no life forms here.

The Dark Realm was not a dead city; quite the opposite, due to the free trade and order here, many life forms were drawn to settle. Along the way, Chen Feng had encountered many demons and dark beings, and even in the most desolate ruins, some worms crawled.

But here it was an exception; no ordinary life, not even a worm, was seen.

It’s not as if the intense heat precludes life; demons and dark beings possess incredible survival skills, adapting to harsh environments over time. The Dark Realm had existed for so long that creatures undoubtedly adapted to its conditions.

Perhaps the piles of bones like small mountains at the entrance were once residents here, who fell victim to some attack for special reasons.

As Chen Feng continued forward, pondering, a burst of fire suddenly appeared before him, and the land began to quake. The blaze surprisingly turned into spewing lava, revealing a hidden volcano beneath the path?

The ground trembled violently, the scorching wind like a tornado rapidly taking form, assuming the shape of a colossal beast. Its lower body submerged in lava, its upper half muscular and massive, its entire body composed of molten magma, exuding intense heat.

This was indubitably a true behemoth!

Chen Feng’s eyes widened in surprise, "Abyssal Giant Beast!"

This was an ancient being!

An Abyssal Giant Beast doesn’t denote a single creature; rather, it’s synonymous with formidable power.

They dwell in the Abyss Sea, magma, and even the clouds; these ancient beings possess elemental power in their blood and flesh, adept at melee and magic alike.

Like this Molten Giant Beast before him, its body melded with flesh and magma, this land seemingly its domain. Upon spotting Chen Feng, it erupted in an enraged roar, massive cracks splitting along the rock walls, causing stones to tumble down, and more terrifying, influenced by the intense heat, rocks falling beside it melted into searing lava!
