"Where do we go next?"
After resolving the matters on the island, Loren and the others boarded the ghost ship and once again sailed across the vast sea.
Hearing Anna's question, Melody was the first to speak:
"I want to take you to the Merfolk's territory, but since you're humans, and I don't have much real authority either.
"Right now, the vast majority of Merfolk absolutely despise humans. There's nothing I can do about that, and taking you there would likely end badly..."
"I know. That's why I never planned to go."
There was no need to visit Merfolk territory, but Loren still wanted other things:
"But I need water magic. I hope you can find me a magic book."
No one in the entire world had a more complete collection of water magic than the Merfolk. They had basically never experienced a generational gap in knowledge, nor had they suppressed the development of magic.
