Chapter 391: Threats
“…”
Loren silently gave Noah a thumbs-up. He genuinely admired what Noah had done.
“It took some effort to return to the God of Confusion’s territory. Using the Outer God names you told me, I caused some damage there—killed many Eyeless, tore down several churches—but I got caught by an Angel.”
“They tried many methods but couldn’t kill me, so they eventually chose to seal me in an alloy casing and sink me to the bottom of the sea.”
As he spoke, Noah kept pulling wheat stalks from his pores. The roots were tangled, and each pull brought out chunks of flesh.
Soon, Noah’s body was riddled with dense, bloody holes. The disgusting sight made Loren close his eyes.
“After escaping the alloy casing, I came to find you. I’m sorry—I failed to accomplish any of the tasks you assigned me…”
As he spoke, Noah suddenly began to cry. Tears mixed with blood and mud streamed down his face.
“Alright, stop crying. This outcome was within my expectations too. I’ve prepared other methods for you.”
