Chapter 299: A Good Friend
Luna walked all the way to her former classroom. Everyone she encountered along the way greeted her, and Luna responded to each one mechanically. Having been with Loren all this time, she actually didn't have a strong sense of her current status. Now, she understood.
A feeling of unreality followed. Luna found it difficult to connect her present self with her past self.
When Luna pushed open the door, all eyes instantly converged on her.
This reminded Luna of some unpleasant memories. The last time this happened was when she was late because Sylvia had her minions cut off a section of Luna's hair, and Luna had to trim her hair properly before returning to class.
Luna still vividly remembered the mocking looks in her classmates' eyes that time. However, the emotion in their eyes now had transformed into envy, jealousy, or even fear.
Especially Sylvia. She was, after all, the princess, and had returned to class after the storm had passed.
Upon seeing Luna, she immediately shrank under her desk, terrified of facing retribution.
Luna didn't pay her any mind either, directly taking a seat next to her friend.
"Jessica, long time no see..."
