Chapter 405: The Siege of Seoul
[Seoul.]Once the glowing, technological heart of Korean, Seoul was now a scarred fortress, a desperate bastion of humanity against the endless tide of the apocalypse. High barricades of reinforced concrete and enchanted steel surrounded the surviving districts, while the earth beyond the walls was permanently scorched black.
BOOOOM!!!
A catastrophic wave of explosion smashed right into the ground, the concussive blast sending the humanoid monsters backward to the ground. These creatures, twisted parodies of humanity with grey, scaled skin and hollow, hungry eyes, screeched as the artillery rained upon them.
"Keep firing!!!" A man yelled, throwing his hand into the air, his voice cutting through the deafening roar of war.
"Yes!! We already cleared the monsters in the city! If we don’t hold our ground, they will invade again!!"
The soldiers on the barricades responded, their faces pale but filled with desperate resolve. They knew the price of failure; the city behind them held their families.
A man leaped down the towering defense wall with a huge sledgehammer, landing heavily on the ground with the force of a meteor. This was the Commander.
"We kill every single one of them!!" He yelled, and shot forward, his eyes burning with the duty to protect his home.
"Help the commander!!"
Three more young fighters leaped down the wall, and charged towards the monsters.
Skills, explosion, and bullets flew into the air, smashing heavily on the monsters, wiping out all the Frontline in a blinding display of humanity’s fighting spirit.
