Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

Both Weiss and Elise left their room secretly, without letting anyone know. They would not be out for too long and so early in the morning, no one should come to call for them. So them secretly going out should be fine.

But still, at least two of the maids would stay in the room for the whole duration while Weiss and Elise were out. Even if anyone came to call for Weiss, the maids would be able to send them away by giving some kind of excuse.

Both Weiss and Elise hid their presence and quickly left the mansion. Both of them were also using Fleet Footed steps so their speed was extremely fast.

The first destination that Weiss had in mind was an abandoned warehouses located not too far away from the Skepa castle.

This warehouse belonged to a merchant who used to work for the previous lord marquis. But then, it was discovered that this merchant was selling sensitive information to the marquis’s enemies.

For this reason, he was executed publically and it was actually a very well known story in this area. After his death, some people had demanded that they had seen the ghost of this man haunting the warehouse.

There was no basis to a claim like this but still there were quite a few people who had believed it. And after this incident, the Skepa family stopped recruiting exclusive merchants. For that reason, the location of this warehouse became not very useful anymore.

That was why for several decades, no one had tried to claim this warehouse. But it looked like that was actually incorrect. This warehouse had secretly became a base for the Sparrow’s Nest orginisation with the permission of the marquis.

Among the spies who were marked last night, quite a few of them had returned here. But from what Weiss had observed, it looked like this orginisation was actually working with the spies that the Skepa family had.

This was a clear example of the good relationship between these two parties. After getting the captives from Weiss’s room, Eleanor had actually sent them here for interrogation. So there was no doubt that the Skepa family and the Sparrow’s Nest were working together.

So why was Weiss coming to investigate this place ? It was simple. One of the members of this Sparrow’s Nest had turned out to be a double agent who was also working for a different organisation.

After coming to this warehouse, he soon had left it and had went to another base that belonged to a different orginisation. So Weiss was here to find out if that person was betraying the Sparrow’s Nest or the other orginisation he was working for.

Weiss had stayed up all night and had thoroughly memorized how all her targets were moving. Keep an eye on so many targets at the same time was definitely not easy but Weiss with her extremely powerful processing ability had managed to do exactly that.

Soon both Weiss and Elise managed to sneak in very easily. Not only they were experts in hiding their presence, Weiss also had her mind numbing drugs with her. So it actually would have been surprising if they had any trouble sneaking inside.

Soon Weiss was in formt of a remote part of the warehouse. Her target had randomly stopped here for quite some time. So Weiss guessed that there was some sort of hidden place in this area.

With her powerful senses, Weiss was soon able to find the hidden spot. It was a small compartment that was camouflaged to be a part of the wall.

Inside it, Weiss found a several notebooks. She did not take any of them away as these notebooks were precious proofs of this man being a double agent.

So she started to use her super powerful brain again to read through all the notebooks as quickly as possible. It was something that only someone like Weiss was capable of doing.

While she was doing this, Elise was acting as her guard and was keeping an eye out for any one approaching this area. Currently Weiss was concentrating on reading so she was not able to fully use her poweful senses perfectly.

With her superhuman reading speed, Weiss was done going through all the notebooks in about 10 minutes. Then she kept them inside the hidden compartment just the way they were before. After that she signaled Elise that it was time to get out of here.

Weiss had learned everything that she needed to know. She had even found out some hidden information about the Sparrow’s Nest which was an extra bonus. So this operation of hers had started in a very good and positive note.

After the warehouse, Weiss and Elise went to visit the slum area of the city. As Weiss had been here once in search of the mage, she had an even easier time navigating this place.

The slums were the host of most of the dark orginisations of this city. Almost all of the small and medium sized ones had their main base in the slum area.

Most of them were related to various shaddy businesses like the forced prostituition, addictive drug trading, illegal gambling and such. And Weiss was here to destroy two of the small orginisations who were extremely evil even compared to the other dark orginisations.

Weiss had no need for extra funds anymore. The insane amount of money that she had gotten from the magic castle ruins was still going strong. But what she needed was more people. And these two evil orginisations were going to supply them to her.

These two had quite a few hidden slaves and just like before, Weiss was planning of rescue them and ask them to work for her if they were willing. If there were any decent person in the orginisation, Weiss was willing of spare them too.

With her current hyper sensing capabilities, she was even capable of sensing malice in the heart of a person. So it was possible for Weiss to see if a person was good or evil with a decently high accuracy. She had even tested this skill of hers out thoroughly and had gotten satisfactory results.

So with this intention in mind, Weiss and Elise stepped foot inside the slum area.
