Chapter 558: Exit the highway
The giant just stood in the seawater watching them, taking no other action.
Lin Ye released Landy and carefully observed the giant's body. He quickly discovered that it seemed to be a massive stone statue, though its construction material was somewhat different from ordinary stone statues.
But if this thing was really just a stone statue, how could it have suddenly appeared in that location?
Lin Ye couldn't determine the relationship between the giant stone statue and the island either, but he felt the highway on the other side of the gap was highly problematic and had some connection to this area.
"Aren't we going over?"
Landy looked at the highway across the gap. He had thought he would never get back, but now he saw a glimmer of hope. Unlike the previous highway, this one was likely the real exit.
"...I'm not sure. It's possible the other side is the exit, but I think it's more likely a trap. Do you want to go over? I can scout ahead first."
Lin Ye wasn't certain if they should go take a look either. If the other side really was the exit, it meant this abnormal area had many exits. As long as they entered the area at the edge of the bookshelf, they could leave this place.
"...I want to go in and take a look."
