Chapter 450: A true master of backstabbing
"Are you part of some organization?"
Lin Ye asked curiously.
"Correct, but I can't say much about the specifics. After all, we are a secret organization, and leaking information is a very dangerous thing. In many cases, even the dead cannot remain silent."
Raymond drained the liquid in his glass. He had actually been observing Lin Ye and Bessie Pro's condition the entire time, but no matter which aspect he examined, he couldn't figure out where Lin Ye's confidence came from.
"Aren't you going to make a move?"
Lin Ye put down the meal box. He didn't understand what Raymond was waiting for. If they stayed any longer, he would almost recover some ability to resist.
"I'm waiting for the front line to collapse. What are you waiting for?"
Raymond probed.
"I rarely wait for time to pass meaninglessly, but this time is different. I just wanted to wait for you to finish your last drink before making my move. Goodbye, my friend."
Lin Ye picked up the glass from the bar counter and downed it in one gulp. A slender right hand suddenly sprouted from Raymond's chest. If Lin Ye didn't have a trump card, he certainly wouldn't have let Wendy leave under these circumstances. The most important trump card had always been by his side.
Bessie appeared behind Raymond. She pulled out her right hand, crushed Raymond's spiritual energy core, and incidentally blew his head apart.
Before this entire incident began, she had been following Lin Ye. Under Lin Ye's influence, no one could notice her location.
No matter how strong Raymond was, he couldn't withstand Bessie's sneak attack, because this was her most skilled technique. Even Lin Ye had to admit that she was the true Backstab Master.

If Raymond had suddenly attacked Lin Ye, Bessie wasn't confident she could protect him, as she wasn't skilled in frontal combat.

Although he said this, Lin Ye actually had confidence in withstanding Raymond's sudden assault.

Raymond walked into the bar while clapping, a pleased smile on his face.
"...A duplicate?"
Lin Ye stared at this Raymond. He didn't think the Raymond who was just killed was fake, so there was only one possibility left.

"What terms?"

"You need a lid to seal the Bottomless Pit. What do you think of me?"
Raymond said very directly.
"Not great. If you want to use the system's power to escape the Abyss, you should have come to me earlier for this conversation, not come now to waste my time."
Lin Ye wouldn't choose to forgive an enemy after a battle, even if the enemy paid a sufficient price, because an enemy only has one ending: destruction.
"Heh, you might not fully understand the current situation. The anomalous phenomena at the bottom layer of the Bottomless Pit are dangerous items beyond your imagination. Without a lid, this Plane will be destroyed by anomalous phenomena. None of you will escape. Raymond revealed a mocking smile. He looked much more punchable than Raymond himself.
"How do you know I can't create a new lid? Nothing in the world is unique. With the remains of those three Abyssal creatures, I can quickly create something that can serve as a lid."
Actually, Lin Ye thought he could make something similar using biological samples, but he wouldn't go so far as to throw Bessie Pro into the Bottomless Pit.
"But you have no time left. You don't think I'm stupid enough to tell you in advance, do you?"
Raymond looked toward the direction of the Bottomless Pit. Due to the large number of anomalous phenomena disappearing from above, the 'floors' below were about to emerge.
"It's fine. I can go in and become the lid."
Bessie Pro said calmly.

Raymond looked at Bessie Pro, having a new idea.
