Chapter 277: Drawing Trading
Lin Ye took his pets for a shower, then changed into refreshing shorts, a tank top, and flip-flops.
"Why so flashy? I prefer something simpler."
Lin Ye asked curiously.
"Because this kind of flashy clothing suits you better, it makes you look more refreshing. Would you like me to help you change into another set?"
Xiao Bai replied.
"No need, I don't really care that much."
Lin Ye left the hotel with his three pets. Little Black and the little dog were leaving the Shelter for the first time, and they were so excited they rolled around on the ground.
In contrast, the Goat was much calmer, inviting Lin Ye to ride it downstairs.
Lin Ye firmly refused. It wasn't that he was afraid of crushing the Goat to death, but simply that he didn't want to ride around on a little goat everywhere.
When they reached the hotel lobby, a sports car was already parked at the hotel entrance. The Goat quickly ran over and sat in the Driver's Seat, seeming very interested in the sports car.
Lin Ye and Xiao Bai sat in the back seat, the little dog jumped into the passenger seat, and Little Black could only lie on the car roof.
The Goat skillfully started the sports car and drove Lin Ye straight to the meeting location.
Five minutes later, the Goat drifted the sports car to a stop below a tea house. Lin Ye got out and entered the tea house—the location and time had both been set by the other party.
This was Lin Ye's first time entering a place like a tea house whose purpose seemed unclear. He didn't understand why someone would build a separate place just for drinking tea. He preferred drinking ice-cold cola—this was probably one of the generation gaps between elders and young people.
The interior of the tea house was very quiet, with an elegant atmosphere floating in the air.
The service staff led Lin Ye deep into the tea house, where the Middleman was waiting for him in a not-very-spacious private room.
If it were only Lin Ye and Xiao Bai, this location would have been chosen quite well, but adding the Goat, little dog, and Little Black made this place very cramped.
Little Black could only stick its head into the private room, pitifully making meowing sounds.
"...Your companions are truly special. Do they need to be present for what we're about to discuss? If not, could I invite them to have some tea in another private room?"
The Middleman glanced warily at the Goat—he hadn't expected to encounter such an existence in a place like this.
"Let them stay here. It's not anything important anyway, we can finish in just a few words."
Lin Ye took a sip of the tea served to him by the staff. The tea had a refreshing fragrance, slightly bitter upon entering the mouth, then leaving a subtle sweet aftertaste.
The tea's flavor was very mellow, yet not overly strong.
Even someone like Lin Ye who didn't drink tea could tell this was a very high-end tea leaf.
But there was one problem—the tea didn't taste as good as ice-cold cola.
Lin Ye indeed preferred more stimulating drinks.
"One serving of egg fried rice, just eggs and rice, and one cup of ice-cold cola."
Xiao Bai, standing behind Lin Ye, had already placed his order.
"Meow meow meow... meow~"
"Meow meow meow~"
"Baa baa~"
"Plus three servings of grilled meat, all extra large portions."
Xiao Bai added.
"What will you eat? My treat, since I'm the one who asked to meet you."
Lin Ye looked at the Middleman and asked.
"I already ate before coming. Let's get down to business."
The Middleman definitely didn't want to eat extra large portions of grilled meat in a tea house.
Just thinking about a tea house filled with the smell of grilled meat made him uncomfortable all over.
"I need to acquire a batch of Blueprints for Constructing a Special Spiritual Energy Core before advancing to the fourth tier—specifically, 51 or more. Can you get them?"
Lin Ye didn't think he could gather enough blueprints just by opening boxes. As for the trading area, any Survivor with half a brain wouldn't trade such blueprints.
At most, he might be able to trade for a few—more than fifty was just too difficult.
"Very difficult. These blueprints are hot commodities everywhere. I can manage up to ten, but fifty is too many. After all, the effects of these blueprints can stack, the acquisition difficulty is very high, and the acquisition channels are quite limited. Unless you can offer very valuable trade items, no one will trade large quantities of blueprints."
Actually, the Middleman could acquire them, but the trading difficulty was too great. Unless there was sufficient profit, he wouldn't take action.
"I have a batch of Waste Stones, probably several dozen pieces, and two system-produced skill cards that can be used in combination. I also have a batch of decent low-tier spiritual energy items. If you can offer enough, I can also trade with relics. If that's still not enough, I also have mysterious items that can be used to communicate with the Lord of Emerald Capital, Gray Matter produced in the Gray World, mutation organs that can connect to great existences in the Abyss, Deep Sea Statues originating from the deep sea, and so on."
"Oh, right, I recently acquired several Rule Fragments. Do you have a method to separate Rule Fragments from within the body? If so, Rule Fragments can also be traded, as long as you can offer corresponding items. However, the original owners of these fragments were all beings close to divinity, so you'll need to be prepared for attacks from them after trading."
Lin Ye mentally sorted through his assets—he had many 'good items' that he couldn't use temporarily.
"...Please absolutely entrust this transaction to me. If you don't set an upper limit, give me five days and I can acquire at least sixty blueprints for you. As for the trade items, those Waste Stones will suffice. Waste Stones are very popular outside—one Waste Stone for one blueprint. Also, I'm very interested in those two skill cards. Could you tell me the names and effects of those two skills?"
The Middleman was also very interested in the other trade items, especially relics and Rule Fragments—these were the real hard currency. But blueprints simply weren't worthy of being traded for those things, and he didn't currently have suitable trade items for them.
As for those special items related to dangerous Planes, he didn't even want to hear about them.
"They're Blood Burning and Blood Manipulation. They're two very powerful combination skills."
Lin Ye carefully explained the effects of the two skills.
"Very good skills. There should be many people willing to trade for these two skill cards. Let's discuss the skill cards later—I also need to ask my clients."
The Middleman felt like he'd been hit on the head by a gold brick while walking down the street—his head felt dizzy. He never expected to encounter such a huge deal in a place like this.
If this transaction went through, he only needed to make a few trips to earn seven or eight Waste Stones.
"I also need to confirm with my friend whether this price is appropriate. I'm not a nitpicky person, but I hate being deceived."
It was generally difficult to deceive Lin Ye, but he had absolutely no understanding of the outside world. Without sufficient information, he could potentially be tricked.
"I don't deceive clients. For people like us, reputation is everything."
The Middleman said seriously.
"That's great. How will we conduct the transaction then?"
Lin Ye couldn't bring items into the Rest Area.
"As long as I have your permission, I can visit your Shelter through the system. We can conduct the transaction there."
The Middleman decided to deliver the goods directly.
