However, the citizens in the prison cells along both sides of the corridor showed no signs of decreasing, and as Lin Ye progressed deeper, their conditions grew increasingly bizarre.
At first, he could still see human characteristics on them, but gradually they transformed into combinations of flesh and blood with the insect tree.
These citizens were almost all in different states of transformation, as if the cultists were conducting some kind of experiment using living people.
The corridor was very long and completely straight, making Lin Ye feel he was approaching the city's edge.

However, what appeared ahead wasn't a large group of cultists, but an enormous worm so thick it occupied most of the corridor.
The worm's body was snow-white, with dark green patterns crawling beneath its tender skin. Both sides of its body grew human limbs, making the giant worm resemble an enormous white centipede.

The moment he saw the giant worm, Lin Ye didn't hesitate. He immediately threw the clothing-wrapped No. 3 Salted Fish and crushed a blue card.
Lin Ye vanished along with the shattered card. Before disappearing completely, he saw an enormous mouth swallow both No. 3 Salted Fish and his afterimage.

Lin Ye casually punched and exploded the law enforcement officer beside him who was trying to crush a card.
The man's reaction speed was too slow, and he hadn't made any preparations.
'Did he really think staying in the Precinct would keep him safe?'
