"Then in all these years, did you never travel there to uncover the cause?" Lin Hui asked.
"My true body made the journey, but to this day, no word has returned. Later, the Corruption eroded the neighboring realm. Anomalies emerged and seized the bodies of the Mist Emperor and Emperor Suo. A vicious cycle took hold from there. The Mist thickened, the Corruption multiplied, new life grew ever scarcer—and the anomalies appeared with ever greater frequency." As she spoke, her form began to turn translucent.
