A demigod level three-headed abyssal demon dog.

In the air above the abyssal blood pool, as Shawn approached, the creature perceived his presence, and this abyssal demon dog, like a giant dragon, raised its head and said, "Hello."

"Otherworld demigod."

This abyssal demon dog possessed constant True Knowledge Skill, allowing it to see through all invisibility and disguises. Its hearing and insight were astonishing; although it was an animal that had ascended to demigod, its strength was in no way inferior to that of other legendary powerhouses. Upon sensing Shawn held no hostility, it attempted a friendly smile, but it looked quite ferocious.

Shawn revealed his form and calmly said, "Hello, otherworldly visitor."

The abyssal demon dog sniffed the air and asked in puzzlement, "Do you also seek the power of the abyssal blood pool?"

"No."

"You have more than just the scent of a demon on you; you have that of devils and evil demons too."

"The natives here are truly strange!"

"Such a complex mix of power."

Hearing this, Shawn’s expression shifted slightly. He whispered, "Can I absorb the evil magic law here?"

The abyssal demon dog nodded and said, "You can."

"This is a gift left for you by the master, to complete the evil magic law of this world."

"But you cannot destroy the blood pool, nor can you pollute it."

"My duty is to guard the blood pool."

In just a single day, two out of the Three Paths of Purgatory advancement sequences had been completed; the reason evil demons had not acted was likely due to the lack of a powerful evil demon lord. The Bottomless Abyss and Bator Hell dominated, suppressing the evil demons to insignificance, and evil demons preferred commerce over vying for control of the lower planes.

Shawn landed gracefully.

The abyssal demon dog did not stop him as expected. It gestured for Shawn to act freely, while its massive body sank into the blood pool. This was not its true form—likely it was an avatar concentrating most of its power; its true form was probably still within the Bottomless Abyss.

Around the abyssal blood pool, tens of thousands of soul worms had already hatched. Once souls entered the pool, they were largely cleansed of memories, then transformed into new life forms—those head-bearing grotesque human-faced worms.

"This is no ordinary spawn point anymore."

"This is a base camp that both demons and devils have set up in the Bizarre Realm!" Shawn mused to himself.

As long as there are souls, especially evil ones, demons and devils will be born endlessly, no longer needing humans to merge with Extraordinary Relics for advancement. Effectively, they recycle and reuse a portion of the world’s souls.

"In this way, the shell of the soul in the Spirit Realm will greatly reduce."

Shawn attempted to merge with the evil magic law here. He possessed Aemon’s true name and the manifestation of the Three Paths of Purgatory, easily perceiving the abilities of demons and decoding the gene tree from the blood pool.

"Activate divine power!"

"Analyze the Law Spring!"

"You have gained partial abilities of the [Demon] domain!..."

"You deciphered the genetic map of the ’Third Generation Tanarri Demon’!...Your knowledge (Demon) has greatly increased!..."

Timid Demon (Tanarri Race), Kuase Demon, Enchanting Demon (Tanarri Race), Demon-Hunting Spider, Fro Demon (Tanarri Race), Frenzy Demon (Tanarri Race), Enchanting Demon (Tanarri Race), Judgement Soul Demon (Tanarri Race), Six-armed Snake Demon (Tanarri Race), Balrog Flame Demon (Tanarri Race), and so on.

Shawn almost beheld the genetic map of most demons. It resembled a vast tree, with the foundation rooted in the soul worms, ascending step by step along the trunk, with branching demon forms on either side, and split-off branches not belonging to Tanarri Demons. At the top was the most perfect and stable form, the ’Balrog Flame Demon’.

"The pinnacle of gene modification in the Multiverse!"

"And within it lies an indescribable power."

Shawn seemed to sense something; he discovered that within the genetic tree of the Tanarri Demons, in the section where the flesh mutated, there existed forces from chaos, yet included elements of order, because the demonic genetic map was a complete arboreal structure.

Having acquired the demonic genetic map meant he also obtained the devils’ genetic map, as the Three Paths of Purgatory employed the same gene.

Within the abyssal blood pool lay the Root Source Law, a fundamental gene akin to that of the ’Insect Race’.

The soul worm was the core currency of the lower planes, capable of unlocking the promotion sequences of the three paths. The advancement tree of the Three Paths of Purgatory shared the same base point, with possibilities for mutual crossover, as enchanting demons leaned towards the devil’s lawful camp.

"No wonder Aemon holds simultaneously the power of demons, devils, and evil demons; the source lies in the basal gene tree."

"Hence."

"Even without the essence of demons, I can still unify the laws of the Three Paths of Purgatory."

Gene technology.

It could even be described as genetic ascension!

Shawn considered the countless soul worms around him. They were nurtured like magical insects, eventually spawning wave upon wave of mighty demons, defying the fundamental laws of nature. Demons utilized souls as source points, continually birthing new kin.

Regardless of a past existence as human, dwarf, elf, or any other wise beings, all could be transformed into demon species.
