The Chaos Shield traps the Pupil Demon, then ignites it with the lifespan-consuming magic fire. The Pupil Demon's fate is sealed—consumed by the fire within the Chaos Shield, with its lifespan burned away.

As the Pupil Demon's lifespan is consumed, Li Cunxu believes this process won't take long because he sensed a significant loss of lifespan when the Pupil Demon used the Celestial Void Death Seal.

In other words, it won't be long before the Pupil Demon dies of old age under the watchful eyes of the Tongdu People.

Before Li Cunxu is exiled, it's imperative to take the Pupil Demon's life; otherwise, in people's eyes, despite Li Cunxu having the upper hand and thrashing the Pupil Demon, he would be counter-killed by it.

Victors write history, and without killing the Pupil Demon, the statement 'The Pupil Demon is not the Pupil Emperor' becomes much less credible.

Moreover, taking the Pupil Demon's life serves another purpose for Li Cunxu.

Li Cunxu ponders, power of fate? It seems only one fate-related powerhouse surpasses the little white spider in the fate lineage, and that powerhouse is after Xiaoruan's Myriad Phenomena Law; could it be him/her/it?

But Xiaoruan's Myriad Phenomena Law hasn't reached Emperor-level yet, right?

Why would he/she/it act now?
