(THE ENEMY IS HERE!) – thought Thauma as with two scout golems spotted two groups of unknown people heading towards the towards the armies of golem.

(The numbers.... 100... 150... There is between 150 to around 200 enemies combined.)

(My side has around 1 000 combat type golems.)

(This is the army I’ve had produced so far.)

(Many of these golems belong to the different generation though, they are not as strong as the latest models, but still, I have more than enough forces.)

"..."

And yet, the golem did not felt relived.

Over 1 000 golems against army of around 200?

True, Thauma may had been focused on developing the territory and making trades, causing the growth of its army to noticeable slow down... But even so, it was army of 1 000.

Not only that, there were several high-ranking powerful elite golems, which also included boss golems.

It was a powerful army.

...

But even so, something was still not right.

Both Thauma and Porai knew by now that the enemy must had obtained some information about them.

Not only that, the golems were OUT IN THE OPEN.

That means the enemy could see the golems and suspect how many foes they would have to face.

And yet, force of around 200?

This did not made Thauma relived one bit.

If anything.

It made it terrified.

(If that mage is that strong, then does that mean rest of them as strong as them?!) – thought Thauma

(FIRE! FIRE AT WILL!) – Thauma gave command to its golems, ordering the crossbow golems to open fire at the invaders.

"!"

"THEY ARE AIMING AT US!" – shouted the hooded female attacker.

"ON IT!" – shouted the man wearing iron mask.

The golems took aim and in the very next second, they let their bolt loose, instantly covering up the sky with bolts.

"NOW!" – shouted a heavily armored.

[Wind Magic: Projectile Repeller]

A massive combination of several heavily armored people formed a combined shield while the mages used their wind magic to create a gust of raging wind in front.

Both groups did it as the projectile came their way.

The wind managed push away, knock back or redirect some of the projectiles, causing them to become useless.

However, it wasn’t able to fully stop the massive volume of projectiles.

But that was what the defenders was for, as their shields and bodies blocked off the projectiles that got past them.

"SHIT! THEY ARE WAY MORE DANGEROUS THAN WE THOUGHT!" – shouted the mage.

"KEEP GOING! WE JUST NEED TO GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO THESE FUCKERS TO START DESTORYNG THEM!" – shouted the man in heavy armor as the two armies continued rushing towards the golems.

However, the golems already prepared their next barrage and instantly unleashed it at the foes, causing a rain of projectiles to once again clash against the two groups defenses.

"WE ARE CLOSING THE DISTANCE! CO-"

However, just as the heavily armored attacker were to encourage his comrades, a massive ballista bolts came in and pierced right through the veil of wind, before then smashing right into the defensive wall, dealing noticeable amount of damage.

It didn’t pierced through the wall of shields, but still, it was able to stop for moment the enemies.

"!?"

(How?! These are upgraded ballistae that are equipped with magic enchanted equipped! HOW!? HOW THE-)

"THAUMA! THE MAGE! LOOK TOWARDS THE MAGE! NEW ENEMIES!" – shouted Porai, communication with Thauma via messenger golem.

While Thauma was distracted by the two upcoming groups, it completely forgotten in the heat of moment to focus on the mage.

It did ordered its golems to attack the mage as well as the two groups that appeared.

However, when Thauma looked towards the mage’s direction once again, it saw that a third group had emerged and quickly regrouped with the mage who was using water magic to defend himself.

(THIRD?!) – thought Thauma as it tried shifting the focus on its army, but the enemy was already on the move as they started moving forward.

"..."

"Fuck." – said Porai as she was observing the situation from above with her own golem.

(They got us.) – thought Porai.

(The mage was a distraction that was meant to focus on attention fully on him, giving the two groups opening to rush in.)

(However, these two groups were both distraction as well!)

(Thauma put heavy focus on these two groups, splitting up his forces into 3.)

(Weak one that is aimed at the mage, while the two stronger ones were aimed at the two groups.)

(But that was a second bait.)

(The moment golems started moving, those bastards already gotten us!) – thought Porai as she could tell from above, that the third group that was noticeable quickly closing in.

Thauma ordered its golems to show no mercy as they unleashed their bombardment once again.

However, the man with tattoos, the man who unleashed the massive fire spheres and created wall of water to block off the previous attack.... He didn’t do anything.

No.

Instead, a two hooded figure stepped in front of the tattoo bearing man.

[Thunder Magic: Guarding Thunder]

The two hooded figures unleashed from their staffs the same kind of magic, unleashing a raging thunders which clashed against the incoming projectiles, knocking them away or destroying them.

However, there was still somewhat good amount of them going past... But it wasn’t enough to stop the group as a man who wore a mask and a hood stepped forward, wielding a massive two handed axe with long blade stepped forward and swung around his blade, unleashing a shockwave so powerful that it knocked away every single projectile that gotten past.

"..."

(That wasn’t magic.) – thought Porai as she observed what just happened.

(It was pure brute force.)

"DONE!" – shouted the younger brother as he unleashed a gentle wind which enveloped every single person in the group.

"GO!" – shouted the man wielding the massive axe as his group started running at the top speed, while also receiving speed boost from the spell that was just cast on the group.

"!?"

(Shit! They are moving way too fast!) – thought Thauma as it ordered its golems to fire again while also calling more golems to support third side.

However, the enemy wasn’t stopping.

They were gaining up speed as they ran forward.

The crossbow golems tried stopping the attackers, but it wasn’t working.

...

But then the ballista golems finally made their appearance.

Two ballistae golems fired their shots at the third group, aiming to slow them down even for a bit.

But the man with the long-bladed axe wasn’t having it, as she sped up and got ahead of the group as the two massive projectile flew right at the man.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"

A massive volume of battle energy gathered around the axe, before then the man swung the axe, causing the energy to explode as it somewhat created increased in size version of the blade that ended up colliding with the two massive bolts.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" – the bolts struggled against the man’s axe, pushing it back a bit as the man feet somewhat sunk into the ground from the impact.

But the man wasn’t having it as he swung his massive axe, knocking back the two projectiles as they smashed and split into two.

"!?"

(THE FUCK DID HE JUST DO NOW?!) – thought Porai and Thauma as the third group was running once again at top speed towards the golems.

And it wasn’t just them.

The two other groups were also dangerously closing in towards the golems.

(Fuck! The hell is going on?!) – thought confused and terrified Thauma.

(There is about 100 of them in each group!)

(There should had been some losses by now, but nothing!?)

(HOW?!)

(Not only that, that third group... They are way too dangerous!)

(There is no doubt about it.)

(The strongest fighters are in the third group!) – thought Thauma as the three groups were about to simultaneously arrive near the golems.

"DO YOU HAVE THE SPELL READY!" – shouted the man with massive long bladed axe.

"I’M ON IT! JUST ONE MORE SEC!" – shouted the man with tattoos who was non other than the older brother as he took off his hood.

"JUST-"

"WATCH OUT!" – shouted the deep voiced chhipakalee as something was flying towards their group, while at the same time the two other groups also noticed something coming their way.

What was it?

A football shaped objects with wings that spun around the object as it then crushed into the ground near the groups, before then exploding, unleashing massive magic-based explosion.

"?!" – the series of explosions happened all around the three groups, managing to stop all 3 of them, while at the same time somewhat damaging their defenses and even managing to hit some of the attackers.

(Bastards.) – thought Thauma.

(You knew about ballista golems and crossbow golems, and you prepared to counter them.)

(I will give you that.)

(But did you really thought I didn’t developed new weapons!?) – thought Thauma as a massive long barrel shaped golem which walked on all fours and had a snail like shell device attached on the back.

The barrel like part of the body had a launching system inside of it, which revealed four hidden ballista limbs ended up hiding inside of the body as the projectile holder reached the end of the barrel.

And as the projectile holder reached it, the snail shell shaped device put inside of the projectile holder another football shaped object.

(You probably know about my bomb golems as well.)

(But you probably think that they can be only used as traps.)
