So, the two of them didn’t send Storm away and continued watching the others move towards the first group of people that they saw.

The group of people were moving carefully, but they were obviously stronger than the others. So even though they had a hard time flying, they could still last longer than the others, so in just half an hour they immediately reached the first group of people that they had seen before.

It seemed that they also have a way to communicate with each other as long as the distance isn’t too far, or they have a way to signal each other, so the 24 people that they saw first hadn’t moved away again and were still staying around waiting for the arrival of the others.

Afterwards, Ryzel and Layton heard the others greeting each other and reporting that they made no progress yet again, so they’ll probably have to enter deeper as they still hadn’t seen the herb that they were looking for.

Ryzel nodded and then continued looking at the screen to see what those people would do.

Then, two of the guards moved the curtains of the box in their direction. Then they saw that the leader, who had just been pale 3 weeks ago, had now become even paler and thinner than before. The leader also obviously couldn’t move much any longer, as he was already reclining in a specially made seat for him.

Even though the leader was very sick, Ryzel and Layton could still see that he was very calm. He looked exhausted, but his expression was still peaceful, as if he had already accepted that he might never recover and his death is near.

The leader looked in their direction and said, "Friends from afar, you’ve been observing us for a long time. I’m currently one of the leaders of Tennah. Can you show and identify yourselves? As long as you don’t bring any harm to our people, we are willing to communicate and help if needed."

They didn’t disable the camouflage of Storm immediately, but Ryzel still commented:

"This person is really a good leader. He seems to have accepted that he might only have a few days or months to live, but he was still trying to do his duty as leader until now."

"Yes, he is good. It’s likely that he had already sensed our presence for a long time and had just been sensing if we had any malicious intent. Since he didn’t sense any, he was willing to talk to us now. However, he is still alert and wary of us, so he still sent most of his people away in case of danger, leaving the strongest people by his side to confront us in case we turned out to be enemies.

Ryzel couldn’t sense that far like Layton, but he could see that all those people were indeed all unafraid and very determined.

The two of them didn’t appear and speak to the leader immediately, and it seems that the leader thought for a while and repeated what he said again in another language, but this time it’s easily translated by Storm.

"I think I heard of such a language before. Which one did he use?" Ryzel asked.

"He just spoke using the elves’ language," Layton said seriously.

Ryzel nodded with understanding. No wonder he just found it familiar but didn’t know which language it was, because it’s actually the language of elves, which was very far away from their federation.

Ryzel nodded and turned on his protective cover, then Layton disabled the camouflage function of Storm while lowering it to the ground.
