My Core is the Boss

Chapter 138.2: That Is Not The Sun, It Is My Golden Core

Taking a deep breath, Qi Yuan gazed toward the palaces and pavilions atop the Seven-Colored Peak. Under the cold moonlight, the place was as silent as an immortal realm. He began to ascend.

Midway up the mountain, a barrier appeared.

Qi Yuan touched the barrier with his fingertips. "Master, your disciple has formed his Golden Core."

The restriction that had once blocked him could no longer hold him back. He stepped through and slowly walked toward the palace at the peak.

He felt calm. The summit was far colder than the mid-slope. Sometimes, snow fell at the peak while the mid-slope remained sunny.

Upon arriving at the summit, Qi Yuan felt a faint chill. He caught a glimpse of a white-jade palace through drifting clouds. It was his first time here.

Qi Yuan called softly toward the palace ahead, "Master?"

His voice echoed through the halls and returned to his own ears. Yet, his master did not appear.

Qi Yuan grew a little bolder. "Wife?"

Nothing happened. Usually, the clouds would have responded. Qi Yuan felt disappointed. As he expected, beautiful women were always skilled at lying.

He stepped into the palace in hope of finding her. However, the vast grand hall was empty. It was eerily quiet, utterly devoid of any sign of life, as if no one had lived here for a thousand years.

Just then, a simple jade token fell from the air, landing perfectly in Qi Yuan’s palm. His eyes narrowed sharply when he saw the only character carved upon it. "Moon?”
