Chapter 113.2: The Power of the White Supremes Disciple
Neither Demon Tamers nor Demon Slayers liked the Flowing River Demon Cavern. Every so often, endless demon spawns would emerge from it to join the wars of the 108,000 Cities.
A cold-faced woman appeared, and over a dozen Nation Subjugators and several Mythwalkers dropped to their knees, trembling.
"Supreme Yubai, what happened in the Flowing River Demon Cavern was our oversight..." one Mythwalker said with difficulty.
"Hmph. The Thousand Cities only have ninety-nine demon caverns," Supreme Yubai said coldly. "This one was breached and wiped clean, leaving no demon spawns for a decade. If not for the coming war, I'd never have noticed. Just how long did you plan to hide this from me?"
The cavern's vitality was crucial for generating demon spawns, and restoring it required a Supreme's Origin.
"We did report it, but... Your Excellency was in seclusion..." another Mythwalker stammered hesitantly.
"Oh? So it's my fault, then?" Supreme Yubai's eyes flashed with fury, the air thickening with Human-Demon Power.
The cultivator froze, unable to breathe or move.
"You dare deceive me? Hide things from me? You deserve death!" With a flick of her wrist, she crushed him from afar, his body bursting into a cloud of blood. Only then did her mood ease. She demanded. "Who stormed the Flowing River Demon Cavern? Answer me."
"Since this place is nearest to Yuzhou, it's likely the guardian of the City of No Return. He's a very powerful Mythwalker, appearing and vanishing at will. He's often been hunting demon spawns these past decades."
Another said, "Since the Great Supreme's arrival, all cities have retreated to Great Sorrow City. Only that guardian remains, recklessly staying behind."
Supreme Yubai sneered, saying as casually as if ordering tea. "A mere Mythwalker dares act so arrogantly? Take some men and level the City of No Return."
