Adrien’s hands moved to the bottom of his shirt, fingers curling under the soft fabric as he smoothly pulled it up, revealing his sculpted torso inch by inch. I couldn’t tear my eyes away; my breath hitched as the shirt cleared his chest, and he tossed it aside into the shadows of the room.
The moonlight and a faint glow from under the door outlined the defined ridges of his abs, every muscle honed from countless hours at the gym and on the basketball court, the kind of physique that made my mouth go dry and my stomach twist with desire.
A flush crept up my neck and across my cheeks while I stared, completely captivated, then, mortified I jerked my gaze away, fixing it on the ceiling as if it were the most captivating thing I’d ever seen.
Adrien’s low chuckle rumbled through the quiet, warm and knowing, and before I could think of a response, he gently caught my wrist, guiding my hand forward until it lay flat against the warm, taut skin of his stomach.
"I know you’ve been wanting to touch these," he murmured, his voice a velvety rasp, his thumb brushing over my knuckles while he pressed my hand down more firmly against him.
"I see you staring every time I’m shirtless, Noah. Those pretty eyes are glued to me, like you’re starving."
I shot him a glare, cheeks burning hotter than ever, but honestly, it didn’t have much bite, it was more comical than anything, especially with the way my lips threatened to smile.
He wasn’t wrong, and we both knew it. I’d spent months pretending I wasn’t tracing every contour of him in my mind long after he had walked away.
"Shut up, boy kisser," I muttered, the insult half-hearted and breathless. Adrien threw his head back and laughed softly, the sound made his abs flex beautifully under my palm.
