Chapter 123 Alexander The Death Tree

Chapter 123 Alexander The Death Tree

Crash.

Stomp.

Thud.

Heavy sounds of battle echoed from deep inside the cave prison.

“MOVE, ASSHOLES! ATTACK THE MONSTER!” Magnus roared as he jumped in. He flicked his arm, unleashing a swarm of chains coated in Leben. They shot forward at insane speed, spikes glinting along their length.

GRWAAALL!!

The monstrous dwarf bellowed as the chains wrapped around him, binding his body. The beast strained, muscles bulging, fighting back with raw, brutal strength.

The warriors of the Death Tree rushed in, swords raised.

Clash! Stab! Slash!

They struck relentlessly, driving their blades into the gaps between the chains.

Vadia stood behind Magnus, bouncing lightly on her toes—coiling her body, waiting for the perfect moment.

Behind her, Magnus’s sex slaves were pressed against the cave wall, trembling. Afraid—but ready to obey whatever command he gave.

And in the middle stood Laila, the one in the long black dress.

Tall above all of them, radiating a regal aura.

Her expression stayed calm and composed despite the chaos.

She opened her mouth…

and began to sing.

A deep, powerful, seductive melody echoed through the prison.

Vadia’s eyes narrowed.

She saw an opening.

She launched forward at blistering speed, slipping between her brother’s Leben-coated chains, and thrust the frost-enchanted sword with everything she had.

“Ahhhhh!”

But—just as she was about to land the final strike—

a massive killing intent slammed into her.

Vadia’s instincts screamed. She didn’t even notice her movements growing slower… and slower… each second.

She let go of the sword, leaving it half-buried in the dwarf, and used her momentum to vault over the monster’s shoulder—

FWIP!

A small magic projectile tore past where her head had been a split second ago—

and struck an unfortunate warrior, blowing his head apart.

At the same time, Magnus reacted.

He ripped a sword from his waist and raised it to block an incoming strike, pouring every drop of Leben into the blade—

and into his body.

But his body slowed… without him even noticing.

CRASH!!

The light from his weapon was instantly deflected.

The rebound force blasted him backward, his arms shaking from the impact.

His face split open—blood dripping down his chin.

He caught a glimpse of the attacker—

White short hair with two cat ears on top.

Black mouth mask.

Golden feline eyes—sharp as blades.

One of the escaped prisoners.

The catman lunged, sword flashing.

Magnus’s face twisted with rage, blood running down his body. He roared and unleashed every ounce of power he had left, trying to overpower the catman’s strike—

Mr. K’s blade was already in motion for the killing blow—

but for the first time,

his hand trembled.

Something in Magnus’s expression—unhinged, feral—

made him hesitate for just one heartbeat.

One. Fatal. Heartbeat.

His stab came a second too slow.

Magnus managed to rip his chains free from the dwarf—already snapping them back to impale the demihuman. He and the rest of the fighters snapped out of Laila’s song spell.

—but in that exact moment,

Iryoku appeared behind him.

No hesitation.

No mercy.

He drove his blade straight into Magnus’s back—

right toward the heart—

only for the strike to be stopped. The blade deflected off a small magic barrier layered on top of Magnus’s Leben-coated energy.

“Lord Magnus!” two of the sex slaves shouted. Both girls had their hands raised, energy swirling in them as they rushed forward, pulling hidden blades from their shoulder armor.

As Iryoku swung his sword again, ready to decapitate Magnus—

—he felt it.

An attack. Incoming.

He saw nothing, but instinct took over. He dropped low, yanking Mr. K down with him by the flesh-chain connecting their arms.

Tchk.

Small sounds. Almost silent. Coming from far away.

Iryoku flicked several throwing blades toward the source—

and saw Vadia rushing at them, something in her hands.

Tiny. Almost invisible.

“Shit—!”

He jumped back. Mr. K followed.

WOOSH!

But another attack came from behind.

Two more of Magnus’s sex slaves lifted their hands—

Wind spells burst toward them!

“These bitches weren’t just decorations?!” Iryoku cursed.

Iryoku and Mr. K dodged fast—

—but the Death Tree knights and Vadia’s follow-up attack came crashing down right after.

“That slut—!” Iryoku snarled, seeing Vadia fling another volley.

He focused and slashed the air with his sword, deflecting the projectiles.

Ting! Ting! Ting!

“They’re needles—POISON needles!” he shouted to Mr. K.

The moment the word “poison” left his mouth—

—Iryoku remembered.

A flash of the past.

That time he killed the fat Count—

he was poisoned by a similar attack.

“DON’T LET THEM ESCAPE! HE MUST DIE!” Magnus roared, lungs bursting, face twisted with pure rage as he unleashed his chains, Leben-coated spikes raining down like a storm.

Iryoku and Mr. K dodged and bolted, sprinting for their escape.

The warriors charged after them—

slaves, knights, Vadia—

all of them rushing to tear Iryoku and Mr. K apart.

“Shit, we failed — that useless Laila didn’t do shit.” He snarled, then turned to his demihuman partner.

“Motherfucker! Why did you hesitate?! Are you crazy?!” Iryoku shouted as he and Mr. K sprinted through the labyrinthine tunnels.

The catman was drenched in sweat, forehead shining. His hand trembled slightly, but he kept running.

An itch burned along the old scars on his body and face.

“Let’s get the hell out of here RIGHT NOW. If you don’t follow me, I’ll kill you myself!” Iryoku snapped, furious.

Mr. K said nothing. He just followed, mind hazy.

They weaved through the tunnels, losing their pursuers, and finally reached the massive steel door at the edge of the prison.

They shoved it open—

FWOOOSH!

Cold night air.

Moonlight.

Torches and magic lamps flickered across the streets outside the mountain-carved prison.

They saw the city—castle and houses on the other side.

“Great. No guards. Quickly, let’s rush to the bridge and escape—”

But Iryoku froze.

The giant gates in the outer wall began to open.

Torches flared to life.

Voices roared.

Heavy footsteps shook the ground like thunder.

They darted into the shadows, climbing onto the roof of a nearby building.

A long, booming horn sounded deep within the city.

Then a voice thundered:

“LORD ALEXANDER HAS ARRIVED!”

Iryoku’s body shook.

“This is the worst,” he muttered.

Row after row after row of warriors, knights, and mages poured in—

all carrying the banners of the Death Tree—entering Skarheim.

Dozens of carriages followed.

Some had raised platforms with naked women dancing and playing instruments.

This fucker is just like his son… or is it the other way around? Iryoku thought.

Then his eyes widened.

Three of the carriages each carried a flesh prison—

Cocoon-like sacks, pulsing and breathing like hearts.

The same kind Magnus used to capture him and Mr. K.

The army split and bowed.

A towering figure rode forward on a massive lizard-like beast.

Ancient. Battle-worn. Thɪs chapter is updatᴇd by ⓝovelFire.net

Long white hair draped over his shoulders.

His presence—like a war god.

Mr. K stood frozen, sweat pouring down his face.

Iryoku saw the fear in the catman’s demihuman eyes—

and followed his gaze to the old man.

“...Is that Alexander?” Iryoku whispered.

The man dismounted from his beast.

At that exact moment, the prison’s main gate opened at their side.

The entire army—and Alexander—turned to look.

From inside came Vadia, Magnus, their warriors, the sex slaves… and even Laila’s doppelgänger.

Magnus and Vadia froze—stunned.

“Father, I—”

Magnus’s angry face collapsed into panic.

He hesitated, then quickly walked forward and bowed, the rest of his group following.

“Greetings, Father,” he said.

They stood. Magnus stepped in front of Alexander.

Iryoku noticed the similarities—they were clearly blood.

Same height. Same build. Same face structure.

The difference?

Magnus looked in his prime.

Alexander looked like a legendary warrior in his sixties—scarred, weathered, dangerous.

Alexander’s deep, rough voice rumbled through the air.

“What’s happening, Magnus? Vadia?...”
