Chapter 207: And the Void answered his Call
Today was the 29th day since Zyrus's return to the moon. All this while he had done nothing but experiment on the new ideas he had. Finally, he succeeded.
Now was the time to deal with the trouble on Earth once and for all.
‘In the end, I couldn't save my home planet.’
Zyrus sighed and shook off all the negative thoughts from his head. That was a foregone conclusion. Now the wriggling alien hive was over the Jupiter, and its size looked even bigger than the sun.
He didn't know what would happen once it noticed his presence on the moon, nor did he plan to find out.
Indeed, he had decided to flee rather than face the hive. It wasn't because of his cowardice, but rather, his self-assessment.
Knowing when to retreat was also important. A monarch couldn't be just a headstrong buffoon who fought regardless of the chance of success. His regression gave him another chance at attaining his goals, and he wasn't going to waste it on a mere alien hive.
He would be able to accomplish greater things with his strength, and thus, risking his life before accomplishing that was nothing but plain stupidity. Besides, it wasn't as if there was any real benefit in fighting the hive. Earth was going to be lost either way.
‘And if that's the case, then it should be me who destroys the Earth.’
Zyrus roused all of the mana at his disposal and activated his avatar transformation. Immediately, he turned into a 100-meter-long white dragon. This time he was using the lunar mana as his source.
The mana on the moon was faint to the point of being unnoticeable; however, it did exist. This was his discovery after staying here for a month. Even though it was faint, he was the only organism capable of utilizing it.
This allowed him to proceed with the next step.
First, he manifested the rune of gravity. The entire moon shook as a vast surge of mana flooded towards the rune. Zyrus even resorted to using the cosmic radiation to fuel the rune of gravity.
Second, he manifested the rune of collapse. Nothing happened for a few moments before suddenly the entire surface of the moon cracked apart as if someone had thrown an egg over a boulder.
Zyrus's original plan was to use an upgraded version of the Meteor Fall spell. By using the falling moon, he was certain that he could destroy the aliens that were on Earth. No matter how strong they were, there was no way they were going to survive a planetary-level threat.
But in the end, Zyrus decided not to use that option. Not because he was reluctant to destroy the Earth, but rather this method didn't benefit him at all. The moon would be destroyed, the Earth would be destroyed, and in the end, aliens would still succeed.
He wasn't going to allow that. Rather than using moon to destroy the Earth, he was going to erase it from existence. All of the aliens’ schemes and planning would amount to nothing in the maws of Void.
The third rune that manifested was the concept of Erasure.
The entire moon broke apart and turned into fragments from the inside out. An attack of such a large scale was something unimaginable in the sanctuary, but here, this was well within Zyrus's capabilities. The energy required for it came from his own mana as well as the cosmic radiation.

Besides, he didn't have to fuel the entire process himself. What he needed was just a spark, a spark to activate his laws of void.
And the Void answered his call. A projection of a new rune shrouded the entire moon.
This was the simplest yet most complicated rune Zyrus had ever seen. The rune of void was a simple circle with a tiny dot inside of it. It was both insignificant and infinitely vast, just like the void itself.
Just how much energy was liberated from erasing the moon itself? Zyrus found the answer in the next instant.
A torrential amount of energy flooded into his acupoints. Since he was using the void body refining technique even now, he progressed by leaps and bounds after erasing the moon itself. One after another his acupoints lit up, and his form as the silver-white dragon expanded at a visible rate.
This wasn’t any new curse of void or other skill. This was the way of using the Void laws he had comprehended. He could erase other things to expand his own body, or erase his own energy to become smaller. Right now was the time to do the former.
200 meters, 300 meters, 500 meters, 1 kilometer, 5 kilometers... In the end, he became as huge as a gigantic dragon 10 kilometers long. By now, there was no way that those on the Earth hadn't noticed his presence. Even the alien hive had sensed the disturbance of moon.
Yet it mattered not.
*ROOOOOOAARRRRRRRRRRRR*
Sound shouldn't travel in the space, but at this moment, it did. A draconic roar of rage shook the entire space around the earth.
With a swipe of his tail Zyrus erased whatever remained of the moon. Finally, his vertical pupils settled on the bluish brown planet in front of him. It was time to kill the aliens.
Zyrus found it surprisingly easy to move in his 10 kilometer long form. Perhaps this was what it meant to be a Sylvarix, a race with unmatched adaptability. He swayed around in the space and arrived above the earth in less than a minute.
The speed was something unimaginable considering that he was using nothing but mana and his physical strength. Even from outside the earth’s atmosphere he saw one of the alien lords.
A winged creature as large as an entire mountain range was staring at him. Compared to when he saw it the last time, it had grown significantly larger and stronger. But so had Zyrus, much more so.
The ivory dragon roared once again and dove down straight towards the flying monster. There was no exchange of words or any other pleasantries.
What ensued right after was a brutal fight between two colossal beings.
“What are-”
Zyrus didn't give the enemy a chance to speak as he immediately opened his jaw and grabbed the vulture’s neck with his strong fangs. Right now, he wasn't fighting like a human but rather as a Sylvarix. Every inch of his body was now a weapon.
He swung his tail and snapped it right at the flying vulture's leg. Under the sheer impact of Zyrus's physical force, its leg couldn't help but be broken in half.
The vulture shrieked in pain and used one of its law-related abilities.
Blood-red light shone from its eye, and with a single flick of its beak it tore a huge chunk out of Zyrus's body. Zyrus didn't care, though. He knew that this state wasn't permanent since the energy of moon wasn’t infinite. He had to make use of every second.
And besides, he wasn't alone in this fight. The summons he had buried in the continent awoke with a single thought of his. The Earth’s will also mounted a final struggle and joined Zyrus in this fight.
A vast surge of mana rose from the sole continent on Earth and suffused into every pore of Zyrus. Now he controlled more than seventy percent of the entire planet’s mana. Such an amount was more than enough for him, and now, he could use one ability after another without a care in the world.
Arcane spears, shackles that bound and erased everything, the principles of uncertainty... Zyrus used every curse, skill, and authority he knew and brawled it out with the large vulture.
This was perhaps the fastest fight he ever had. He didn't give the enemy even a single moment to retaliate. With a loud, earth-shattering bang, the two colossal beings finally crashed onto the sole continent on Earth.
The impact from their fall caused quakes that tore apart the ocean floors. Tsunamis rose, and with them came another creature that shrouded the horizon.
The alien lord residing in the ocean had undergone a total transformation. The center of its body was a triangle that floated in the air, and attached to it were tentacles that was as long as Zyrus. Its mere existence was destroying the planet from the inside out.
[At last, this moment has come. Are you prepared, the last Apostle?]
A somber voice made its way to Zyrus’s ears. Even without looking back he knew whom it belonged to. His first companion after regression, the will of the earth.
It was time to fulfill its desire.
“Bring it on.” Zyrus roared and flung away the injured vulture.
In the next instant, the will of the entire planet descended on his body.
