We are Void [Litrpg x Law cultivation + Kingdom Building]

Chapter 205: Fundamentals of Galactic Warfare

The first thing Zyrus did was open the cube’s Void tree interface. A miniature hologram of an inverted tree appeared in front of his eye, one that grew from pitch-black darkness. The tree had a total of thirteen branches, three of which were lit up.

They were respectively the curses he had made so far: The Curse of Collapse, The Curse of Nothingness, and The Curse of Uncertainty. Nothing much had changed in them. However, what came next was a significant improvement.

  • Concept of Erasure: 62.11%
  • Concept of Gravity: 57.20%
  • Concept of Collapse: 50.85%
  • Concept of Nothingness: 49.06%
  • Concept of Oblivion: 43.68%
All of the concepts comprehended by him had improved by at least fifteen percent. This was the proof that he hadn't been idle in the past years. He had done the best he could in improving his comprehension of the various concepts.

And this wasn't the only thing. After that was the knowledge base section where he had learned almost everything there was to learn about. Even the two latest sections, ‘Quantum theory of the emission’ and ‘Planar & Cosmic radiation’ had made great progress.

  • An Introduction to Concepts: 100%
  • Magic attributes and how to use them!: 100%
  • An Introduction to Laws: 98%
  • A practical guide on ‘Source of Existence’: 82.9%
  • Abyss Compendium: 91%
  • Example and Application of Laws: 87.3%
  • Records on Oblivion: 73.7%
  • Quantum theory of the emission: 55%
  • Planar & Cosmic radiation: 39%
By now he was confident in using that knowledge in some entry-level applications. However, these alone weren't enough. If he wanted to fight a war on a galactic scale, he needed much more than this.

Perhaps the cube had realized this fact as well, as below them was a new section.

  • Beginner’s guide to Realm of Order
  • Fundamentals of Galactic Warfare
Unlike the knowledge base, this was different. Based on the glowing boundary on the words it was apparent that the content was much more advanced compared to before.

Words such as ‘beginners’ and ‘fundamental’ were misleading in this case. After all, even the most basic knowledge regarding galactic warfare or the realm of order was far too precious.

Zyrus didn't immediately start reading, however. He had a lot more things to check now that he was back on Earth.

What was the state of the various facilities he had built on the Earth's continent? What happened to the Ophidian warriors he had sacrificed to bring his grand plan into fruition? Was his control spread all over the Earth’s continent? He couldn't predict that since he was so far out of range.

Yet, perhaps the cube could.

A hologram of the built facilities appeared from the cube. Five barracks were arranged in the pentagon formation while three other buildings were settled inside in a triangular formation.

As his claw touched the hologram, a new screen unfolded before his eyes.

  • Barracks Interface:
Train your subordinates or summons according to the selected regimen. Increases the chance of evolution and skill learning process. You can appoint an instructor to teach their designated skill.

Limit: 10,000

Instructor limit: 1

Note: You can either create a regimen yourself or generate one based on your goal. Additional materials might be required depending on the goal.

  • Alchemy Tower:
A tower equipped with necessary potion-making and enchantment tools. It has a large collection of blueprints and potion formulas, which can be accessed by improving the alchemy proficiency.

Worker limit: 100

Researcher limit: 10

Lead alchemist position: 1

Note: A large number of materials are required to practice alchemy. Given enough time and resources, it is possible to impart basic mastery to the tower's occupants.

  • Forge :
A forge equipped with necessary weaponsmithing and artifact refining tools. It has a large collection of blueprints and research theories, which can be accessed by improving the forging proficiency.

Worker limit: 200

Researcher limit: 15

Lead forger position: 1

Note: A large amount of materials are required to practice forging. Given enough time and resources, it is possible to impart basic mastery to the tower's occupants.

Unfortunately, there was nothing except for the description of the various facilities. What happened to them or what was going on with his summons was something he didn't know.

He could summon them here right now, but he didn't want to risk drawing unnecessary attention. He only had a month to prepare, and thus, he decided to make the best of his time.

First and foremost was the issue regarding the scale of the warfare. He planned on using Avatar as the base and then create a new skill, authority, or even a new curse of void that would allow him to enlarge and deal with enemies who were too big in size.

The knowledge for that should be within the beginner's guide to the Realm of Order. However, just getting bigger wouldn't solve his issue. A bigger body would mean higher energy expenditure.

So far his devourer trait had been doing the heavy lifting, but he wasn't sure what would happen if he were to change his size. It would be pathetic if he died due to lack of mana in the middle of a fight. Thus, he needed to find an energy that wasn't mana but was compatible with him.

The answer to that remained with his talent.

Zyrus had seen his status enough times to remember information on ‘Devour’ even without the system's assistance. The introductory phrase of the trait was ‘Devour the heavens to transcend your mortality.’

In essence, after absorbing the blood of Jormungandr, he had inherited a part of its talent that granted him the ability to devour cosmic energy and use it to temper his flesh and blood. He hadn't done much of that since, well, there was no cosmic energy in the sanctuary.

At least not enough in concentration to justify using it over mana.

There were also two special abilities. The first one allowed him to accumulate cosmic energy in any part of his body, and by unleashing that energy, he could imbue his attacks with stellar power. The other special ability was that he could survive in any environment by devouring the world's energy.

The fact that he was fine on the moon was a great proof of that. After all, there was no mana on the moon. Thus began the question: where was the energy that sustained him coming from?

Zyrus looked upward at the infinite sea of stars. Wasn't that the source of cosmic energy? There was a similar concept in science as well.

The energy of the cosmos: The cosmic radiation.

In the knowledge base, there was also the information on planar and cosmic radiation. Using that would surely guide him in the right direction. Bit by bit Zyrus gathered all of his knowledge and forged a plan that would lead him to success.

There were two more things he could integrate into this. One of them was his Void body refining technique. Originally, it used spiritual qi to temper flesh, bones, meridians, and acupoints.

Since that did not exist in the sanctuary or Earth, Zyrus had modified the technique to use cosmic energy along with the laws of void. Later on, he had used his talent of devour to make ninety-nine quantum vacuums in his body, and created the Curse of oblivion.

He was fundamentally erasing parts of his body to resonate with the laws of the void, and in return, gaining the power to wield the laws of void.

Tying it up with the earlier topic, he now had to make a certain configuration where he erased the cosmic radiation in order to fuel his laws of void. Instead of erasing, he should be expanding.

His target was the other form of the Void: The vast, infinite emptiness.

As to how he was going to integrate all of this together? The answer to this lay with the final target: the runes he had been working on.

After creating and experimenting various runes for a long while; Zyrus had a lot of new ideas on how to accomplish his goal.

By extracting knowledge from his talent, skills, and curses of void; he was sure that he could create something that had enough potential and power to rival even the star-sized hive coming at them.

“Well then, better get started,” Zyrus muttered and sat down cross legged on the moon. He dragged his claw over his arm and drew out a thin strand of blood. Now that he was just testing out ideas he didn’t have to make talismans.

He used Heavenly eyes and Eyes of Annihilation at the same time in order to maximize his senses and comprehension. Finally, he manifested the concept he was most familiar with via his blood.

Without any energy fluctuation his blood was erased right in front of his reptilian eyes. Such a thing had happened too many times on the sanctuary.

However, Zyrus couldn’t help but curve his lips right now. This wasn’t the sanctuary. This wasn’t a place where the concentration of laws was high. What he was sitting upon was a broken moon of a dying planet.

Perhaps that was why, his own will was able to overpower the laws that governed this space. Just before the blood vanished he had glimpsed at a certain shape, a rune that represented the Concept of Erasure.
