Chapter 713 - 486: Turns Out Xiaomi Has Been Raising Them
When Xiaomi entered the space, everyone was still in shock.
They had long known Xiaomi had secrets and magical encounters, but they never imagined such encounters would be so extraordinary.
Even Ling’er, who claimed to be the Artifact Spirit, had explained that the space belonged to Xiaomi and described its functions, yet they still found it hard to believe.
In fact, before today, everyone had entertained all sorts of strange speculations.
They even thought that Xiaomi might truly be an immortal descending to the mortal realm with Immortal Law.
But they never expected that Xiaomi was hiding another world altogether?
So, when Xiaomi entered, what she saw was everyone standing outside the courtyard, dazed.
"What’s wrong with you all, Ling’er, didn’t you explain to everyone?"
Xiaomi pushed the door open from the courtyard, and as soon as she spoke, everyone looked over in unison.
"Master, I’ve already explained, but everyone hasn’t snapped out of it yet."
Ling’er always existed in the space as an intangible presence, only her voice could be heard, but she couldn’t be seen.
However, their conversation brought everyone back to their senses.
"Xiaomi, is this really your space? Is it, like the storybooks say, a universe in a sleeve?"
Little Bun in Xiaoxue’s arms clearly didn’t remember this place. At this moment, leaning against Daddy’s chest, he was curiously looking around.
Among everyone, aside from Xiaoxue and Wei Ziang, Little Bun’s condition was the best.
"A universe in a sleeve?" Xiaomi repeated, nodding, "Something like that. Stop standing around, you probably haven’t had breakfast yet. Come inside for a bite, then I’ll take you around for a tour."
Then Xiaomi invited everyone inside. Ling’er had already prepared the food for them, including all kinds of pastries, steamed buns, noodles, dumplings, and various breakfast items.
There were, of course, familiar items like buns and ravioli with different fillings.
Plus, there were individual trays for each person to pick their food.
Little Bun had rice noodles, egg custard, chicken drumsticks, a small banana, and most importantly, a specialized chair for children to eat.
Seeing the dishes flying over, everyone was already amazed, and Xiaomi taught them how to use tongs to pick their food.
Afterward, the dishes flew back.
In the warehouse, there was a designated area for storing various cooked foods; whenever they wanted to eat, they could simply take it out, and it would taste fresh as if just made.
There were so many things in the space that Ling’er, often idle, loved to fiddle with food and store it.
Though she couldn’t eat, she could taste through Xiao Ba’s body.
Everyone, accustomed to their usual tastes, chose what they liked to eat often and sat at the table in the courtyard, still feeling amazed.
Seeing Xiaomi empty-handed, Second Aunt asked, "Xiaomi, why aren’t you eating? By the way, how are Ziang and Yingying?"
"I can’t eat here, Sister Yingying is still sleeping, and Brother is outside keeping watch. If anyone comes upstairs, he can block them temporarily and remind us to go out."
A wave of Xiaomi’s hand called over various fruits.
"I’m sorry I took so long to tell everyone, but this space is truly magical. After you eat, I’ll take you around the space. For the next while, if anyone feels unwell, come inside, then make some appearances outside so others know we’re alright."
By this time, everyone had started eating. After entering the space without experiencing the dizzying feeling of a spinning world, everyone felt much better.
Hearing Xiaomi’s words, Second Aunt smiled and shook her head, "There’s nothing to be sorry about. Such a magical thing, I say, should have been kept secret all along."
Next to her, Jiang Yu was eating a piece of fried banana and drinking milk—his choices were all things he hadn’t eaten before or ate rarely.
Fried bananas, milk, mashed potatoes, and a small steak. When he chose the steak, Ling’er explained how to use a knife and fork.
But Jiang Yu didn’t use them, instead, holding the steak steadily with chopsticks, taking a bite and eating other food without delay.
The fried banana tasted sweet and aromatic, crispy outside and soft inside, and he shared a piece with Xiaoxue, who loved sweets.
But the next moment, both of their plates had several more pieces of fried banana, courtesy of Ling’er.
Upon hearing his mother’s words, Jiang Yu slowly said, "It’s fine if we know, as long as we don’t tell anyone else. I think we should drink less in the future, just in case someone gets too talkative after drinking."
Second Aunt quickly nodded, "Yes, yes, Hu, you shouldn’t drink either. If you get drunk and accidentally reveal it, Xiaomi will be in danger."
Jiang Hu was eating beef noodles, large pieces of marinated beef, which he found particularly satisfying.
Especially after having little appetite last evening and skipping breakfast today, he was now enjoying his meal heartily. But hearing his wife’s words, his expression turned bitter.
"Can’t I drink at all? I’ll drink a little, but I won’t get drunk."
"You can have one cup at most each time."
"Oh, alright, one cup is fine."
Instantly, a small jar of wine and a small cup appeared in front of Jiang Hu.
Originally, Jiang Hu hadn’t planned on drinking now, but his eyes lit up, "Ling’er is so considerate. Being in here is so convenient, just like being a celestial being."
Xiaomi saw that everyone was adapting quickly and felt relieved.
"Ling’er and I can control everything in the space with just a thought, it’s very convenient."
Watching over Little Bun’s meal while talking with his wife, Liu Ze suddenly looked up seriously at everyone.
"Rest assured, I absolutely won’t tell anyone about this, including my parents."
Xiaomi laughed, "Ze, you’re being too polite, of course, I trust you."
Liu Ze smiled, "I’m happy Xiaomi trusts me, but I still need to say it."
Then everyone laughed and chatted as they ate, someone even asked about the taste of Jiang Yu’s selected foods.
Ling’er cut the steak into small pieces, distributing one to each person’s plate along with a small spoonful of mashed potatoes and a piece of fried banana.
Each had only a small cup of milk, enough for two or three sips.
After all, everyone had already chosen plenty of food, taking too much now would be hard to finish.
But after drinking the milk, Second Aunt suddenly pressed her lips together, "This milk tastes so familiar."
Jiang Yu immediately identified it, "It’s the taste from when Xiaomi and Xiaowei were little, a milky fragrance."
Then glancing at Little Bun happily drinking nearby, "Previously, whenever Little Bun was taken out by Xiaomi, he came back smelling like this too."
Jiang Hu suddenly realized, "So Xiaomi was actually using this to feed herself and Xiaowei since they were little?"
No wonder Aunt Liu said Xiaowei might not survive, yet he grew up healthy and chubby.
Turns out Xiaomi had been nurturing everyone from the start?
