"Calm down, K dear. It’s Lily who resurrected this beast, so she has the right to decide that," Katherine reminded calmly.
"Ah no, I was just asking," Kaelion replied quickly. "Since it can survive on its own, isn’t it like a normal wandering spirit beast that can be tamed? But the plus is that it’s not a resentful beast and can be tamed comparatively easily."
Katherine nodded at that.
"Yes, it’s like that. Since her talent is the same as the Elven Empress’s, the beasts resurrected by her will be easier to tame, just like mine."
While Kaelion took in the words--’same as Elven Empress’ Leo had a question.
"Wait, how are humans aware of how the Elven Empress’s talent works?" Leo asked, his brows knitting slightly. He had noticed that both Katherine and Brant seemed well aware of it.
Brant saw no reason to hide it.
"Transactions. Sometimes we ask for such information in exchange for handing over their world’s secret realms and other such things that appear in human lands. As a matter of fact, we have even made the Elven Empress resurrect spirit beasts of our choice—one of which was even tamed by Katherine."
Leo’s interest was immediately piqued.
"Then shouldn’t they have things of our interest? What do we provide?"
"Well, just like the talent information of the Elven Empress, we provide our Emperor’s. Sometimes other things too, like some large-scale teleportation that can only be done by the Emperor because of environmental factors."
Leo frowned slightly.
"So... even my information can be sold to them?" he asked.
"Nah, not sold. They might already have it. Your information wasn’t as protected as our Emperors’. Though specific details—like you being able to enhance your bloodline—won’t be available to them, since we only got to know that now."
Leo’s eyes narrowed.
"So? Will it be sold now?"
"Hm?" Brant glanced at Katherine.
"Do we know anything about this brat’s talent?"
Katherine shook her head faintly.
"No. He is way too cautious for his own good. We’ve been guiding and teaching him for almost 2 months, and he still doesn’t trust us enough to properly display his abilities. How can we even know it?"
Leo smirked at that. It seemed his information wasn’t even known to the closest people around him.
After that, Lily spoke.
"I think Kaelion can tame it. I don’t need it since I already have Lunaria with the same elements."
The Thunderveil Skyreaver possessed both wind and lightning elements, making it similar to Lunaria.
"But having more beasts with similar elements will let you have more skills—oh wait, Spirit Callers can copy as many skills as they want," Katherine recalled mid-sentence.
"But..." Lily started, her voice a bit contemplative. Everyone turned their attention to her.
"He will need to make it submit."
At that, the Skyreaver let out a thunderous screech, its cry tearing through the air as the clouds above churned with surging mana.
"Why?" Leo asked.
"Because I was the one who resurrected it. It wants to be tamed by me to repay the favour. If I don’t want it, it would rather become a domesticated beast—or remain free and support me in a future crisis on its own."
But someone had already stopped listening the moment Lily mentioned submission.
Kaelion had already leapt high into the air in his Soul Fusion form.
His height had increased even further after he and Singham ranked up—now standing at a staggering 8’8". In Soul Fusion, his strength reached Low 4-star, equal to the Skyreaver.

Singham’s projection roared like a lion, the sound reverberating through the air and forcing the spirit beast to recoil mid-flight.
The Skyreaver flapped its wings, trying to gain altitude—but it had barely risen a few meters before—
BOOM!
A crushing punch slammed into its head, sending it tumbling downward.
KRAAAAAAAGH!
The bird screeched as a bolt of lightning tore through the sky and crashed down.
Crackle—BOOM!
Kaelion twisted mid-air and barely dodged it, the electric aftershock grazing past him.
"Grivak! Use [Magic Stingers]!"
The scorpion materialized instantly, its stinger already glowing with condensed energy.
Fhish! Fhish! Fhish!
A barrage of magic stingers shot forward, striking the massive avian beast before it could rise higher. As they pierced its wings, thin cracks began to spread across its spirit body.
"That scorpion is a bane to spirits. Even if it’s ranked lower, its attacks are extremely effective," Katherine commented.
"Aren’t those the special ones bred to counter the elves spirits?" Brant asked.
"Yes."
Despite the damage, the Skyreaver continued to ascend.
Kaelion wasted no time—he leapt again, grabbing onto its talons mid-flight.

The beast let out an agonized cry as the accumulated stinger attacks spread fractures across its body. Though low-level individually, their effects compounded—and without recovery abilities, the damage remained.
Kaelion twisted his body, flipping upward and climbing onto its back. By now, they were already nearly 100 meters above the ground.
His claws elongated, gleaming white, reflecting in his sharp golden eyes.
He drove them straight through its steel-like feathers—
—and then he ran.
Straight across the beast’s body toward its head.
SKRIIIIEEE!!
The Skyreaver shrieked in pain as Kaelion dashed across its back, each step widening the cracks in its spirit form, his claws were literally ripping the beast open.
Reaching its head, he clenched his fist, energy gathering rapidly.
[Critical Strike]
He slammed his punch directly into the top of its skull.
The impact sent tremors through its body as spiderweb-like cracks spread across its form. But as a spirit, a purely physical blow wasn’t enough to finish it.
Suddenly, the wind began to howl violently around him.
Kaelion reacted instantly, plunging both claws deep into the beast’s skull to stabilize himself.
They were already over a kilometer high in the sky. If he fell now, it would shatter multiple bones—leaving him bedridden with his already slow healing.
Below, Leo watched intently before turning to Brant and Katherine.
"Why was his soul damaged so much? And even now, after healing somewhat, he still doesn’t recover normally. What’s the reason?"
Katherine glanced at Brant.
"Should we tell him?"
Brant exhaled slowly.
"Just don’t tell him we told you... It’s a high-ranked demon’s soul-devouring curse. And for it to be removed, the demon needs to be killed in this plane. But it has gone into hiding. So until that demon is killed, he will remain like this. Sorry, but we can’t tell you more—we know little ourselves."
Leo nodded slowly.
