Absolute Beast Dominion

Chapter 726: Nearly Crippled

"VORTHAK! Answer!"

Vorthak flinched mid-flight, already afraid of how his brother would treat him after they came face to face.

"B-brother! We were caught by surprise! Someone strong suddenly ambushed us, and we couldn’t figure out what to do amid the continuous waves of black lightning attacks!"

At that, Azrakar calmed down immediately.

"Black lightning you say? It must be that pink-haired human girl with the same talent as the Elven Empress..." Azrakar seemed to contemplate something for a while, as Vorthak wasn’t getting scolded anymore.

"Alright, return to the stronghold first. We will talk about this later."

No response.

"Vorthak? Are you hearing me?"

While Azrakar kept calling his brother, the brother in question, along with the other dragons, slowed their flight until they hovered in one place, looking up at the sky in disbelief.

"What the fuck...?" one of the dragons muttered.

Outside in the stadium...

"WHHHAAAATTTTT?!" The audience was in disbelief.

"Is that the beast that is talked about in books?!"

"What is that size?!"

"And it has been fucking tamed!"

"Oh my god..."

"The dragons are done..."

These were the reactions of the humans and elves. But the dragons themselves were in no less disbelief.

"I-is that an Amphithere?"

"What kind of Amphithere is that?!"

"That thing has two fucking necks!"

"And what is that monstrous size...?"

"Holy shit... if only I had that sort of wings... I could soar the heavens..."

Back in the realm...

Lily had just appeared above the dragons’ location while riding the Infernal Tempest Amphithere.

Agnivar, flying above her, was no less shocked to see the beast.

And even though Amphithere were technically a slightly lower category of draconic being than Wyverns, that disadvantage was overshadowed by the size these beasts could reach. This was apparent from its 200-meter-long body, not to mention that it was three minor realms higher.

The draconic presence radiating from the Amphithere would have been enough to thoroughly suppress Agnivar if he were an enemy.

"T-that’s just an Amphithere! We can easily defeat it together!" Vorthak quickly collected himself.

Saying that, he charged first, not realising that Lily was calmly standing on top of the Amphithere’s left head.

"Solvyr, use Infernal Breath!" she said, pointing at Vorthak.

Apparently, she had named the Infernal Tempest Amphithere Solvyr.

She drew her own sword and raised it high as dark clouds formed and converged.

SWOOOSSHHH!!

Vorthak released his own sun-flames in response, which collided with the Infernal Breath mid-air. Both attacks tied, with neither overpowering the other.

Solvyr then angled his second head, which Lily was riding, and fired another breath attack that overpowered the sun-flame breath and forced Vorthak to dodge.

"Fucking variant!"

At that time, countless black lightning bolts descended from the skies once again.

"Again?!" Vulcarion shouted in frustration and swerved around to dodge, but he suddenly found the infernal serpent right in front of his face. Lily had instructed Solvyr to keep flying around.

Vulcarion barely dodged the closing jaws and flew to the side.

And even though the beast was a spirit, causing minimal physical damage, Solvyr had coated his body in wind element to reinforce the formerly physical weapons in his spirit body, like his fangs and horns, making them hit as hard as they used to when he was a physical beast.

As a matter of fact, the revolving wind energy made them even more lethal, which could have punctured Vulcarion’s scales.

The same thing was proven true the very next second when a Low 4-star Flame Dragon was clamped by the second head, and the Amphithere then proceeded to keep the dragon clamped there.

"RRROOOOAAARR—AAHHH!!!"

The flame element acted, and all of a sudden, the dragon released a pained roar. His scales began to melt in the extreme heat as Solvyr circulated the fire through his spirit body.

Since a spirit body is mainly composed of its elements and minimal physical substance, if Solvyr were to simply ’eat’ a beast and put it inside his body, the dense, extremely hot flames would burn it alive, even if ’eating’ didn’t do any meaningful damage through physical impact.

The same was true for the Hydra—Pryde. Whatever he ’ate’ would simply dissolve in the dense and concentrated Netherblight Poison inside his spirit body.

The other dragons could only watch as the life bracelet’s 4th dot dimmed away.

And even though Lily hadn’t defeated any others yet, the 5th dot also dimmed. Leo seemed to have finished dealing with the left-behind female dragon.

"Shit, we need to escape!" Vorthak realized Leo might be on his way here, and there was no chance for them to run.

Lily had already successfully hit a dragon with black lightning and had personally decided to defeat him with her sword, while Agnivar, not wanting to be left behind, had also started engaging another Low 4-star dragon.

He was occasionally supported by Lily’s black lightning, which allowed them to take down 2 more dragons simultaneously. But when they turned to face the other three remaining dragons, they had already created a lot of distance.

Vorthak, Vulcarion, and another High 4-star dragon actually managed to suppress Solvyr in the meantime and put a lot of distance between themselves and Lily.

But of course, Lily wasn’t going to leave them be. She quickly used wind manipulation to ride on Solvyr and trail them.

With Lily’s wind manipulation and Solvyr’s own wind element, they steadily caught up.

"Fuck! Fly faster!" Vorthak shouted and shot a sun-flame breath back in Lily’s direction, which she simply swiped away with a strong gust of wind.

"VORTHHAAAKKK!!!" Azrakar was fuming on the other side.

"7 men! 7 men out of the 9 I gave you have been defeated! What the fuck are you doing?!"

"I am terribly sorry, brother! They have unexpected strength! We were focused on retreating, and they took advantage of that to pick at us individually! And it seemed that the ones who were out have returned!" Vorthak explained.

"Wasn’t that the reason I told you to retreat quickly?! What were you lingering for?"

"They didn’t listen to me!"

"What kind of—"

Azrakar suddenly stopped. It was also at this time that Lily stopped pursuing Vorthak’s group.

She had been contacted by Leo.

"Lily, leave them and come back. The information about summoning shards has been revealed, and it’s not good."
