That Time I Got Turned Into a Dragonoid

Cassie (2)

<Not me, but you can,> Cassie replies.

"Dang, did I just reincarnate with max strength or what? Am I some kind of slime god?" he thinks to himself, a wave of excitement washing over him.

<It depends on how you define a god. A powerful being, or an all-mighty, omnipotent and omniscient being?> Cassie answers.

"True," Sam adds, his excitement slightly tempered by the question.

"Well, shut up for a few seconds. Let me check my stats," he says to himself before willing, 'Status'.

The next moment, a blue hologram-like screen opens in front of him, floating in the air.

<Status>

<Name> Sam Allen

<Title> Heavenly Demon, Endless Hunger

<Being> Modified Slime

<Believers> 0

<Blessing> Azathoth The Devourer, Angel Of Knowledge And Life.

<Strength> 900,000 <Endurance> 900,000

<Agility> 900,000 <Luck> 80

<Intelligence> 71. <Mana> 9,99,000

<Rare Skills> Inner Eye, Hunger, Acid, Fire Resistance, Physical Damage Resistance.

<Skills> Swordsmanship (Lvl.Max), Spearmanship (Lvl.Max), Combat (Lvl.Max).... etc.

Sam looks at his own status, two big, round eyes forming in his slime body to read it better. "Holy shit, I sure have reincarnated as some kind of god. Seeing all these numbers, I can assume it's the max stats one can gain, right?" he thought, his mind blown by the sheer numbers.

<Yes!>

"What about the skills? It seems rare skills are the strongest, while these skills with levels are normal, although I have them at max," he asks, trying to understand the power system of this new world.

<Wrong. There are skills beyond rare skills, such as unique skills and ultimate skills.>

"Really? I don't have a single one, though. Wasn't I supposed to be a god?" he sighs, feeling a little disappointed. .

<It's said that skills are manifested by strong desire, emotions, and hard work. While some are born with it, still, it's too random to draw a conclusion,> Cassie replies.

<Since you have just woken up, it's natural that you don't have one.>

"Ohh, okay," Sam said, accepting the explanation.

<It's not like you need one. You have me and the other blessings.>

"Yes, you're right," Sam immediately feels his mood lift up by Cassie's supportive statement.

"But why do I have their blessings anyway? Did I meet them after I died, but I don't remember?" Sam asks, his curiosity piqued.

<We don't have information of that high level. Usually, to get blessings from such high-level beings, numerous amounts of souls are sacrificed and you get the blessings or gift in return. So it's highly unlikely that they even know you personally. It's just one of their works

"Sacrifice souls? Why does it feel like someone did it for me and sent me here for some reason?" he thought, a chill running down his non-existent spine.

<It can be a possibility,> Cassie agrees

For a second, his thoughts went deep, trying to unravel the mystery of his reincarnation. But then, a few seconds later, he shook his metaphorical head. "Forget it. I would rather enjoy my second life instead. I'm the main character after all,"

<It seems you are still indulged in your fantasies,> Cassie's voice cut through his thoughts.

"Urgh... shut up," he sneers in his mind. "Could you tell me where I should go? It seems like I'm in the middle of a forest," he asks, looking around at the endless trees.

<Go straight behind you. You'll soon meet the demons of this land.>

"Demons? Well, I guess I'm a slime, so meeting humans would be quite risky," he sighs, trying to be practical.

"Well, let's go then," he says to himself, feeling a spark of excitement.

Turning his slime body around, he starts jumping forward, trying to get to his destination. But after jumping around for half an hour, his will has already given up. The forest seemed endless.

"Ahhhhhhh, it's so boring... don't I have max level speed? Why am I so slow?" he shouts inside his head, frustrated with his wobbly progress.

<Because you are covering the distance like a slime. Just think of running fast and dash your body forward like you are trying to slide,> Cassie suggested.

Sam was going to do it immediately, but then Cassie continues.

<But there's a catch. You aren't used to your speed yet. So you might end up going way too far, destroying everything in your path.>

"Ohh, shoot. I don't want that. Any other options?" he asks, not wanting to cause a scene.

<Yes. Just transform into any other species.>

"Ohh, so like I have to devour a species and I can become like them, right?" he thought, piecing it together.

<Yes, but you don't have to. According to the data, the infinite carrying capacity in your stomach was given as per the blessing of Azathoth. You have already devoured thousands of species, some at a galaxy level.>

<So which species would you like to transform into? Elf? Dragon? Or outer species such as a Sub-Nigorath or Anomaly?>

"No... no, not interested. Since I'm going to meet demons, then a demon is just fine," he says, keeping it simple.

<Okay. Which gender? Male, female, or neither?>

Sam's slime face slightly turns red as some dirty thoughts consume his mind. "Cough... cough... let's not get naughty. Male is fine," he thinks, trying to sound casual.

<Order received. Transformation begins.>

The next moment, Sam's body starts to transform. He could feel his height growing, and the next second, he was a slightly above-average height man.

Two normal horns grew from his forehead, his hair turned black, and his eyes became a deep red. He was wearing normal clothes that suited him, looking like he was in his early twenties.

<Would you like to change the appearance?>

"No, it's fine," he murmurs, looking at his new hands.

After half an hour of more walking, Sam arrives deeper into the territory. In the distance, he could see many houses and tall structures built.

After a few more minutes, when he arrived, everything was empty. The whole area was like an abandoned village. Still, the houses and all the things were too clean and well-maintained to be truly abandoned.

"Where did everyone go?" he thinks, a little creeped out by the silence.

<We don't know. Would you like us to use your body to sense the presence of living beings?>

"Yes," he answers.

His eyes immediately close as he concentrates. A wave of energy comes out of his body, flowing in the ground like an invisible wave. At a distance, he felt the presence of thousands of people gathered very close.

He opens his eyes, his gaze fixed towards a big, circle wall structure, likely to be a battle arena.

"Is there some big fight going on?" he murmurs.

<Seems like it,> Cassie replies.

"Let's go and see," Sam says, a smile appearing on his lips as he runs towards the arena.

About ten minutes later, he started to see some demons and humanoid monsters walking around. There were children as well, with different kinds of food or toys. It felt like some festival was going on around that arena.

At the entrance of the arena, there were two lines. The first was a very long line with people patiently waiting to get inside. On the other hand, the second line was fully empty, with just two tall and sturdy guards standing like statues.

Sam looks between the two lines, and of course, his choice was the second one.

"Cassie, can I, like, produce money from my body?" he thought, having an idea.

<You can.>

"Yes!" he jumps, directly running towards those two guards. From what he suspected, the second line was for wealthy people. Since he could copy money, he wouldn't have to wait in that long line and could just enter the tournament to see.

The guards saw him as he approached them, a smile forming on his face.

The first guard, who looked like a crossbreed between a boar and a human, puts his heavy iron hammer behind his shoulder as he chuckles.

"Quite the luck, young lad. The tournament is about to begin in a minute. Go inside quickly," he said, his voice booming.

"I really like it when young ones show such courage," the second guard says, pushing him inside immediately.

"Huh?" Before he could even understand anything, he was pushed inside forcefully.

"They didn't even ask for money. Something feels wrong," he says to himself, confused.

But he decides to go forward, the path was like walking through a cave, with more darkness than light.

But after walking for a few seconds, he finally saw sunlight pouring down in front of him. Definitely the entrance.

His pace fastens as he closes the gap.

But the moment he enters, instead of finding himself on the audience's side, he actually arrives in the battleground. Dozens of demons and monsters from different species were gathered there, each holding different weapons.

Sam looks up. The audience was sitting on their seats, with many standing up and cheering for their favorite contestant.

<It seems you made a mistake. That line was for those who want to participate in the tournament.>
