Planet Master

147- Inspiration

Year Three Hundred and Twelve of the Father God Calendar

After the period of the virtual reality game had been launched to the populace, people either bought it straight or saved their money for it.

The people then began to explore all ways of energy circulation. The development of the technology and transcendent related things started to kick up.

As for energy, with the Nuclear Fusion Power Planet and the Dyson Swarm on the Violet Sun Virya, they had enough energy to work with.

But it was not enough for Dian. He needed the development to keep going some more, at least reaching the middle of the T3 Technology Tree and T2 Transcendent Tree.

The Star Chart showed that the outer ring had been explored mostly due to the biological spaceships of the Glings, opening up the map properly so that he could see most of the information about the planets in the outer ring.

For the civilization, that was a leap forward but for Dian, it was just the start of everything. The one hundred light-years radius showed that there were other star systems beyond the Virya Star System, waiting to be explored.

“This is going to be a long endeavor.”

“I suddenly gained it in the virtual world. What? Are you saying that the correction effect is for the Second Class Citizen and above?” Tatsumi, who had returned from the Fixed Planetary Fortress, tried to enter the game and was surprised by its inner workings since it truly resembled reality.

There, he experimented with the way he circulated his transcendent energy. Furthermore, he also tried some methods to increase his power.

But some of them ended in failure. To Tatsumi, though, it felt like the virtual reality game could not replicate something that was not stored in its underlying rules and cause the effort to fail.

“Yes. That looks like to be the case. Furthermore, this virtual world will be developed to be a more suitable reality in the future. We need to be satisfied with what we get now." Charlene said.

“True. At least people can find a suitable circulation technique and I can refer to them. This is so good!” Tatsumi almost drooled at the prospect of being able to compare so many circulation techniques to perfect his own.

After all, although his circulation technique was the best, it still lacked refinement in its details and the way it could work by simplifying it. He needed to make sure that his circulation technique was suitable for most, if not all, people.

With this virtual reality game, that could be achieved.

The family had returned to their home in Giol City and was enjoying their time after some time of separation.

Then Tatsumi went to take his drink while Charlene went to the bathroom to clean herself. Ame was preparing breakfast while Ivana was still in her room trying to analyze her own deficiency in her circulation technique.

Although Tatsumi had shared his Jade Immortal Circulation Technique, every person had their own preferences and slight differences in circulating their transcendent energy and their energy pathway.

‘I learned so much from just trying to add the others’ version into mine.’ Tatsumi thought as he reviewed everything that he had done.

Now that he was alone, he started to think about everything that he previously done, recalling every moment and everything he had done in the virtual world.

‘Modify it slightly.’ Smagenrog’s voice suddenly came into his mind.

‘Where?’ Tatsumi asked.

‘Connect your lower dantian with the middle and upper dantian. That way, you can synchronize your power as one.’ Smagenrog advised.

‘Yeah, why didn’t I think about it? Okay, let’s try.’ Tatsumi then quickly found his own secluded room and sat cross-legged since this was actually the comfortable position to do the energy circulation technique.

As far as he knew, the lower dantian was used to store transcendent energy, the middle dantian was used to store physical power and energy while the upper dantian was used to store mental power. Unifying the three actually required him to first make a bridge that connected all three.

Tatsumi then attempted to connect the lower and middle dantian together, but he felt a great resistance coming from inside his body.

‘Ugh, there is resistance. Looks like I need to decide whether to continue or to retreat.’ Tatsumi saw that while the idea was good, executing it flawlessly was hard and he had to grope in the darkness since no one else walked this path.

But he was a Revolutionary Realm transcendent so his transcendent energy was abundant. His physical body was strengthened by dragon’s blood and it even altered his bone marrow, producing more dragon blood.

Along with Maito Dai’s recent upgrade of the Body Refining Technique Version 10.0, his physical prowess was equal to the Rank 2 transcendent. His mental power was increasing due to opening the second gate of the palaces inside his mind.

Meaning, his power should be almost equal on all parameters. But there were still resistances coming from when Tatsumi wanted to unify the three dantian.

‘Wait…is it because I am doing it wrong?’ Tatsumi thought since Smagenrog did not say anything, likely for him to find the answer on his own.

‘Right! How could I forget that existence came from the mind? I should’ve started with the upper dantian connecting to the middle, then to the lower! That is the proper sequence.’ Tatsumi was overjoyed with his recent insight so he tried it right away.

Tatsumi used his mind power to make a bridge between his upper dantian and middle dantian. This time, there was little to no resistance and he felt that this was the correct answer all along.

A large pressure came from his body, almost damaging the room but Tatsumi was prepared for this so he made a barrier that prevented his pressure from even touching the other things in the room.

‘It is connected and the pressure increased so much. What happens if I connect all three?’ Tatsumi exhaled a cloud of impurities that blocked the bridge and the impurities then fell down to the ground.

‘Then this is going to be the final step.’ Tatsumi thought.

‘I wish you luck, Dragon Slayer.’ Smagenrog commented.

‘Thanks for the guidance.’ Tatsumi let out a small smile as he then formed another bridge between the middle dantian and the lower dantian.

Then the bridge was formed and the two dantian were connected after a slight effort on Tatsumi’s part. The pressure he exuded was so great that the barrier was warped, threatening to burst out. Tatsumi then let the pressure be absorbed into his body and he trembled due to the pressure affecting his body.

But the result…he had connected the three dantians.

Meaning he synchronized the three powers and unify it as one. Now, there was no distinction between transcendent energy, physical power and mental power. All of them were now unifying to form a spiritual force.

The proto-planet on the lower dantian also changed a lot, creating another layer above the outer core, a mantle.

Tatsumi felt like his strength was even greater than before and he could not know just how much improvement he had made since he was the pioneer of the transcendent world.

‘Thank you, Smagenrog. I don’t think that I can even think about this if not for your guidance.’ Tatsumi said.

‘No need. This is actually an idea that someone on the verge of death had comprehended and wanted to contribute to the transcendent world. I am just relaying what he wanted to do.’ Smagenrog replied with an indifferent tone.

‘May I know who this person is? I want to exchange ideas with him.’

‘Very well.’

Then Tatsumi decided to fall asleep while sitting cross-legged. For him who was used to this, it was easy.

Then he appeared at the usual place and went in the direction where he felt the greatest pressure. That pressure moved in his direction and Tatsumi knew that Smagenrog was coming for him.

He decided to go to the outer part of the city, where there was a patch of large land for Smagenrog to land. But unexpectedly, the moment Smagenrog almost arrived, Smagenrog let out a brilliant light before he transformed into a humanoid form.

Smagenrog had the appearance of a man in his teens, with short gray hair and golden eyes, looking at Tatsumi.

“You can transform into a human form?” Tatsumi asked in confusion. He could not understand the underlying method behind it so he instinctively asked.

“This form is more convenient here. I found a method to change my physique to be as similar to a human as possible. Perhaps because I am an infant dragon, my appearance matches that of the teens in the human form.” Smagenrog said while sighing.

“Alright. Let’s go to the place where that person is.” Smagenrog then grabbed Tatsumi by hand as they were flying straight to the location.

Tatsumi felt the surroundings blur for a moment before he got used to the movement speed. They went beyond the city to the countryside, where there were fewer Nafs.

Then they landed on a field that was filled with crops that were available even in the world of the living.

There, Tatsumi could see an old man with long white hair which was tied into a ponytail; the corner of his eyes had marks of age usually seen in people his age, his face wrinkled quite a bit, but his eyes…his eyes were lively as if a starfield were contained in them.

Tatsumi felt like his eyes could captivate someone and even he was affected.

“How are you doing, Sir?” Tatsumi asked as a form of greeting. He believed that anyone who could glimpse into the path of transcendence was worthy of respect.

"Are you that child with Perfect Connection to the Afterlife?” The old man raised his head and looked closely at every move Tatsumi made.

“Yes. And I was introduced to you by someone.” Tatsumi wanted to continue, but was interrupted by the old man.

“I know a bit about the dragon. You can say that we are acquainted. I admire you, you know.” The old man smiled when he saw that Tatsumi was being introduced by Smagenrog.

The old man knew just how much pride the dragon had and to think that the dragon let this Dragon Slayer get close to not only him but involving the old man.

“What do you mean? I am just someone who is given a certain fate and now I become exactly that.” Tatsumi said with a self-deprecating smile while also shaking his head.

“No. You have found a reason for your life, your purpose. While I didn’t get to understand my own reason for existing until I was on the deathbed.” The old man said with a slightly hoarse voice.

If the old man said he regretted not realizing his life purpose sooner, that would be a lie but now he understood that everyone had to carry their own purpose of life, possibly even create it out of thin air.

Although that may sound like comforting oneself, a person truly needs to find their own reason for living.

Tatsumi felt like he understood what was going on with the old man, while Smagenrog did not interrupt the two, letting them have their own time with their dialogue.

“But it is because of the people I know so far that I am willing to do this. My reason for living as well as the purpose of my action, all of it can be centered around my family.” Tatsumi opened his mouth after some thought.

Then the old man went to the barely decent house. Tatsumi and Smagenrog followed suit and then the old man sat on the long chair outside the house.

Tatsumi and Smagenrog then sat on the wooden chair and resumed their discussion.

“Reason for living and existing, huh. I clearly recall my calling to life is to achieve greatness.” Smagenrog opened his mouth and joined the discussion.

“Humph, of course, for a being like you, your reason for living can be simple but powerful.” The old man sneered but his expression was content with what he had.

“What’s yours?” Tatsumi asked Smagenrog.

“That is to become the strongest among my kind. Fortunately, this Afterlife Model has the potential to give me that.” Smagenrog gave his evaluation of the place.

“Simple but it gives him the strongest drive.” The old man nodded in agreement. He truly felt a bit envious of the individuals who found their purpose in life.

“I want to ask you a question, actually.” Tatsumi then went straight to the point, seeing that he had a preliminary understanding of the individual in front of him.

“I think I know what you want to ask. Let me tell you that it is actually a sudden burst of inspiration.” The old man said.

“Suddenly, huh. I think I have experienced something similar. Why did you decide to share it, though?” Tatsumi nodded before asking another question that he wondered about.

“Because it means I have spread a seed of my own. You know the saying: 'You reap what you sow’. I intended for my legacy to be spread around so that many people can use it. That perhaps is the culmination of my entire life.” The old man let out a sigh of relief after saying that.

Tatsumi’s eyes glittered as he understood the old man well.

Then they spent the time together before Tatsumi decided to go back. But this time, he went directly to the living world.

When he opened his eyes, he found that the room was the same as before he had gone. But dust started to cling to his body, and then he used his transcendent energy to clean himself up.

The meeting was fruitful for him as he gained a new understanding of the one who knew such a method. That method turned out to be the culmination of the old man’s entire life, so Tatsumi decided to store it in the Hall of Myriad Magic in the future.

For now, he needed to enjoy the moment with his family.

On the Cerulean Planet, Heavensend Continent, Gling Territory.

Above the Hive, the Overlord Ship was floating. The biological spaceship was used as a relay for the Queen’s Hive Mind for her units in the entire Virya Star System.

The range, which was previously capable of covering the entire planet, now covered almost the Entire Star System.

The Queen could see multiple perspectives of her units in the different parts of the Star System. Some of them had even reached the destination planet, while the others were still on their way to the planets in the outer ring.

“For the sake of the Metamorphic God, we need to accomplish this. This also means that the planets in the outer ring belong to my race!” The Queen sat on her throne majestically.

The throne inside the Overlord Ship was not only used as a seat but as the main relay for the Hive Mind to reach distant places.

The planets that her units had discovered so far were gas planets and that cause her to think about the utility of those planets for her units and race.

“Can I use the gases for the development of my race?” The Queen thought about this as she wanted to take advantage of the moment to become the lead in the races under the Human management.

Then she sent one flying unit to the atmosphere of one of the gas planets. Slowly but surely, the unit was hit by the strong wind and the gas started to enter the flying Gling.

Fortunately, the Gling’s adaptability was tested true and that included the flying Gling. It started to get used to the environment and then its purple vein started to wiggle and its body form started to change, adapting to the situation.

Then the flying Gling had transformed into something that could move in the strong wind, even moving as if a fish in the ocean.

Its form changed to that of a slim body with wings that could catch the strong wind on the planet. Its internal organ was slowly changing to adapt to the gases around it.

Furthermore, the Queen felt that the attack method of this unit slightly change causing those who were hit to experience hallucination while retaining its bouncing effect.

In summary, the unit had gone through a Primarch transformation making it more powerful than before. If this could be replicated throughout her entire flying units, the power of the entire race would be elevated.

But she also discovered that one of her biological spaceships lost contact and could not be connected to the Hive Mind for some reason.

“Just what is the farthest planet of the entire Star System? What kind of mystery does it have that allows this to happen?” The Queen could only speculate since the last thing she saw through the Hive Mind was an ice planet.

“Then let’s set a perimeter around this planet. While doing that, let’s contact the Hinon Federation’s people to let them know about the anomaly.” The Queen decided to do that since this was actually a shared responsibility.

Perhaps, the think tank would be able to come up with some solution.

The Queen sent its small messenger in the direction of the station right on the border of the Contaminated Soil beyond the Hive.

The small messenger was then detected by the people who were stationed there. They were all human since this operation needed to be done directly by them.

Then the leader of the people there raised his arm and let the small messenger land on the back of his hand.

“What? Do you mean there is an anomaly at the outer ring’s outermost planet?” The leader tried to make sense of the message he had received.

“I see. This needs to be relayed to the higher-ups so that they can all prepare for it.”
