Chapter 284 - 284: You, whom I want to meet
"What's wrong, Suzucchi? You have been so down? Are you still depressed that you can't see the fierce waves of the Sea of Japan?"
Koyomi Hasunuma, Chika's friend, tried to lift Chika's mood by easing her tension with her upbeat, positive vibe. Her purple hair was in a high ponytail, showing her white nape, which, despite the high-collar jacket, was still visible through her active movements and the intense winds that blew through her hair.
Her smile was sincere, happy, yet also emphatic as she could tell that her friend wasn't in a good mood.
"No, it's fine. It's better this way."
The fierce waves might be able to hide away her feelings, yet even so, those feelings were still there. It was impossible to disappear, and she continued to exist with her heart.
"So, are you lonely that your "companion" isn't by your side~?"
Koyomi lightly nudged Chika's side, as her face slightly reddened, thinking of the possibility of her friend having a partner, a boyfriend, or something even further beyond.
'Wait, why am I acting like this? Am I a virgin?!'
Yet, she was still a virgin despite being a year older than Chika. Still, even so, she couldn't help but feel curious about Chika's boyfriend, the one who had made her like this.
What did this guy do?
Still, as she knew nothing about this guy, she wanted to beat him up for making Chika be like this, since despite Chika's attempts to hide everything, she knew well that Chika was filled with sadness.
"Um."
Yet, despite Chika's sadness, she couldn't help but appear smug when she had a relationship with Nifuji.
"....." Koyomi.
"What's wrong?"
Chika felt confused by her friend's dumbfounded reaction.
"What do you mean by what's wrong?! Look at your loving smile?! Are you trying to torment me, Girl?! Are you a sadist who enjoys the feelings of a single woman who has never had a relationship before?! Do you want me to be in pain, so you can't be happy?!"
"...why did you react so much?"
"I DON'T KNOW, BUT DAMMIT, I AM SO GODDAMN JEALOUS!"
Koyomi also wanted a relationship where she could show a gentle, loving expression, too!
Yet, despite Koyomi saying too much, Chika only smiled lightly.
"...what's wrong with you?"
"What do you mean?"
"You are like an adult now."
"I am an adult."
"R-Really?"
Chika quickly realized where this conversation would lead, so she quickly looked away, hiding her reddened face. "Enough of this conversation! Let's go to the restaurant and eat! I am hungry!"
"Wait, Suzucchi! Tell me more! You have done it, right?! You must have done it, right?"
"SHUT UP!"
Yet, without a doubt, their relationship was close.
Still, as Chika thought about her conversation with Koyomi, she realized that she wasn't as mature as she thought she was.
'Can I even be his wife?'
Chika realized how shameless she was. After all, she knew well what kind of a bundle of a mess she was. Instead of making him happy, she would cause him trouble, and even worse, might have him live in regret of having chosen her as his wife.
Being chosen by him might make him happy, yet if he had just accepted her marriage proposal at that time, just because he didn't want to make her sad, and lived miserably with her, as she was a mess, she knew well that she would end up in intense regret.
Chika wanted to make him happy and didn't want to leave him regretting it, so she knew it was perfectly reasonable for him to reject her. Instead, he should have rejected her, so that she could understand what kind of reckless decision she had made.
Marriage?
Was it so easy?
Still, the thought of not having him by her side was just frightening, and even if he was a scumbag, it was fine, as long as they could be together.
"What's wrong, Suzucchi...?"
Koyomi was helpless, and it was hard for her to enjoy her food, especially when her friend was still in sadness.
"No, I just wonder whether I am really childish."
"Didn't you say that you are an adult?
"No, I am a kid."
"But..." Koyomi pointed her chopsticks at Chika with a gentle smile. "As you have thought to improve, to be better instead of just blaming others, or ignoring your mistakes, I think that's the sign of how you have grown up."
"...." Chika.
"What? Why did you look at me like that?"
"No, it's just I never thought you would be such an adult, Hasu."
"WHAT DID YOU MEAN BY THAT?! DO YOU WANT ME TO CHOKE YOU WITH MY TUNA SASHIMI, LITTLE GIRL?!"
"No, no. I am sorry! Hahaha..."
The two of them bickered together, as they laughed, yet without a doubt, Chika's mood improved.
"So, what's wrong?"
"Well... It's nothing."
"After all of that, you could say that it was nothing? Do you want me to tickle you?"
"...."
Chika was helpless, yet in the end, she said it. "Well... I was just proposing marriage to someone that I love."
"..." Koyomi.
"What? Why did you look at me like that?"
"...isn't it normal for me to look at you like that after hearing what you said? I think that it would be weird if I didn't react like this, knowing that you had just dropped the marriage topic?! How old were you again?!"
"But, it's legal for me to marry!"
"It's not about that girl!" Koyomi was speechless, but then, dread suddenly occupied her heart. "D-Did you get pregnant?"
If there was a reason why Chika suddenly asked for a marriage, the only reason that she could come up with was that Chika was pregnant, and Chika was impregnated by her boyfriend, so naturally, Chika asked for the responsibility of this boyfriend of his as he had impregnated her.
"What?! No, of course not! How could I get pregnant so early?!"
Chika's face reddened, turning into a bright crimson color, yet somehow Koyomi's words put her in a daze, thinking of what she often did with Nifuji, but fortunately, she knew that she wasn't pregnant despite it being perfectly normal for her to be, as she knew the amount of semen that he put inside her was just too much!
"...you have done it, really?"
"....." Chika.
"It's too late to hide! Answer me!"
"Hasu..."
Chika looked at Koyomi helplessly. "Do you want to try it so much?"
"Eh?!"
"Well, let me tell you that someone is just so good at making you comfortable, and he is such a someone for me."
"So, that's why you want to marry him?"
"...don't make me out to be a slut, okay? There are many reasons, but I just want him for myself."
"I see..."
In other words, the man that Chika had fallen for was so charming that she was afraid that he might be stolen from her.
This made Koyomi curious about Nifuji somehow.
After all, how special could this man be?
"But, Suzucchi, you don't have to worry so much. You are beautiful. Your body is also good. Your boobs are at a nice size, and you are also quite wealthy, so you can be independent and responsible for yourself, as you are quite a talented mangaka. If I am not wrong, you should have signed a contract yet?"
"Yeah..." Chika sighed. "But, it's all thanks to him. If he didn't give me a push on the back and gave me direction, I wouldn't be able to do this..."
"Eh?" Koyomi was surprised. "He helped you with your manga?"
"Yeah." Chika nodded. "He gave me everything."
"....you are done." Koyomi was speechless. "You have given your everything to him."
"It can't be helped, I love him so much! Huwaaaa!"
Chika cried, wishing to meet Nifuji now!
She loved him so dearly that she felt regret for having to hasten her decision to send a marriage proposal.
No, she just wanted to go back to Tokyo, so she could apologize to him.
Still, facing Chika, who had lost her control, Koyomi wasn't sure what to do until—
Ding!
The sound of Chika's phone echoed, stopping her from crying. She recognized the familiar ringtone she had set specially for him, and when she looked at her phone, she suddenly stood up.
"I have to go!"
"What? Wait! What's wrong? Suzucchi, don't go first! You haven't paid for the food!"
"....." Chika.
Fortunately, Koyomi was there; if not, Chika would be mistaken and caught running away without paying, which would dirty her record, or be caught by the police.
Still—
"What's wrong with you?"
Koyomi let out a helpless sigh as she followed Chika, walking out of the restaurant. "Why did you suddenly stand up and walk out just like that? Do you want to go to the toilet?"
"...no, I am not. I am going to the station."
"Huh? Really? Station? It's already late. Shouldn't we go to the hotel? This isn't Tokyo, so we might not be able to sleep, you know?"
This was Koyomi's first time following Chika on her random trip, so naturally, unlike Chika, who was experienced, she still had many worries, especially when she realized how small and empty this town was despite being beautiful.
"Someone, whom I have been waiting for, comes to me."
Yet, Chika's decision remained the same.
"The one you have been waiting for?" Koyomi quickly realized what was happening. "Your lover?"
"...yes."
"Then, let's go! What are you waiting for?!"
"....." Chika.
Koyomi was curious about Chika's lover, after all.
Nevertheless, Chika's mind was pure, and she had never thought of any possibilities, as she just wanted to meet "him" as soon as possible, yet she forgot how charming "he' was and what would happen if she let him meet her friend?
Still, her mind was preoccupied with the thought of having him chase after her to Toyama.
Knowing that fact, she could no longer stay, and despite waiting for a few hours for his train to arrive, she directly hugged him when she saw his figure.
"Onii-chan!"
"Chika."
As the two hugged, Chika cried, and Nifuji apologized.
"I am sorry."
"No, I am sorry, too, for being selfish."
"It's my fault for not making you feel relieved about our relationship."
"I am sorry for being childish, too."
Yet, as the two were in their own world, Koyomi was staring at Nifuji intently.
