This time, Alex and the group failed to contain themselves, as they all erupted in laughter.
The price that Michael had quoted was outrageous. It was impossible for Ethan to be able to afford such an amount of money.

Ethan’s expression darkened further, especially as he glared at the group behind Michael. He of course recognized some of those guys, as he had been the one who had sent Jack and his group to cause trouble for them.
He had given them the green light, telling them that they could do whatever they wanted with this group, as long as they did not kill them. Of course, he did not mind if they were killed, as based on their backgrounds, there really was nothing that they could do to him.
Anyway, if matters escalated beyond what he might have anticipated, there was always a scapegoat. Anyway, There was no evidence that he had not instructed anyone to go and beat up Alex and the others.
Regardless, the reason behind him asking him Jack and his group to cause some problems for Alex and the others was because he had investigated before. In this entire city, it was only Alex and his group that was quite close to Michael.
