Chapter 404: White Mist
Thud.
Lee He Song’s fist hit onto Hei Ran’s waist giving out a muted thud.
The impact caused a wave to ripple through the flabby flesh of Hei Ran.
Hei Ran gritted his teeth when he felt the pain course through from his flesh to his innards.
His Spirit Qi offered him no protection from the Five-Element Qi from the impact of Lee He Song’s fist.
"Damn you!" Hei Ran gave out a loud roar, lifted his leg and gave Lee He Song a frontal kick.
Lee He Song sidestepped it, shifted to the side of Hei Ran and used both of his hands to unleash two fireballs at Hei Ran.
Boom!
Within such a short distance, the fireballs hit onto Hei Ran’s body immediately, not giving him any chance to dodge it.
The ensuing explosion hurled Hei Ran into the air and he tumbled across the ground when he landed.
And when Hei Ran stopped, he was trying to keep himself conscious.
Hei Ran knew that he had to run as it was obvious to him that he was no match for Lee He Song.
The side of his body was bleeding with the huge wound resulting from the fireball.
Blood dripped and pooled onto the ground.
It was the first time that he had been so badly wounded by someone who had no Spirit Qi.
He didn’t know how Lee He Song did it but all that he knew was that it was a life and death situation for him now.
Hei Ran gritted his teeth and he decided to give all he had.
He directed all the Spirit Qi he had from his dantian and executed his most powerful move.
White mist started to rise from his body and he quickly tried to get up.
Meanwhile, Lee He Song had wasted no time and lunged at Hei Ran from above.
He directed his Five-Element Qi to his feet and aimed at Hei Ran’s head.
When Hei Ran saw his figure becoming bigger as he descended, Hei Ran quickly rolled to the side to dodge Lee He Song’s kick.
Boom.
When Lee He Song’s kick landed, the soil and rocks from the ground were splattered into the surroundings.
His kick had created a small crater on the ground.
Lee He Song missed but he didn’t stop.
He used his Fire Spell and tried to unleash a fireball at Hei Ran again.
But this time, Hei Ran’s speed was much faster than it was before.
Whoosh.
When the fireball got close to Hei Ran, his figure turned into a shimmer, leaving a trail of white mist behind.
The fireball missed, only able to leave a gap in the white mist.
Boom.
The fireball burst into flames when it hit onto the ground, sending debris flying all over.
Lee He Song turned around, followed the trail of white mist and glanced over at where Hei Ran was.
He narrowed his eyes and was surprised by what he saw at the end of the trail of the white mist, where Hei Ran had stopped.
Hei Ran looked different.
He was now lean and muscular instead of being plump and rounded with his flesh drooping down his body.
The wounds on Hei Ran’s forearms and body were gone.
They had closed and rejuvenated skin had covered over the wounds.
Hei Ran stared at Lee He Song and spat on the ground.
After which, he lunged at Lee He Song with a fist aimed at Lee He Song’s head.
Lee He Song saw him coming and knew that it was even faster than before.
He could only tilt his body to the side and move his head out of the way of Hei Ran’s attack.
A wave from Hei Ran’s fist brushed past him, slicing his cheek open.
Blood seeped out from the wound but Lee He Song didn’t bother with it.
He quickly leaped away from where he was.
And it was the right decision.
Hei Ran didn’t stop and he pulled back both of his arms and pushed his palm strikes forward at where Lee He Song was.
Two white glowing palms shot out from Hei Ran’s palms and they missed.
Boom!
The white glowing palms caused an enormous explosion when they hit onto a rock and blew it into smithereens.
Hei Ran didn’t stop and he tried to lunge at Lee He Song again.
Lee He Song quickly reached into his sleeve pocket and grabbed a bunch of the talismans that Lin Xuan Qi had given him earlier.
He hurled them in the direction where Hei Ran was coming at him.
Hei Ran didn’t expect it and when the talismans gave out a red glow before they burst out into flames, he was caught in the middle of it.
"Argh!" He cried out in pain as the flames ravaged and burned his body.
Hei Ran thrashed around and tried to put out the flames.
They weren’t ordinary flames and the Five-Element Qi was causing him damage.
His attempt to use whatever Spirit Qi he had left to heal himself failed.
Upon contact with the Five-Element Qi, his Spirit Qi dissipated as if it was inferior to the Five-Element Qi.
Finally, Hei Ran wanted to turn around and run but it was too late for him.
Lee He Song came at him with a punch, and this time, his fist landed with full impact onto the head of Hei Ran.
Crack.
The sound of bones cracking could be heard and the skin with the flesh from Hei Ran’s head splattered into a mangled mass.
Hei Ran’s consciousness went groggy and his vision suddenly went dark.
Plop.
Hei Ran knelt onto the ground with his head down.
Blood dripped down onto the ground from his head and Lee He Song placed his palm against the back of it.
Lee He Song directed his Five-Element Qi from his dantian to his palm and chanted.
The ensuing fireball ripped the head of Hei Ran apart and Hei Ran’s body dropped onto the ground and stayed motionless.
Lee He Song chuckled and glanced at his palm before he had to sit on the ground.
He had exhausted much of his Five-Element Qi and he was tired.
But he was feeling great inside when the thought of him killing off a cultivator came into his mind.
