Chapter 90 : Chapter 90
Chapter 90: It's Bigger on the Inside!
The three of them boarded the train.
The interior of the carriage was lavishly decorated, but it exuded a strange aura.
Mel sat down cautiously, but felt the seat seem to tremble slightly.
“Woooooo——”
A low whistle sounded, and the train slowly started.
Through the window, Mel was surprised to find that the scenery outside began to become blurry.
“Don't worry, this is normal.”
Hestia leaned back leisurely in her seat, expertly pulled open a drawer on the side, and took out a cigar and a cigar cutter.
“Where are we?”
Mel looked out the window curiously, her intuition telling her that they were definitely not in reality right now.
“Hmm.... to put it simply, we are now crossing the boundary between reality and the void.”
Hestia said after taking a puff of the high-end cigar.
“This train is the joint research result of four major organizations: the Fissure Society, the Planar Exploration Bureau, the Ivory Tower, and the Hermes Workshop. It also has a name, called—【Spirit Realm Walker】.”
“【Spirit Realm Walker】”
Mel repeated the name softly, then suddenly realized something.
“Wait, you said we're going to the Void?”
“To be precise, it's a.... borderland between the Void and reality.”
Hestia said.
“When the Planar Exploration Bureau was studying the void plane, they accidentally discovered that there is actually a new dimension between reality and the void.”
She cut open the gold foil packaging with the cigar cutter, and the grayish-blue smoke condensed into a three-dimensional projection in the air.
“If we compare reality to a beach and the void to an ocean, then this borderland is the sand that gets soaked by the waves during high tide. They belong to neither the land nor the sea.”
Following her explanation, the smoke transformed into a dimensional model composed of countless crystalline structures.
“After discovering such a new continent, some guy in the Planar Exploration Bureau suddenly had a brainstorm and decided to see if they could develop it. And what's crazy is that this kind of talk, which sounds like something you could only say after getting high, actually got the approval of more than two-thirds of the people. And so, this project was established.”
Hestia shook her head and sighed.
“They first brought in the Fissure Society, which has the most advanced anchoring technology. Then they approached the Ivory Tower and the Hermes Workshop. The Fissure Society was responsible for providing the technology, the Ivory Tower was responsible for analysis and providing ideas, and the Hermes Workshop was responsible for the implementation of the construction. Of course, during this process, the investment of certain large families was indispensable. In short, after about fifty or sixty years of hard work, they successfully laid the first track in that borderland. As of now, the tracks they've laid in the borderland are probably already tens of kilometers long, right?”
“Tens of kilometers, that doesn't sound very long.”
Charlotte said.
“But it's enough.”
Hestia said with a smile.
“With tens of kilometers of track, as long as you control the speed of the train, a four-day, three-night trip is not a problem at all.”
“So.... I still don't understand.”
Mel frowned, “Are we going to stay on this train for four days and three nights....?”
“Don't be nervous, you'll know in a moment.”
Hestia waved her hand, “You'll understand after we enter the next carriage.”
Hearing this, Mel curiously looked towards the end of the carriage, at the tightly closed door.
Suddenly, she felt a wave of drowsiness wash over her, her eyelids feeling as if they weighed a thousand pounds.
It was the same for Charlotte on the side, both were trying hard not to fall asleep.
“Relax, this is normal.”
Just then, Hestia's voice sounded again, and Mel heard her seem to yawn as well.
“Sleep, girls——”
It is unknown how much time passed.
Mel was awakened by a slight shaking sensation, her consciousness gradually returning.
“Miss Melantha, Miss Melantha?”
Mel slowly opened her eyes, then rubbed them.
“Awake?”
Hestia's voice came from the side, with a hint of teasing, “Did you sleep well, little princess?”
“Are we there yet?”
Mel sat up and looked around, finding that the surrounding scenery had not changed.
“Almost.”
Hestia said, then walked towards the end of the carriage.
“Come on, it's time to be shocked.”
Hearing this, Mel and Charlotte exchanged a look, then picked up their respective belongings and followed.
The moment Hestia pulled the door open, both of their pupils contracted.
“This.”
Mel looked in horror at the other side of the carriage door, then turned back to look at the carriage she was standing in.
“How is this possible?”
The scene before her made it impossible for her to believe.
“Inside....”
Charlotte murmured to herself, her voice also filled with doubt.
“It's bigger on the inside!”
The interior space of this carriage was actually much larger than it looked from the outside!
“This is bigger than the lobby of The Golden Stag Hotel!”
Mel walked in with delight, looking around.
This carriage was completely different from the one behind it.
It could even be said that this carriage was not a carriage at all.
This was clearly a magnificent hall!
“Don't forget, this train was built by the Hermes Workshop.”
Hestia strolled in with a smile, casually picking up a glass of champagne from the tray of a passing waiter.
“To build this train, a total of three Creators were hired. Let alone spatial technology, even this train itself is a kind of projection. Without a ticket, let alone getting on the train, you wouldn't even be able to see the platform at all.”
“Did you also participate in the construction of this train?”
Mel turned back to ask Hestia.
“Not really, I'm not good at this aspect.”
Hestia shrugged and took a sip of champagne.
“Or rather, I was quite interested at first, but when I learned that all this effort was just to build an auction house, I refused.”
“Auction house?”
“Didn't I say? The purpose of our trip this time is to buy things.”
Hestia said.
“The heart we want to buy will be at the auction in two nights.”
“But I don't have that much money?!”
Mel's eyes widened.
“Look at your unpromising appearance.”
Hestia pouted, then pointed to the box in Charlotte's hand.
“Since it's an auction house, if you can come to buy things, can't you also come to sell things?”
With that, Hestia put down the champagne in her hand.
“I'll go talk to those guys at the auction house, you two can just walk around. Everything here is free, eat as much as you want, and when you're tired, just go to sleep. Someone will take you to your rooms. By the way, don't lose that suitcase, otherwise this trip will really just be a four-day tour of eating, drinking, and having fun.”
After speaking, Hestia waved her hand and walked into the crowd.
Mel and Charlotte stared dumbfounded at Hestia's departing back, not knowing how to react for a moment.
This magnificent hall was bustling with people, and the air was filled with an atmosphere of luxury and mystery.
Where should we go to play....?
