Chapter 186 : Miracle
Chapter 186: Miracle
Robo’s body began oxidizing and disappearing.
Park Siwoo and Helena’s expressions stiffened, unable to comprehend the situation.
What the hell had just happened?
Their minds stopped functioning at the incomprehensible sight.
Weren’t those bastards supposed to be on the same side?
No, more importantly, wasn’t Pandemonium no longer supposed to lose any more High-ranking Executives?
Then why had they deliberately reduced their own forces?
Thud.
In the middle of their confusion, Yoo Seongwoo suddenly collapsed.
Park Siwoo and Helena were horrified as he fell like a puppet whose strings had been cut.
“Seongwoo? Yoo Seongwoo!”
“Hey! Are you okay?!”
Startled, Park Siwoo rushed toward Yoo Seongwoo.
What the hell was happening all of a sudden?
After quickly examining Yoo Seongwoo, Park Siwoo grew puzzled.
There were no injuries, and there was nothing abnormal about his breathing.
He looked as though he had simply fallen asleep.
Could it be?
Having thought of something, Park Siwoo glared at the Leader of Pandemonium.
Yoo Seongwoo had collapsed at the same time Robo died.
Anyone would find that suspicious.
In fact, the enemy had not reacted even to the opening created by Yoo Seongwoo losing consciousness.
Unable to watch any longer, Helena approached Park Siwoo.
“Move aside!”
Helena took Yoo Seongwoo from him, and her pupils began narrowing vertically.
Dragon Eyes.
The eyes of a Dragon that saw through all creation pierced through Yoo Seongwoo.
“What in the world……?”
Looking into Yoo Seongwoo’s body with Dragon Eyes, Helena felt goosebumps spread across her entire body.
She could sense a fragment of a monster that had made the Abyss its nest inside Yoo Seongwoo.
Her instincts screamed at her to get away from Yoo Seongwoo immediately.
She finally understood why her father had once tried to kill him.
To think he carried such an ominous power within him…….
Ignoring her instincts’ warning, Helena continued searching for the reason Yoo Seongwoo had collapsed.
But because of the Abyss rooted inside him, it was difficult to see his condition clearly.
At that moment, Park Siwoo, who had been keeping watch on the Leader of Pandemonium, suddenly turned his head.
An ominous sensation made every hair on his body stand on end.
There was something unnatural about Yoo Seongwoo as he leaned against Helena.
Park Siwoo acted immediately.
His hand grabbed Helena by the back of her neck and flung her away.
Caught off guard by the sudden force, Helena couldn’t even resist before falling backward.
“Kyaaak?!”
Helena recovered with a backward roll, and her face twisted sharply.
“Are you insane?! What are you doing all of a sudden?”
Park Siwoo didn’t hear Helena’s furious shout.
Every one of his senses was focused on Yoo Seongwoo.
Helena was about to protest again, but when she saw Park Siwoo’s grim expression, she finally realized something was wrong.
Park Siwoo carefully opened his mouth.
“You. Who are you?”
“What are you suddenly talking ab—?”
At that moment, Yoo Seongwoo, who had been lying there as though asleep, answered.
“יש לי הרגשה טובה.”
Words neither of them had ever heard before came from Yoo Seongwoo’s mouth.
The surrounding atmosphere turned ice-cold.
Neither Park Siwoo nor Helena was stupid.
They both understood.
The existence before them was not the person they knew.
Every sense in their bodies rejected the being in front of them.
Their chests trembled faintly at a sensation they had never experienced before.
“I’ll ask again. Who are you?”
“Who am I?”
Yoo Seongwoo’s fallen body slowly began floating into the air.
“You already know me.”
At the same time, Yoo Seongwoo’s eyes snapped open, and an enormous amount of Demonic Energy erupted from him.
Kugugugugu!
The Demonic Energy surging from him looked like the wings of a Demon.
Upon witnessing it, Kobal and the Leader of Pandemonium dropped to their knees.
“This lowly servant greets the King of All Evil.”
Everything around them revealed the identity of the existence before their eyes.
King of the Demons, the One Who Begins the End, Origin of All Evil—countless titles described what kind of being he was.
Destruction given form.
The end of all things.
The End revealed himself through Yoo Seongwoo’s body.
“How in the world…….”
“You seem quite surprised that I appeared here despite my Fragments still being alive.”
Of course they were.
At least according to everything they knew, this should have been impossible.
But the End had no intention of explaining.
Floating in the air, the End surveyed his surroundings.
He could feel the dense forest of buildings and countless humans swarming like insects.
Many emotions crossed within him.
Seeing Earth for the first time since being sealed felt strangely refreshing.
When he had previously stolen Yoo Seongwoo’s body, he had been trapped inside a Barrier.
Back in the ancient era, when the Great War between Demons and Angels had taken place, humans had been nothing more than one species of insect living on Earth.
Insignificant creatures not even worth paying attention to.
The only reason the End had coveted Earth was because of the existence of the ‘Gate’ leading to countless dimensions.
Aside from that, Earth had possessed no value whatsoever to him.
But Earth was different now.
While he had been sealed, humans had become the masters of the world.
Above all, even in his incomplete state, beings capable of standing in his way had appeared.
How could that not be entertaining?
Kugugugu!
Brilliant radiance erupted from Park Siwoo.
The light of the stars began pushing back the End’s Demonic Energy.
Park Siwoo and Helena revealed their full power from the very beginning.
Otherwise, they wouldn’t survive.
The End wasn’t their only enemy.
Behind him stood the Leader of Pandemonium and Kobal.
At the very least, they had to hold out until reinforcements arrived.
Helena aimed her Sword Tip and began charging Dragon Breath.
Mana from the atmosphere was devoured ravenously, forming a violet sphere at the tip of her sword.
Kiiiiing!
Then, along with a flash, Dragon Breath fired toward the End.
“The power of a Dragon? Interesting.”
With those words, the End extended his hand and blocked Helena’s Dragon Breath.
Seeing an opportunity, Park Siwoo searched for an opening in the End’s defense.
Kobal tried to draw upon his power after seeing this.
But the Leader of Pandemonium stopped him.
“Let Him enjoy himself.”
When Helena’s Dragon Breath ended,
the End’s right arm, which had blocked it, had been burned away and crumbled.
Park Siwoo didn’t miss the opening.
Starlight gathered around his spear.
Thunderbolt Piercing Serpent (霹靂透虵).
The hypersonic spear left a trail of light as it pierced through the crumbling arm and aimed for the End’s heart.
There was no thought whatsoever that Yoo Seongwoo, the owner of that body, might be endangered.
There was only certainty that even the slightest hesitation would get him killed.
Park Siwoo’s attack was exquisite.
He aimed for the instant the End’s arm shattered and thrust from an angle impossible to defend against.
Within the endlessly slowed perception of powerful beings, their gazes intertwined.
The End smiled as though he were enjoying the situation immensely.
Like a madman intoxicated by battle.
The End vanished from Park Siwoo’s sight.
At the same time, Thunderbolt Piercing Serpent pierced empty air.
Park Siwoo’s expression stiffened.
Not only had the End bent backward to evade the hypersonic thrust, but he had also hooked his leg around the spear and locked it in place.
His leg clung to it like a snake and refused to come loose.
The End’s arm, which had been burned away by Dragon Breath, regenerated instantly.
Crimson flames began gathering in his hand.
Sensing danger, Park Siwoo immediately released the spear and retreated.
At the same moment, 【Flames of Gehenna】 swallowed the spot where Park Siwoo had been standing.
Having narrowly avoided 【Flames of Gehenna】, Park Siwoo breathed heavily.
They had exchanged only a few moves, yet the mental exhaustion was already extreme.
The difference in raw power between them wasn’t actually that vast.
The End was stronger than Park Siwoo or Helena individually, but if they combined their strength, they should have been capable of gaining the upper hand.
And yet throughout the battle, Park Siwoo and Helena had never once seized control.
If anything, they felt as though they were being dragged along at the End’s pace.
The reason was simple.
The way he fought was infinitely demonic.
For Demons, the only true moment of death came when the heart was destroyed, so their fighting style was destructive and wasteful.
Even if their arms or legs were severed, they wouldn’t so much as blink and would continue charging forward to threaten their opponent’s life.
Naturally, fighting them was exhausting.
Helena and Park Siwoo exchanged glances.
A silent signal for a coordinated attack.
The next moment, both of them vanished.
Becoming a streak of light, Park Siwoo charged toward the End once again.
Three figures collided.
Each became a streak of light, repeatedly crashing into one another as they raced chaotically across the Academy.
Once Park Siwoo and Helena realized that the Leader of Pandemonium and Kobal were not joining the battle, their movements became much more aggressive.
A large part of their earlier exhaustion had come from remaining wary of those two, never knowing when they might intervene.
Once Park Siwoo and Helena began coordinating properly, their offensive became fierce.
Whenever the End unleashed an Authority, Park Siwoo blocked it and Helena poured on the attack.
Whenever the End tried to use a wide-area technique, Helena’s Dragon Fear interrupted him.
Before long, Park Siwoo and Helena began preparing a decisive blow.
Mana gathered at Helena’s Sword Tip.
Mana Mist surged around Park Siwoo’s spear as he pointed it straight toward the sky.
Helena absorbed Mana like a vacuum and completed Dragon Breath.
Countless bundles of condensed energy poured from the Mana Mist.
At the same time, Dragon Breath fired.
Countless bundles of condensed energy intertwined around it, amplifying its power.
Kwaaaaaaaa!
With a tremendous explosion, their combined attack pierced through the End.
Kobal’s expression stiffened when he saw it.
He erupted with power as though he were about to leap up and tear them apart himself.
The Leader of Pandemonium quietly spoke.
“Your faith is lacking.”
Sure enough.
When the violent explosion cleared, the End was nowhere to be seen.
He had already appeared behind Helena, grabbed her, and slammed her into the ground.
A momentary opening created by carelessness.
The End tore into that opening like a starving hyena.
“That Dragon Power of yours. It was rather troublesome.”
“How did you……?”
Helena couldn’t understand how the End had suddenly appeared behind her.
He had definitely been struck by their attack and sent flying.
But that had been the End’s plan.
He had deliberately allowed them to hit him, sacrificing part of his body, then used Malphas’s Spatial Authority to move behind them.
Having seized control of the battle once again, he summoned a crimson Demonic Sword into his hand.
Levatein.
The Demonic Sword created through the power of 【Flames of Gehenna】 and 【Dark Relic】 aimed for Helena’s neck.
“Noooooooo!”
Park Siwoo drew out all his power and charged forward to stop him.
Facing approaching death, Helena tightly shut her eyes.
Was this really the end?
Was she going to die at the End’s hands?
A faint hope arose within her.
Perhaps a miracle would happen.
Perhaps Yoo Seongwoo would regain his senses and drive the End out.
Realizing that tiny hope, the End sneered.
“Still hoping for a miracle until the very end. But the miracle you desire will not happen. Because there is no longer any stage left for my Vessel to appear upon.”
With those words, the End’s sword once again aimed for Helena.
At that moment, a massive slash flew in and severed the End’s upper body.
An old man’s voice came from not far away.
“It seems miracles do exist after all.”
