Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!

Chapter 1164: I Can’t Wait Any Longer

Arthur Sutton couldn’t wait to live together with his wife and child. After getting Janelle Tollman’s consent, they arranged a time to go house hunting together.

Janelle: "We don’t really need to buy such a big place. My mom definitely won’t come and live with us."

Arthur Sutton: "Why? Does mom find it inconvenient?"

Janelle shook her head with a smile and explained, "She said long ago that I should hurry up and find someone suitable to marry and move out. That way, she would have less to worry about and could invite her friends over for visits, plus she wouldn’t have kids constantly bothering her when she’s trying to shoot videos."

Arthur Sutton smiled knowingly, "No worries, we’ll leave a spare room. If mom misses the kids, she can come and stay for a few days. It’s not far away, so it’s convenient either way."

Janelle nodded, "As you say. How about this place then? The backyard is big; Noah will definitely love it."

Arthur Sutton: "Alright, I’ll get the relevant paperwork done in the next couple of days and aim to move in by this weekend."

Janelle: "It’s not really that urgent, we..."

"I can’t quite wait any longer." Arthur Sutton interrupted Janelle’s words lightly.

Janelle was taken aback for a moment, then smiled without saying anything further.

Despite already handling wedding arrangements, the two hadn’t truly lived together yet.

Their current relationship was somewhat contradictory, akin to a couple married for years, yet also like lovers who had only recently met, feeling shy in some intimate gestures.

It was nearly time to pick up the child from school, so after briefly discussing with someone from the sales office, Arthur Sutton left with Janelle.

"By the way, Janelle, a classmate of mine recently returned to the country. I learned during our chat that he seems to have some research on memory loss. I mentioned your situation to him a couple of days ago; maybe we could find some time to visit him?"

Janelle paused for a moment, then said in silence, "Is it really necessary? I feel that those lost memories don’t greatly affect my current life."

Even though she said this, Arthur Sutton could tell she was somewhat concerned.

She likely felt that every method had been tried, losing confidence in recovering her memory, and feared it would be a hassle for him, thus comforting herself this way.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t still be taking those memory restoration pills.

"Let’s give it a try. He has time tonight. Shall we go after dinner? Just treat it as a walk."

Hearing Arthur Sutton’s suggestion, Janelle nodded in agreement.

Though not holding much hope, she still looked forward to a small chance for improvement.

Just as they returned home, Janelle received a call from Wayne Archer.

It had been quite some time since they last met. Janelle shared with Wayne her situation with Arthur Sutton, and Wayne respected her choice, expressing hope to remain friends in the future.

This was naturally the outcome Janelle hoped for, though there would still be some caution, nothing to the extent of breaking off all contact.

Wayne: "I’m planning to return tomorrow or the day after. Your medication should be almost finished, right? I’ll bring you some more."

Janelle politely declined, "No need, Brother Archer. I originally planned to stop taking them once I’m done. They haven’t been effective even after all this time, so I’ll let things take their course. Besides, Arthur mentioned he has a friend researching this area, and he plans to take me to see him after dinner."

Wayne was silent for a few seconds before saying, "Are you going to see him soon?"

Janelle chuckled lightly, "Yes, though I don’t have high hopes. After all, every method that could be tried has been tried before."

Wayne replied softly, "As long as you’re happy now, there’s no need to dwell too much on the past."

Janelle: "I think the same way. But he said to give it a try. By the way, how long are you staying when you return?"

Wayne: "As long as needed."

Janelle: "I’m having my wedding at the end of next month. You should come too."

Wayne hid his inner bitterness. Nothing was apparent through the receiver, "Sure, I’ll definitely be there."
