Undead Mage: I Have a Skeleton Clone

Chapter 650 - 439: Decisive Victory, Enormous Gains, Two Divine Skills!

The skeletons and zombies staggered aimlessly, trampling and crashing into each other, oblivious even to the Celestial Court Knight Order passing right by them. The entire Undead Army was simply waiting for its final collapse.

"This is impossible! This is impossible!"

Flames flared in the eye sockets of Vladimir, the Pseudo-Corpse Witch, as he let out a maddened roar.

"How could my Undead Army collapse? This has never happened before!"

From atop the city wall, Fang Zhou watched the scene from afar, shaking his head almost imperceptibly.

The Soul Struggle Battlefield might amplify a user’s Soul Power countless times, allowing for incredible feats within the Soul World, but it ultimately had its limits.

"By blindly summoning an entity far more powerful than yourself, you’ve overstepped the limits of your Soul Power. When that entity collapses, your soul collapses along with it. You’ve already lost, Vladimir, you remnant soul of the Naraku Civilization!"

"I haven’t lost!" Vladimir sneered and pointed a finger at Fang Zhou. "Death Finger!"

However, a black light only flickered faintly at the Pseudo-Corpse Witch’s fingertip before popping like a bubble.

What’s happening? My mana...

The two wisps of ghostly green flame in his eyes dimmed even further.

"Your soul has suffered severe trauma, and the damage is now reflecting back onto your physical body. You’re finished, Vladimir!"

With that, Fang Zhou raised the wooden staff in his hand, a powerful force surging within him.

With a tremendous roar, the ground began to shake violently, forcing even the Celestial Court Knight Order to halt their charge. Fortunately, the tremors only made the Undead Army seem even more fragile, and it collapsed completely almost instantaneously.

Golden lightning tore through the sky above the white castle, sounding like the furious roar of the master of thunder and looking as if the sky and dark clouds were exploding at once. Deafening peals of thunder cracked one after another. Each was accompanied by a blinding flash of lightning that engulfed the Corpse Witch and the Skeleton Giant Dragon beneath his feet.

In the blink of an eye, countless grayish-white bone fragments showered down from the sky like an ominous, snowy rain.

This was the Glory Champion-level skill of the Storm Mage profession, "Thunderous Bomb." Fang Zhou had easily simulated it within his Soul World.

A plume of black smoke encasing a gray-white object plummeted from the sky, crashing heavily not far from the front of the castle.

The object was the upper half of a human skeleton, still entwined with lingering strands of electricity. Its skull was covered in cracks, and the ghostly green flames in its eye sockets were so dim they were almost invisible. Its left arm was severed clean at the shoulder, gone without a trace. Its right arm, with only the part above the wrist remaining, was barely propping up its body to keep it from collapsing completely.

Vladimir, the Pseudo-Corpse Witch, had reached his end.

"To think that a mere Black Iron Tier Undead Mage would possess such immense Soul Power... A castle, an army, and mastery over such formidable Magic Configurations," Vladimir suddenly said in a low voice. "Since that is the case, let us become one. You defeated me, so it is only natural that everything I have should become your prize.

"One day, I shall be reborn from your shell."

As his voice fell, the two dim Undead Flames in the Pseudo-Corpse Witch’s eye sockets flickered out. Then, his body swayed and, to Fang Zhou’s astonishment, collapsed into countless fine bone fragments! They shot off like a dense Arrow Rain, scattering to every corner of the Soul World.

Fang Zhou was momentarily dumbfounded.

These bone fragments were the tangible manifestation of Vladimir’s Soul Power. Previously, under the Pseudo-Corpse Witch’s will, they had been immensely powerful, forcing Fang Zhou into a hard-fought Soul Struggle. But now that Vladimir had voluntarily abandoned his will, these scattered soul fragments were nothing more than masterless Soul Crystals.

And they were the attribute panel’s favorite food.

Sure enough, a prompt appeared on the attribute panel.

[Detected a large quantity of impure Soul Crystals. Begin absorption?]

[Option 1: Full Absorption. Provides a large amount of Soul Power but may have unknown adverse side effects.]

[Option 2: Refined Absorption. The amount of absorbed Soul Power will be greatly reduced. No side effects, with a chance to extract unknown acquisitions.]

Just as I thought. A rare feast for the soul!

Fang Zhou made his decision instantly. With a gentle wave of his hand, he activated the attribute panel.

"Refined Absorption!"

An unstoppable force immediately began to strip away Vladimir’s scattered soul fragments. Following a barely perceptible wail, Fang Zhou watched the Soul Power bar on his attribute panel skyrocket by nearly 10,000 points.

A series of repeated notifications followed.

...

Amidst the long string of notifications, the icons for the Soul Struggle and Soul Link skills shone brightly, immediately capturing Fang Zhou’s attention.

Delighted, Fang Zhou’s gaze fell upon the descriptions of these two new skills.
