Chapter 192 : Chapter 192
192. The War God at the Door Is About to Score a Double Kill
“Uh… so…”
Once again, it was Lu Zheng who spoke first, and once again, his words were stumbling and awkward.
He really couldn’t help it. Unless cornered to the point of no retreat by Yi Ning, Lu Zheng simply didn’t have her level of shamelessness.
“Should we maybe… scoot apart a bit…”
Lu Zheng wanted to distance himself a little from this soft and tender trap and explain things to Yi Ning.
But before he could finish, he caught himself and cut the explanation off midway.
What was the point of bringing up such an unpleasant matter again?
“If Yi Ning was just too shy to mention it… or if she outright forgot it, wouldn’t it be totally self-indulgent of me to bring it up again?”
Almost simultaneously, this exact thought echoed in both his mind and his ear.
This sudden ambush, paired with a blast of unexpected warm breath near his ear, caused Lu Zheng to shudder exactly as Yi Ning intended.
Fortunately, that jolt gave Lu Zheng just enough momentum to break free from Yi Ning’s grasp, allowing him to wrestle his body out from under her control.
Only, in his excitement, Lu Zheng failed to balance himself properly and ended up toppling sideways onto the bed, just a short distance from Yi Ning.
Was this… really considered escaping from Yi Ning’s control?
All Yi Ning had to do was scoot her hips a little and roll over—And Lu Zheng would be trapped beneath her hands and body, just like a helpless and adorable junior girl being pinned down.
Lu Zheng glanced at the arms framing both sides of his head, and then stared directly into Yi Ning’s face, which was less than 20 centimeters away.
He drew in a deep breath.
“You’re playing with fire.”
Yi Ning didn’t answer.
She was currently hovering above him, the corners of her lips curled in the faintest, unreadable smile, leaving Lu Zheng unsure of what she was thinking.
The dim lighting made it difficult for him to discern where her gaze was focused.
Silky strands of pink hair slipped down beside her face, falling gently around his cheeks.
It was like a cage, enclosing both of them in this intimate space she had designed.
Such a narrow space.
Such close proximity.
The two could see nothing but each other’s faces.
Maybe the silky hair was restricting the airflow, but Lu Zheng felt the surrounding temperature steadily rising.
If this went on much longer, he felt something irreversible might happen.
He swallowed hard.
“The door isn’t locked. Someone might come in again.”
Yi Ning remained silent, her eyes coolly fixed on his face.
For some reason, the image of that girl with the power of Ten Nings, burying her face in someone’s chest, kept flashing through Yi Ning’s mind.
And every time that image surfaced, it was accompanied by a strange, unspoken irritation.
A feeling like—Something that should belong to her had been taken away.
The strands of hair fell from her cheeks, sealing Lu Zheng inside the space she had cordoned off, leaving him as the only thing in her field of view.
A bizarre pleasure suddenly surged in her heart, gradually soothing the anxiety brought on by the feeling that she was about to lose something important.
No.
It didn’t just soothe it.
That sense of pleasure even began spreading wildly inside her.
This feeling…Was amazing.
Absolutely amazing!
She was an evil scientist, after all.
She had always been the one doing the taking.
The one imprisoning others.
She would never allow someone to just take something from her, no matter what it was.
Even if it was a prisoner she had tossed into the corner, something she barely noticed, something she considered completely worthless.
Yi Ning continued to silently stare at Lu Zheng, her rare expressionless face making it hard for him to guess what she was thinking.
Her soft lips trembled slightly before she finally uttered a voice even though she didn’t fully understand.
“They already came once. No one’s going to interrupt us again.”
What the hell… was going on now?
Lu Zheng was pinned beneath her.
Staring into Yi Ning’s deep, penetrating eyes, Lu Zheng felt like he was sinking into a silent swamp—the more he struggled, the deeper he sank.
Something felt off about Yi Ning.
This couldn’t go on.
If it continued like this...
Then absolutely…Lu Zheng admitted that he did harbor some strange feelings toward Yi Ning.
Whether it was due to her cute appearance, her natural lack of distance due to her original gender, or her quirky, mischievous personality—He couldn’t help but have those thoughts, like “she’s so cute, she should be my wife” or “I wish she were my girlfriend.”
But he definitely didn’t want anything that shouldn’t happen to happen here, in this kind of atmosphere and this kind of situation.
Lu Zheng tried to move his hands, to push Yi Ning off of him.
But for some reason, his strength seemed to vanish like water into sand—no matter what he did, he couldn’t control his body.
Knock knock knock.
A sound of hope echoed again from the door.
“Um… I’m going to open the door now…”
The room’s door opened just a crack.
But it wasn’t enough for anyone to enter, and no one tried to peek inside.
Instead, a small square box was slowly pushed in through the gap.
Lester’s little sister’s voice rang out again.
“Um… I’m really sorry… I didn’t mean to disturb you two again.”
“But Onii-sama insisted that I give this to you.”
“He said the two of you must be careful… This is something he bought from the church out of curiosity a while ago… Anyway, he doesn’t need it, so he’s giving it to you two…”
Her voice turned a bit bashful.
“In any case, please… stay safe.”
Click.
The door shut again.
Little sister-chan had left.
No—hey!
Hey, don’t go!
Listening to the fading footsteps outside the door, Lu Zheng felt a wave of despair wash over him.
If she’d come in, maybe Yi Ning would’ve gotten off of him, right?
“Scared?”
Just as Lu Zheng closed his eyes in desperation, Yi Ning suddenly brought her face close to his, and that familiar playful tone once again slipped into his ear.
Lu Zheng: “?”
He nervously opened his eyes.
What he saw was Yi Ning’s sly, glimmering eyes.
That familiar gaze made Lu Zheng breathe a little easier.
It was the original Yi Ning.
Seeing him open his eyes, Yi Ning straightened up, her legs kneeling on either side of Lu Zheng’s waist, her face brimming with the glee of a successful scheme.
“You were acting just now?”
Lu Zheng stared up at her, disbelief in his eyes.
She really didn’t look like she was acting.
Yi Ning turned her head slightly, narrowing her eyes at an angle Lu Zheng couldn’t see.
“Who do you think I am?”
“As a professional villain, excellent acting skills are essential.”
She nodded her head like she was making some profound point, then looked down at Lu Zheng with a triumphant smile.
“Don’t think your little tricks can fool me—this young lady is way sharper than you think~”
What little tricks? What did I do?
Lu Zheng gave Yi Ning a helpless look and tried to prop himself up from the bed.
But whether it was intentional or not, Yi Ning was kneeling with her legs apart, and her position was directly above Lu Zheng’s rising platform.
As he sat up, their distance instantly shrank, and due to the height difference, Lu Zheng’s face ended up pressing lightly against Yi Ning’s stomach.
“Ara~ You’re being so bold, sticking your face to my belly~ Are you… addicted to the taste now?”
Thanks to the clothes between them, Lu Zheng’s faint breathing didn’t quite reach Yi Ning’s soft little belly, so it didn’t make it tremble from embarrassment.
Yi Ning merely covered her mouth with her hand and let out a mischievous “pfft pfft” giggle.
After she had her fill of laughter, she climbed off of Lu Zheng, moved to the edge of the bed, and deliberately struck a seductive pose.
She slowly slipped off her white coat just a bit.
“Staring at me like that… could it be… you want to bathe with me~?”
