Chapter 171 : Chapter 171
171. Bipedal Dragon, Get☆Daze!(
“Huh?”
Lu Zheng’s shout to stop the engine was so abrupt that Yi Ning didn’t even have time to process it.
But out of trust in Lu Zheng, her body moved instinctively to follow his command.
She pulled the control stick and brought the helicopter to a hover in mid-air.
Almost the moment the helicopter stopped, a dark shadow appeared before them. At the same time, a powerful gust of wind slammed into them, causing the helicopter to shake slightly.
The violent wind made it hard for Yi Ning to keep her eyes open. She instinctively raised her hand to shield them.
Lu Zheng, beside her, wasn’t as delicate. Despite the fierce wind pressure, his eyes remained wide open, locked onto the approaching entity.
Its entire body, including wings, was covered in dense scales. Its legs ended in talons resembling an eagle’s claws. A long tail tapered into a sharp, barbed point...
A wild bipedal dragon had appeared!
As the wind died down, Yi Ning opened her eyes again and cried out in shock at the sight of the creature.
“Whoa! This alien planet really has everything—even bipedal dragons!”
“ROAR—!”
The bipedal dragon flapped its wings and slowly turned in the air, letting out a deafening roar at Yi Ning and Lu Zheng.
A tremendous draconic pressure radiated from its body. The mice in the running wheels were so terrified they went limp—one of them even tumbled through the wheel several times.
But this kind of thing had no effect on Yi Ning and Lu Zheng.
As a professional hero, Lu Zheng’s mental fortitude was rock solid.
What’s more, the bipedal dragon wasn’t even stronger than he was.
And Yi Ning, being a professional evil scientist, carried plenty of equipment to resist mental attacks. This pitiful display of dragon aura not only failed to scare her—it made her eyes sparkle with excitement.
Staring at the mighty dragon before her, Yi Ning instantly began to loathe her cobbled-together helicopter.
Flying a chopper? How could that compare to riding a dragon?
She gripped the control stick with one hand and grabbed Lu Zheng’s shirt with the other, shaking him wildly, her words bursting with excitement.
“Lu Zheng! You’re the one I’ve chosen!”
“Use Point to End!”
This bipedal dragon—Yi Ning was going to get it!
Lu Zheng twitched at the corners of his eyes.
Where the hell was he supposed to pull a Point to End from? Did she think he was some kind of scallion-wielding duck popping out of nowhere?
Even if Yi Ning handed him a skill disc on the spot, he was the crucial engine operator—he couldn’t leave his station!
And besides…
“Do you have a Pokéball?”
“Nope.”
Yi Ning shook her head.
“Momotaro rice ball?”
“Also nope.”
“Mount Skill A+?”
“Am I some sort of Heroic Spirit?”
You’ve got none of it.
Lu Zheng was getting confused: “So how are you going to ‘Bipedal Dragon, get☆daze’?”
“Are fists not wondrous tools? As the saying goes, ‘The son does not speak of ghosts and gods.’ If it won’t submit, then let it feel the femininity deep in its soul—let it succumb to it!”
So basically you’re saying you want to beat it into submission with your fists?
Lu Zheng rolled his eyes. “I can’t leave my seat. If you want to catch it, you’ll have to use the weapons on your helicopter.”
Hearing that, Yi Ning tilted her head in confusion, looking at Lu Zheng as if he were the one not making sense.
“This thing’s made of wood. Even if it did have weapons, I doubt wooden bullets could pierce that thing’s body.”
Lu Zheng: “?”
Lu Zheng: “!”
He couldn’t leave his seat. Yi Ning’s wooden helicopter had no weapons.
Didn’t that mean they were completely powerless in mid-air?
And you want to make it succumb?
Also… was that dragon even male?
Lu Zheng tilted his head, trying to peek under the bipedal dragon’s belly, but that area was covered in scales—he couldn’t see a thing.
Lu Zheng sighed and looked at the bipedal dragon, who was eyeing them curiously from mid-air: “So what do we do?”
“I don’t think it’ll let us off easy.”
Given how aggressively it appeared, Lu Zheng suspected they’d accidentally entered its airspace.
He glanced over at Yi Ning’s control panel, trying to make some practical suggestions.
“Does your helicopter have autopilot? If it does, you could temporarily take over pedaling and I’ll go see if I can take it down.”
“I suspect you just want me to suffer in your place on the bike.”
Yi Ning gave Lu Zheng a very skeptical look.
Seriously? Now was the time to try and trick her into pedal duty?!
Lu Zheng was losing it. He really wanted to punch Yi Ning in the head.
Maybe sensing his murderous aura, Yi Ning smoothly changed the subject to how exactly Lu Zheng planned to deal with the bipedal dragon.
“Can you fly?”
“No.”
“Then how are you going to get over there?”
“I can jump.”
Lu Zheng flashed a confident look.
Even from the ground, he could leap hundreds of meters and bring that dragon crashing down.
Then he’d ravage and humiliate it until it was thoroughly feminized! Make it succumb beneath him and Yi Ning!
Too bad he couldn’t move right now.
Yi Ning had skinny arms and legs. If she crashed the helicopter, she'd end up becoming "Prison Boss the Second."
Though oddly enough, Lu Zheng seemed to have conveniently forgotten that even when he’d uppercut Yi Ning into a ceiling or stuffed her head into an exploding invention, she always bounced back the next day without a scratch.
Did a little crash scare her? Please.
So she nonchalantly said, “You can jump? Big deal. What good is jumping if we can’t fly the chopper? Unless you can manifest a second person to take over, once you jump, the engine shuts down.”
If autopilot existed, would she still be sitting here like a good girl in the pilot seat?
She’d be lounging in the back with a fruit plate by now.
“Then what do we do?!”
Lu Zheng was getting anxious.
The bipedal dragon seemed to realize that the weird machine across from it had no offensive capabilities. It flared its wings and bared its fangs, preparing to charge straight at them.
Lu Zheng tensed instantly. His reflex was to shield Yi Ning before they crashed.
But in the next moment, Yi Ning pulled a gun from her pocket and fired it at the bipedal dragon.
Lu Zheng: “?”
“BOOM!”
A bolt of lightning burst from the barrel and struck the bipedal dragon dead-on.
The dragon froze mid-air, black smoke slowly curling out of its mouth.
Then its body went limp, and with a flip, it began falling from the sky.
“Open your eyes and see—who’s turning into Prison Boss now?”
“WahahaHAHAHA!”
Yi Ning blew on the gun barrel with theatrical flair and mockingly watched the crashing dragon below.
But before she could finish laughing, the bipedal dragon suddenly flipped in mid-air, flapped its wings, and—skimming the treetops—soared away.
That damn thing was playing dead!
Yi Ning’s triumphant smile froze on her face.
She hastily raised her gun, wanting to fire another shot.
But the bipedal dragon wasn’t going to give her that chance.
In the blink of an eye, it vanished from view.
A wild bipedal dragon—escaped!
Yi Ning’s face flushed red with rage at how completely it got away—not even a whiff of exhaust left behind.
