As the elevator doors opened, Janna arrived on time at Lilith-McGee’s private office on the fourth floor of the Magic Tower.
“Thank you, Tower Spirit.”
“You’re welcome.”
Like other wizards, Lilith-McGee’s office was filled with walls of private books and a massive workbench.
The only difference from other wizard offices was that Lilith-McGee’s office contained various specimens of creatures from other worlds, including several humanoid beings.
“You came right on time.”
“Good evening, Professor McGee.”
Upon entering the office, Janna saw Lilith-McGee leisurely reading on the sofa chair.
“Sit down, there’s no need to be so restrained.”
“Yes, Professor.”
Knowing that Lilith-McGee valued etiquette, Janna still sat upright on the sofa, back straight, legs tilted and slightly pressed together, not relaxing herself just because the other’s demeanor was casual.
“Would you like coffee or black tea?”
“Black tea is fine, thank you.”
Seeing the kettle on the coffee table already steeping a black tea bag, Janna made no additional requests that would trouble her host.
“Mm, you’re welcome.”
After handing Janna a steaming cup of black tea, Lilith-McGee closed her book, looking at Janna with a half-smiling gaze before formally beginning the evening’s topic.
“First, I must congratulate you on being able to join the Witch Cult.”
“Cough—!”
Even though Janna’s talent in Muscle Control allowed her to keep her composure, Lilith-McGee’s sudden words nearly made her choke on her tea.
“Professor McGee, do you mean—”
