Chapter 356 : Gate of Heaven

Chapter 356 Golden Gate of Heaven

“Clang—Clang—Clang—”

One chime dispelled the foul air, Two chimes cleansed the diseased air, Three chimes expelled the pollution.

At the very moment Janna-Roland completed her Prayer Summoning, the sound of a bell echoing through the skies reverberated endlessly in every corner of the Turin Wizard Gathering Place.

Even the thick darkness that shrouded the outskirts of Turin City showed signs of loosening under the resonance of the three chimes.

“What a powerful aura of Light—could it be that reinforcements from another Wizard Gathering Place have arrived?”

The Dim Sun Seal, which several people together had been unable to break for so long, now showed signs of cracking under these three mysterious chimes whose origin was unknown.

Especially Grace-Eva, who had experienced firsthand the overwhelming power of the Dim Sun Seal—her heart was filled not only with joy but also with a disbelief that shook her to the core.

“This should be the power of the Law of Light… but as far as I know, in the White Tower, there shouldn’t exist a wizard who has mastered the Law of Light—”

Just as Lilith-McGee had said, among the registered wizards of the Dordogne-White Tower, there was no one who had ever mastered the mighty Primary Law of Light.

The only one known across the continent was the Sage of Light, Umesses-Starlight, a True Knowledge Wizard of Falling Star City, an Eastern Continent Second-Tier Wizard Gathering Place.

Yet this Sage of Light, who shook the entire Wizard Continent with his name, clearly could not possibly have taken action to support the Turin Wizard Gathering Place far away in the Western Continent.

Leaving aside whether he had even heard of Turin, the sheer distance between the Eastern and Western continents was such that even a True Knowledge Wizard could not cross the seas within a single day to arrive here.

“Clang—Clang—Clang—”

The bell still resounded. Unable to deduce the “allies’” identity, the gathered wizards simply gave up trying, and instead took advantage of the weakening Dim Sun power to once again join forces in breaking the Dim Sun Seal surrounding Turin City.

At this very moment, inside White Coral Academy—

As the bell grew louder, the spiritual warning from deep within the soul became frenzied, relentlessly signaling to Yulan-Bloodred that extreme danger loomed.

Thus, when confronted by Anthony-Rook’s obstruction, he became increasingly manic.

“No matter what she is doing, she must not succeed!”

Although she was merely a Third Tier Wizard Apprentice, someone he could crush to death with one hand, the danger she posed far surpassed even Anthony-Rook, a Second Tier Wizard.

Therefore, Yulan-Bloodred’s foremost goal was to stop Janna-Roland’s witchcraft—and then, to tear her apart!

“Boom—crack—boom boom—”

Bat wings flapped, blood mist boiled.

As Yulan-Bloodred’s body rapidly expanded, two pairs of massive silver-white bat wings inscribed with blood-red totems sprouted from his back.

In an instant, the human figure of Yulan-Bloodred twisted into a monstrous form: a human face, a beast’s body, four legs, and four enormous silver-white bat wings.

“That’s… a Mythical Form—”

Seeing Yulan-Bloodred’s body still swelling, Anthony-Rook’s expression turned as frosty as ice.

In the Material Plane, Mythical Form was a pinnacle ability only Third Tier Wizards could wield. As a vampire marquis whose strength had only just reached the Second Tier, Yulan-Bloodred should never have possessed the power to assume such a form.

Unless—just like the Dim Sun Apostle whom Anthony-Rook had slain—he, too, bore divine favor.

At this thought, Anthony-Rook wasted no time. Heavy darkness surged across his body, his flesh vanishing in an instant. As Yulan-Bloodred flew toward the Guardian Barrier, Anthony-Rook’s body swelled.

The next moment, a skeletal figure appeared before Yulan-Bloodred—muscles withered to scraps clinging to bone, eyes rotted away, yet blue-white flames burned within hollow sockets, and a splendid robe draped over its lich-like frame.

“Out of my way!!”

Facing Anthony-Rook’s lich form, Yulan-Bloodred in Mythical Form only sneered with disdain.

Without pause, wreathed in bloody stench, he shattered through Anthony-Rook’s lich body and lunged wide-mouthed toward Janna-Roland.

“No!!”

Vivian-Rose watched in horror as Yulan-Bloodred in Mythical Form bore down. Her own body writhed with irreversible mutations, her very soul torn as if by blades, wracked by pain so intense she nearly blacked out.

Yet when she saw Janna-Roland about to be devoured by that monstrous maw, Vivian-Rose went mad. Enduring soul-rending agony, she transformed into her Cochin King Serpent bloodline form.

When instinct outweighed reason, when emotion transcended life—

Even if Vivian would regret her action in the future, in this instant, her heart knew no regret at all.

“Clang—”

At the very moment Vivian’s serpent form shielded Janna-Roland, another thunderous chime rang out.

Light blazed forth, time seemed to freeze—then, before Janna and Vivian, a towering Golden Gate, vast as a mountain, appeared.

“Clang—Clang—Clang—Clang—”

The bell rang faster, nearer, ever louder.

With each toll, under countless eyes, the radiant Golden Gate slowly opened.

“This is impossible!”

Yulan-Bloodred, who had been about to tear apart Janna-Roland, now froze as though faced with an unmatched nemesis. Terror filled his eyes.

At the instant the Golden Gate opened, his body petrified in midair.

Moreover, under the golden radiance, sizzling sounds like burning flesh arose from his body.

In mere moments, Yulan-Bloodred’s Mythical Form collapsed, his grotesque beastly figure reverting to his initial vampire form.

“This is impossible… how could this be…”

As the Golden Gate fully opened, Yulan-Bloodred stood dazed like one who had lost his soul.

Even as golden light seared his flesh into blistered, festering wounds, his body remained frozen in place, muttering the same words over and over:

“She’s just a human… how could she possibly summon a High Angel of the Holy Realm of Heaven!?”

“Clang—Clang—Clang—”

The deafening bells tolled again. As the light drew in, a magnificent being emerged from the Golden Gate—six white wings unfurled, a golden holy sword in hand, crimson-jeweled armor gleaming, its whole form bathed in divine golden light.
